Equid's Name: Eryka
Age: 2 years
Gender: Mare
Height: 13.1 hh
personality: Eryka is a two sided mare, one part of her personality is really overly-happy and kind and is known to wear a sort of mask around others she doesn't know very well, being she is shy that is. She pretends to want to just snap at anyone and be left alone. She wears this mask because she is afraid of what other people think of her because of how different she is. Those who really know her, know that she is funny, caring and a very great friend. She is a warrior inside, willing to fight for those she loves and sacrifice anything for them. But she often wonders who she is, as she doesn't like to show her true self to others.
Theme Song: reflection -Mulan
Likes: Loves apples, family, friends, nice people, a pretty fall day with a slight breeze.
Dislikes: she doesn't like winter, heat, mean people, people threatening her or her family.
Favorite places: A mountain cliff where she can look out over the land and a forest clearing, a very quiet and peaceful one.
Story: With all of my WME's.. (Word count would be around 662 words)
A lonely mare grazed in grassy land at the base of a mountain, lifting her head every few minutes to check for danger. Her tail swished to the side as a nervous nicker escaped her throat, something was close by, she could hear it. The rustling of the leaves, the sound of paws thundering against the ground, or was that hooves? She shook her head, ears flicking towards the noise coming from the forest ear her. "Who's there?" She asked, blinking as she took a step back. Two Wild Mountain Equids came galloping out of the forest, first a grullo stallion then behind him a pinto mare. "Who are you?" The stallion asked, panting as he held his head up high as he gazed at her. "Eryka, and you are?" She replied, noticing how he held some authority about him. "Griffith, and this is Delicia" He answered, flicking his tail words the Pinto mare when he mentioned her name. "Welcome to my pasture.. Now get lost!" She snapped, flicking her tail as she turned away from him and continued grazing. He took a step back, a bit surprised. "Now who are you to say this is your pasture?" He asked, standing in front of her with a snort. "Because I was here first, and I don't want anyone else here with me" She said, narrowing her eyes. He huffed, and the mare nudged his shoulder with her muzzle. "Would you mind if we rested here for the night, we'll be off at sunrise, I promise" she said gently. Eryka watched them for a moment before nodding, "very well" she said before going on grazing. Delicia dipped her head. "Thank you" she nudged Griffith again and lead him to a little cleared spot for them to fall asleep.
As the sun sank into the horizon, Eryka laid in her usual spot, shivering slightly as it grew colder. She flicked her ears towards the stallion and mare keeping each other warm. She shook her head, soon falling asleep. Her dreams started out nice, with her family all together and being happy as they grazed together. But it soon turned to a nightmare as a pack of wolves attacked them, she neighed out in horror as one by one they were picked off, unprepared they were gone in a second, and all that was left was her. With a whimper she awoke, staring in horror at the darkness around her. "RUN!" She heard a stallion voice, soon remembering it belonged to Griffith. She jumped to her feet and galloped towards him, hearing a snap of jaws closing just were she had once been. Panting she stopped beside the stallion and mare, noticing Griffith had a few bite marks and was bleeding a bit. "W-What happened?" She asked, panicking. "Wolves" He answered, narrowing he eyes as he glanced around. "Quickly, we must go into the mountains." He said, nudging both Eryka and Delicia towards the mountain. She nodded, not even bothering to argue as she galloped, Delicia beside her and Griffith behind them. The thundering of paws behind them made her heart quicken, remembering that sad day she had lost her family. They reached the mountains were other Wild mountain equids joined them, an orange looking mare, a dark brown mare, a light Cremello stallion and what looked like a light golden dappled stallion. Outnumbered the wolves stopped, snarling as they turned and walked away, frustrated. Panting, Griffith, Delicia and Eryka stopped, looking towards the wolves as they left. "Thanks" Eryka muttered, feeling guilty for how rude she was earlier. "So sorry, about how I acted before, I just don't do well with new people" She said shyly. Griffith nodded. "That's alright.." "You know, you could join our herd if you like" he offered, making Eryka look at him in surprise. "Me? Really?!" She flicked her ears, trying to decide if she could handle being with other equids again. "I'd love that" She finally answered, smiling.
