Hey, I'm Paint. I currently have 3 beans, and if I
won this guy he would be my last non-nursery bean, and so
I consider him very important. Good luck to everyone!
"My name is Marvin. Nice to meetcha."
Marvin (mar-vin). Although Marvin is of Welsh origin, not Scottish,
I think it fits the way I picture him and his personality wonderfully.
Marvin also has a Scottish accent, so when pronouncing his own name it
sounds more like "Mer-ven".
"I'm a male, cantcha tell?"
Yes, as a matter of fact, he is a male. A straight male at that—
yet love may be rough for him, being YFS-C. Although he
loves children, he is well aware he won't be fortunate enough
to have any of his very own.
"I look six? Heh! I'm thirty years young!"
Yes, indeed, this "wee" bean's looks may be deceiving. Although
he may look to be a cute little youngling, he's really an older
guy with a big mouth and a passion for kids.
"My personality, ye ask? Well, I'm not one to boast, but..."
Marvin is very traditional and if he was a regular size, many
would think he was an old bean trying to keep up with the times. He
always has a smile on his face, joking every time he opens his mouth—
and he opens his mouth often, as he's a friendly little bean. Marvin
is also very compassionate—especially when telling his famous
stories. As any storyteller, he has to be sly and imaginative,
telling beautiful and suspenseful stories with his words—pronouncing
them just so as to create the perfect fable for the young ones he so
loves. Even with how fun and adorable he sounds, nobody can
be a Mary-Sue; he has flaws too (Ha that rhymed xD). Marvin is
very competitive, and despises coming last with just about anything.
He also is very, very, very bad at cooking. I guess that doesn't have to do
with personality, but it fits under the "flaw" category we were on. Anyways,
at times, Marvin can be proud too—typical for a bean like him. So let's recap:
Traditional, joking, friendly, compassionate, competitive bad at cooking,
and proud are words that could be used to describe Marvin.
"Favorite snack? More like favorite thing!"
Haggis. I know, I know, sheep organs and all that. If you've seen "Brave", you've
probably already labeled it as... gross. But to Marvin, Haggis is a delightful snack
that he has loved since he first lay his eyes tongue on it. The texture alone
was enough to create an obsession, but when you added such... interesting
flavor, it became a necessity. He's known it as a family dish for as long as he can
remember—loving it for far more than even the food itself. It reminds him of his mother.
She would make it with her own recipe on his birthday every year, and he would sit
excitedly as she told him a story—him eating all along. Since then he's always had a special
place in his heart for... sheep organ pudding Haggis.
Thanks for taking the time to read my form,
and your consideration. Sorry it's so short, I
had a very limited window of time to work on it each day.
Once again, good luck to all!
