What is a Velvyan?
A Velvyan is a corgi-like creature that 'peels' or 'hatches' out of a flower-like egg. At birth they are about 5 inches tall at the shoulder and no bigger. Some however can be smaller in size at birth. Upon reaching their adult stage a Velvyan ranges in size from 10 to 12 inches tall at the shoulder. Velvyans' diet consists of berries, nuts, and tunneling creatures only. Velvyans can have any fur color variations, however light colors are very uncommon as a 'base coat' color for a Velvyan. Velvyans with lighter base coats are considered 'superior' to other Velvyans as they can acquire up to two companions and keep both an equal and happy relationship. Velvyans have long tails in which they can use to hold things up off the ground for five hours at a single time.

This is the first Velvyan under my ownership, so we are starting at #1. I went for a very simple design this time, because I am just getting back into the whole designing thing. I thought maybe I should go slowly. ^-^

This Velvyan is based off of the forest, thus the background.

Where is this Velvyan's favorite place to hang out?:

My favorite place is in a forest, but the forest is only part of the reason I enjoy the place. There is a cliff a little ways into the forest, with a few large evergreens near its edge for me to sit under. It's the perfect place to see the entire valley below and the beautiful mountains surrounding it. You can see the river far below and feel the wind in your fur. It's the most amazing place to sit and just enjoy the place, the valley that I call home.

Deep in a evergreen forest lay a bracken fenced lake, what it surrounds is more precious than diamonds to Tsubasa. There lie a silver tree on an island its often called ' Tsurī ' It has been a sacred area. she trained, thrived, even cared for sick there. She never wants to forget how long she has held that close to her, since a youngling, she dreamed, of dying there.

Yes, I know its ridiculous, but I hold that tree in my heart. it shines the most wonderful silver in the moon light. it has been hollowed out, and I have carved my wishes and dreams in the bark, I wish to be close, not to stray to far from my own, home.

Mimi here has an odd place to hang out. Now you're all going to say
that its oh so cliche to say that her favorite place to hang out is in
the forest ... and in part that is true. But truthfully Mi'set can't
stand the forest, there is only one certain spot at one certain
time that you will find her there with a smile on her face. Mimi's
favorite place of all is in the tree-tops, high above the ground
where the world is all laid out for her to see. In addition to loving
the tree-tops Mimi especially likes to sit in the top of the tallest tree
and watch as the sun sets.
