Tell me a bit about her:
Joyce, affectionately called Joy, was curled up sleeping soundly in the back of
her cage when I first began to look through the adoption agencies to find myself
a new companion, a cat as I was hoping. While I looked through each and every
cage, trying to find the best cat for myself, one that would suit my slightly odd,
sometimes shy personality. There were so many different cats and kittens, some
old, some young, some calico, and others tabby colored. I looked through all of
them, my eyes finally resting on a cage containing three tiny kittens. One was a
grayish black, with a few tiny, adorable white markings on her face, chest, and
paw, with blue eyes, and a purple string tied loosely around her neck. The second
was a little calico with blue eyes and a green string around his neck, and the final
kitten was a little tortoiseshell, also with blue eyes, and a pink string around her
neck. The Calico and the Tortoiseshell were rolling around the front of the cage
tussling loudly, whilst the little gray kitten was curled up in the back watching
silently. When I walked over to the cage to see what the three cats were up to,
the two in the front froze, then walked up to the bars, and started mewling, reaching
Their paws out every few minutes as if they wanted to grab my shirt and curl up on it.
The gray kitten remained in the back watching still, though the second my face appeared
In front of the cage bars, she began to purr, soft and clear, her eyes brightening slightly.
Taking a few looks at her, I immediately ran to find an assistant, finding someone with
the name tag of Vetinater, and pulling her by the arm back to the cage. I asked the nice
person about the history of the three kittens, then after listening hard as she explained
what the three had gotten through, I pointed to the grey kitten, and asked if I would be
able to interact with her. Veti nodded, opening the cage and taking the kitten out, then
leading me into room and telling me to call for her when I was done, and handed me the
little kitty. I sat, on the floor in the corner of the small square room, setting the gray cat,
to be named Joyce, on the floor in front of me. The moment I released her she sprang into
my lap again, curling up and purring again, sounding like a little tiny motor boat. I sat there
for awhile, staring and petting her, thinking hard. After a bit, I stood up, cradling Joy in my
arms, and opened the door, walking over to Veti who was taking care of the other two kittens.
Staring again at little Joyce, I asked Vetinater for the adoption forms that would be needed
for this kitten. The girl simply smiled, then nodded, and handed me the paperwork, letting me
know it wouldn't be until February 14th, Valentines day. I shook my head at that, still staring at
Joyce. "However long it takes." I whispered. Now, as I've filled the papers to my best I've simply
been waiting for the date, almost unable to wait for the fate of the beautiful kitten I've called Joyce.
How will you take care of her:
As best I can, to be honest. She'll be loved as most she can, for all the time I can give to her.
If I must leave for school, or shopping, I'll do what I can to give her something that can occupy
her for the amount of time I must be away. To feed her, I'll simply give her what she needs, as
over feeding her could sicken her, and most of the super expensive brands don't do anything but
make cats fat. With her food, I'll do my research first, looking for the things a cat needs to stay
healthy, then go through the brands of food at the store, looking until I can find the best one to
buy for her to keep her happy and healthy. Another thing I'd do when I couldn't be home petting
and playing with her is have her over with my neighbor, who is a bit of an older woman, though
she loves cats. Joy would always have someone with her, unless she decided to hide out somewhere
to sleep for bit. Her toys would consist of whatever seemed to be enjoyable for her, I'd take her
to a pet store and have her look at each one, and buy a few things for her that she would enjoy,
and not simply ignore. Joy would never exactly be spoiled, but I'd still give her love and attention,
as being spoiled is often not good for an individual within my mind. Her things, like her bed and food
and water dishes, her bed would be on the top bunk of my own (a bunk bed, and I usually just sleep
on the bottom anyways, and her food and water bowls would go in the kitchen, on the counter beside
the fridge.
What you know of her so far;
From what I can tell, within the fact I've visited many times already to see this precious kitten, sitting
in the little square room with little presents I buy for her when I can, is that she's not quite shy, though
she defiantly knows how to choose favorites. Throughout the little trinkets I bring for her, she's only
chosen a small few that she really, really loves to tumble around with. When I don't bring her new gifts
though, Joy loves to sniff around the room, pawing at the corners and jumping up to poke the door handle
with her soft tiny paws (She's quite a good jumper, as she's gotten herself stuck hanging from the door
handle a fair few times now). When she's not exploring though, and she's gotten herself tired out from
playing little games with me and her toys, she'll often shuffle up quietly purring, and inch into my lap,
staring up at me the whole time, up until she's gotten comfortable, then while still purring, Joyce lays
her head on my leg, and closes her eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep, and I'll often sit with her for awhile,
petting her lightly and either reading a book or drawing, or sometimes even texting a friend.

Favorite Treats;;
Joy has a few select treats that she'll go nuts for, and none of them are
limited to normal little fishy cat treats. To start out with a little list though,
we can say her favorite 'treats' are hats, little salmon flavored cat fish shaped
cat treats, and wheels. Now, you might be reading this, and be saying "Hats and
wheels? What kind of cat likes those things?" well, heres the cat that does. She
loves hats (especially those big feathery kinds), as she can fit into them and play
with all their parts, and with wheels, well you could probably guess. This little
grey and white kitty loves to pounce atop of them, rolling and spinning as they
wobble and roll beneath her.
