Net piece of advice. Sometimes I add a layer just above the body colour where I do detailed bits like stars, swirls and lines etc. I then use the eraser to sharpen the ends and make it look polished. Ps. Glad you found the smoothing helpful - it looks better Took me ages to work it out.
