Early morning, before the sun is even peeking through the darkness.

Why is that his favorite time?:
He finds the bright, twinkling stars and chilly night air especially soothing.
Normally the only others awake are owls and little creatures scurrying about,
so he doesn't have to worry about being randomly caught up in conversation.

Personality:
Uju is typically a calm, apathetic slug who is perfectly fine with slouching
around all day long, sipping tea and paging through poetry. However, he is
prone to frequent mood swings and urges to do things out of the blue.
Uju hates anything noisy, even music for that matter. He can't stand it
when others talk too loudly or when they just won't be quiet. His sharp
hearing makes up for his terrible eyesight. While he can hear a squirrel
rooting around 30 feet away, it has to be right by his face for him to see it.
He's extremely kind and would never say anything mean to someone.
While he does try his best to avoid running into others, he never makes
excuses to get away, finding it extremely rude to do so.

Hello, many know me as Element or Ele. I've been around CS for a while now, though I've gotten far more active in the past couple of years. I am active with several species, and I've recently become interested in JBDs. Some friends of mine are already owners, and I've been able to find a few beans that I really connect with. So far, I haven't been able to win one on my own though. I've watched this guy for a long time, even though I missed his quick competition when he was first posted. I've been anxiously awaiting this competition to find him a new home, so here we go.

Odysseus finds it to be a very calming time. The darkening sky and cool air, the painted clouds across the sky, and the faint light of stars just barely beginning to shine through to us. Sometimes, depending on the location, a faint mist hangs over the earth, draping the soil and grass in a veil of dew.

Personality:


Odysseus is no great hero like his namesake, but he strives to help those in great need. Though he can be friendly and social, he prefers the peace and serenity of the whispering silence of nature. Unfortunately, he moves around quite often due to his inability to feel at home. A part of him is very lonely, but he is too stubborn to admit it. He is a very stubborn bean, which hinders his ability to make proper friends. On top of this, Odysseus believes in actions. He doesn't like changing his mind once he has began and he doesn't let anyone try to control him.

Short History:


A perfect hero is one who can live with imperfections...
Odysseus had a calm childhood. He had his loving parents and a little brother. For many years, they lived in peace along the plains thy called home. They lived in a small community of beans, many being elders. In a community like this, no bean was the lesser and all strove for peace and equality. However, in the cold of one autumn, a great storm shredded across the land, leaving a destructive path.

After this, Odysseus was left apart from the remnants of his family and disoriented. Due to his young age, he did not know how to find his way back and gradually put more distance between his family and himself. It wasn't until he was found by humans, however, that he lost all hope of finding them.

The humans that found young Odysseus, and ended up transporting him to America. After a few weeks, his captures saw no need for him so decided to sell him. In an underground auction, a human member of a corporation set on helping the poor beans that ended up in such unloving hands won him and instantly headed for a small sanctuary. Here, Odysseus remained until he was into his adult years.

When he had grown his horns and had grown accustom to kind humans, a family of three adopted the male bean. He was given the name of a great hero, Odysseus. The family consisted of two parents and one teenage daughter who quickly grew to love the bean. With his new home, Odysseus found a family again, but he couldn't help but feel an emptiness in his heart. He would regularly spend time alone, letting his mind wonder to the faded memories of his true home lost somewhere across the world.

This JBD's name is 'Neuanfang' meaning 'New beginning' in German. I guess this is a new beginning for him, his past is his past, and the present is fresh. Let’s just hope that the future welcomes him warmly, whoever the lucky winner may be.

Neuanfang's favourite time of day is the dawn. The sun heralds the day and shines brightly upon a new day. It's a completely new time of day, a new start where all begin fresh from the past. For Neu the dawn has always brought sweet memories and optimistic rays of light. It's a new day , a new page and a fresh start; the dawn is the symbol of beginning and to Neu this means quite a lot.

Optimistic –

Neu is optimistic always, so much that at times his friends find it annoying. The bright side is definitely an easy place for Neu and he has no trouble finding the silver lining to every cloud.

Confident –

Neu is often defined as confident but really he is good at hiding his emotions. Neu always puts on a smile and uses a confident gait, no matter how he feels inside.

