Another extinctquid, this time inspired by the oh so lovely Dodo Bird!
To try for her, give her a name that has a D in it somewhere and write a short story about one of her greatest adventures, for example this can be finding a cave with fossils, or surviving a raging storm.
Please try to keep it no longer than 400-500 words at the most, a little bit over is ok. WIPs and Edits are allowed for this girl <3 The name and story that I like best will win her.

Equid's Name Nevadra
Age: 3 years
Gender: Mare
Height: 12.1hh
Story:
"You are a little slow, aren't you?" a voice said, with just the slightest hint of disdain.
"Well, you are a little rude," a second voice replied with a snort. Both mares let out a laugh and continued on their way. Nevadra had to convince Hikari with all her heart to come up the mountain with her, but the mare had an unexpected spring in her step and proved to be faster than Nevadra. Hikari was a little younger than the grey mare. They were nearing the top, where the air was brisk and cool, the wind sending daggers of cold through their coats.
"Nevadra, maybe we should go back. Dad will wonder where I am." The filly had a slight layer of fright in her voice, which Nevadra found odd of the proud foal.
"We'll be fine, and I'll deal with Saracer later. We had a mission to find this thing, and we're going to do it." The edge in her voice apparently reminded Hikari of her bold demeanor as she trudged ahead with a high step. The sleet only grew worse, ripping through their manes and shredding Nevadra's previous determination to find this treasure. A rumor had passed through the herd that finding the flower of the mountain would bring unending luck to any equid that consumed a petal. Nevadra, with her uneasy and lonely life, had been so determined to find this plant. But now her lungs froze, her mouth was dry and slick, and her legs could only manage a slow shuffle. Even worse, Hikari was nowhere to be seen. When she tried to call out, nothing but a small puff of steam escaped her mouth. She was doomed.
After travelling in the cold for what seemed like hours, she caught sight of hoof prints and followed them as best she could. The snow covered them and removed them from sight unless Nevadra really concentrated. Finally, the snow and ice ended, leading to a dull gray scene. The mountain. She forced her legs to move, ice shattering from clinging to her fur, until she could see the ice melting off her coat. Then she collapsed on the ground, falling asleep from the insane exhaustion the peak had caused her.
When she woke up, the face of her favorite filly peered into her eyes. "Don't ever, ever let me make you climb a mountain again," she said with a glitter in her eyes. Maybe her luck had come, she made it out of that dooms Ville alive and found her friend just as healthy. Stupid flower of 'luck'.[/quote]
