I don't know what specie is this guy, but he makes me thinking of fauns, so I considered him living in the forest and needing to blend in it. Thus I chose warm earth colors, to blend with tree trunks and the ground. I tried to give him a little shading, but I'm not so good at it

The shading looks good! I like the alternating colors on the horns especially, and how you made his skull look like a solid silver cast. I also love the hair!!

As far as the species, I was mostly leaning towards demon/hell hound, but honestly this is a really good idea, and the more I look at it in those colors, the more I think he looks faun-like!
