Gallifrey Falls.
Name:
Lyra would be her first name with Vega as a middle name. Both of these names are star-related due to her design's similarity to the night sky.
5 Personality Traits:
Stubborn I Proud I Graceful I Persuasive I Provocative
Lyra can be very stubborn. She doesn’t ever give up easily and she always argues her point. When making a deal or having an argument, her will is as unyielding as stone. She has strong opinions and is willing to prove them.
Just like her mother, Abigail, Lyra is a very proud little kia. She doesn’t like to admit to her mistakes or do anything to damage her reputation, which can make her quite stubborn at times.
Lyra is very graceful. She seems to always walk with a certain elegance and always tries to never make mistakes. She has amazing balance and hardly ever trips. She hardly ever hangs her head and tries to always look everyone in the eye.
Lyra can be quite persuasive. Due to stubbornness, she barely has trouble convincing others that her opinion is right and she hardly ever has trouble getting Ian to bend to her will. Although, sometimes they compromise instead.
Lyra can provoke others a little too easily. She has a habit of teasing others, though she makes sure that they always know she’s being playful so as not to anger anybody. Both Ian and Lyra’s other friends are often found to be chasing her around trying to get revenge on her for teasing them.
Brotherly Love
(Please note that this would happen when they're a couple years older, not right now, I just had no ideas for right now. >u<)
“Ian!” the young kia yelled as her brother batted her ear. She smiled as she leapt over him, doing a little twirl in the air. The boy grinned in return as she proceeded to bat his underbelly with her paws.
“So, Lyra, what’s been up with you lately?” he asked her as he attacked her back, unraveling her already somewhat messy hairdo.
“Nothing,” Lyra replied nonchalantly.
“Really?” Ian replied suspiciously. “… I think you’re hiding something.” He said as he stopped mid-fight. He began to slowly pad around Lyra, almost as if he was an interrogator interrogating a suspect.
“Really it was nothing.”
“What was nothing? You’re not telling the truth! Are you?”
“Yes, I'm telling the truth” Lyra replied, slightly guilty for lying. She was almost too proud to tell her own brother the truth, to admit that she was hurt. Finally, after a few moments of silent staring- in which she was becoming increasingly guilty- Lyra gave in. “Fine, it’s just… some other kias, no big deal.”
“What other kias? Who’s making you feel like this?” demanded Ian unhappily.
“Well…” Lyra said nervously. She didn’t want her brother to know what had happened. She was just too stubborn to ruin her pride that way. If she told him what happened, Ian might think lesser of her. Despite the fact that he was her brother and they did love each other, they often teased one another and she had a feeling that this would be just another topic for him to bug her about.
“Well?” asked Ian somewhat worriedly. “What happened to you? Why is this so hard to share?”
“Um…” said Lyra, still not eager to share her story, “Well, some older girls were picking on me… telling me I was ugly, that I had a bad attitude, that I was obnoxious and stupid and annoying.”
As soon as she said it, Lyra wanted to eat her words. Ian would ridicule her for the rest of her life. She hung her head, hiding her face so that her brother wouldn’t see how much these insults had really affected her. “And… well, it hurt, that’s why it was hard to share. Are you happy now, Ian?”
“No. Why would they do that to you?” Ian replied angrily, much to Lyra’s surprise. She didn’t think he would react that strongly to her confession. He seemed truly angry.
“Y-you’re angry,” she stated quietly.
“Of course I am!” raged Ian. “Nobody hurts my sister! Well, you know, except for occasionally me.” He smiled at her, calming down a little. “I’ll always be there for you, next time these girls pick on you, you come to me. You can always come to me, despite what you seem to think.”
“Really?” Lyra smiled back. “I didn’t know...”
“Silly! I know you’re too proud to always come to me but at least now you know that you can, and you will, right?”
“Always,” Lyra said softly. She had always known that she and her brother were almost as close as twins could get but she never knew they were this close. Ian seemed to notice her smiling goofily.
“What? What are you thinking?” he asked.
“Eh, trust me, Ian, you do not want to hear it,” she laughed. “I think it’s just a little too mushy for you to appreciate. Honestly, it’s a little too mushy for my own taste,” she tried not to grin as she made an unattractive face.
“That’s a nice face,” Ian said teasingly, sticking his tongue out at her. I guess the bonding moment’s over, thought Lyra as she swatted her brother with her paw, resuming their fight. She figured she’d enjoy this joyful moment while it lasted, as it would be over as soon as it started.