Superstitious –

Neuanfang takes everything as an omen and is very superstitious, but not in the way you would imagine. He doesn't avoid black cats, or walking under ladders as such but every tiny thing he takes as a message; what colour his straw is in his drink and what the weather is like at a certain time.

Lazy –

Nobody is made up of all good traits and a few quirks, not even the happiest of happy-go-lucky people. Neu is quite lazy. Neu is a slow starter and isn't one to do anything without a reward or motive. Some days Neu is lazier than others, depending on the day and his mood. Usually Neu is just a slow starter and once he gets started he goes all right.

Ambitious –

Neu is very ambitious, though sadly a fair bit of the time he has not enough motivation to get many of his ambitions done, Neu is quite creative and with the right motivation he can achieve many great things, but often motivation can be a struggle for him.

Neu has just captured my heart. His colours, his smile and the personality that I’ve fitted him make such a beautiful character in my mind. I have put a lot of effort into this form to demonstrate how much I’m in love with this beautiful JBD. I promise to always be roleplaying him, drawing or ordering art of him and to always love him. Whoever manages to get this gorgeous JBD is a very lucky person indeed, and I’m sure that they’ll take good care of him.

The day rose with a spritely cast of shadows, twirling their way through the gleaming window panes. Every twist of the light emitted a twinkling rainbow of golden honey that danced upon the rich fur of Neuanfang. Neu sat by the window gazing out onto the beautiful fields before him. A sparse net of trees created dappled pools of light that bathed the meadows of honeysuckle and canola in a coat of molten gold. Dawn was always the best time of day for Neu. Yesterday was complete, and the new day was heralded by gleaming rays of hope. Everything moved with a new purpose, viewed from a new perspective in the fresh daylight. Nothing ever seemed so hopeful, so optimistic in the eyes of the sun and today was the same. Neu glanced at the room about him. It was garmented in windows of all shapes and forms; in some eyes it was quite an oddity, in others a kind of imperfect imperfection surrounded it. All of the familiarity that nestled in Neu’s heart lay here. It was where his yesterday was, but not his tomorrow and a little tear rolled down his cheek as he thought so. But, today was alive and his dreams clawed at the light that lay ahead, a new tomorrow. A new perspective. Neu picked up his satchel; it was a tanned brown thing, made from soft brown leather and fastened with a once gold buckle. It was not overly large but it contained the small snippets of his past that he vowed to hold onto; a well-loved wooden toy, a small oaken picture frame and a collection of his finest pencils, accompanied by a well-worn notebook. Neu put a cap on his head and made his way toward the front door – unlocked as usual. He twisted the doorknob slowly, savouring the moment. The cool touch of the round brass, the feel of the small scratches etched in the handle with every happy twist. The door swung open with a melancholy sigh and Neu was met by a warm-spring wind, beckoning him on. He gave one last look into the old house as the morning sun highlighted the memories there and shut the door. The satisfying click finished it. Began it. Up with the dawn became a new page. A new perspective, and Neu headed out into the world. To begin again.

Jonas loves dawn because he loves watching the whole world wake up.

Personality
Jonas is a gentle giant. He loves the outdoors and music. He is sensitive of other peoples feelings and doesn't same to have a mean bone in his body. Standing about the size of a small cow a lot of other beans think he is threatening but he may just be the sweetest bean you ever do meet. He doesn't like to fight but if he has to he prefers to "kill them with kindness." He always has a positive outlook on live and tries his best to spread good vibes. He loves to volunteer at animal shelters and someday he would like to have a pet bearded dragon as a companion. Overall he is just a big bundle of fur and joy.
Talents
Jonas is an amazing painter, he is very particular about who he shows his art too though. He loves to paint nature scenes and animals mostly. Once in a while he will do a portrait of one of his friends. He also enjoys reading in his free time, he thinks it has partially developed his personality to the way it is today. However he is not a very talented writer or singer for that matter. He has some friends that are in a band so sometimes he writes songs but that is about it.
History
Jonas didn't have a rough background. He grew up on a small farm with his mom and dad. He was an only bean, but it didn't make him spoiled. He started working at the age of 13 at a small general store that was a mile or two away from his house. Sometimes he still goes to visit the old store when he goes to his parents house. Growing up he was always particularly fond of his father, he admired all the hard work he did and loved when he would read stories to him at night. See not to bad huh? Just a cute little country boy.
