Nevada laid in the grass as she watched the sunset and the night take over with its beauty and stars. To look in her eyes it would seem as if you could see her dancing with happiess, a swirl of joy and sadness dancing together as one. It was her favorite time of the day and favorite activity, it was when she would watch the stars. When she was a little bean her mother would sit with her outside and watch the stars. As they watched them Nevada's mom would tell her that if you look closely you could see the stars dance, Nevada would always tell her that it was silly. Until one day it changed, after her mom passed away she watched as a new and bright star went into the sky right afterwards. With teary eyes she watched and looked closely, then she saw it, it was as if the stars danced to match her feelings. They went slow and flickered to speed up, the new star dancing in its own type of way. Ever since then Nevada would watch the stars in silence, waiting for them to dance their dance again and she would dance for them sometimes.

The smell of cotton candy filled the air, mixing with the salty smell of peanuts so real you could almost taste them. Large beans with hats set giant poles in the ground, pounding them with hammers then draping over fabric to make a giant wide space, almost like a coliseum. The sun had arisen only few hours ago leaving slight hints of red and orange along the pail blue sky. Sweat rolled down my cheek, cooling me off for just a second before the hot august air shone on my with full force once more. Despite the weather it still was my favorite time of year, when all of the circuses and fairs come around. Being just a young bean back then my foot pads were tiny so the hard gravel rocks penetrated them, stabbing me a bit but not enough to bleed. My favorite part of the fair was at night, when you could ride the Ferris wheel when its lights are at their brightest and the crackling sound of fire works fill the air. Little did i know that night would be different, a night when not only the fireworks would illuminate the sky but a soaring comet would sail through the stars. I sat there, the cold leather seat chilled my fur, the swaying seat moving in the wind half rocking me to sleep. As i almost closed my eyes a tickle of color through my eye eyelids awoke me with a crackle following along with it. I stared into the sky for so long, almost forgetting to blink, all of the colors and sounds faded together creating a beautiful piece of art when suddenly a comet flew bye. (can do both!)
