What is a Kora?
A Kora is a large feline largely resembling a leopard or lion. All Koras have a fluffy dorsal mane, starting from the end of the tail and ending at the crown of the head, falling over the face. Their faces are broad, like a lion, but they have wider eyes adapted to seeing in the dark. Koras have large, tufted tails. We have yet to know what the purpose of such an ornamental tail would be. Koras have long, waterproof fur, good for keeping out water and unfavorable temperatures. Much like their ancestors, the cheetah, snow leopard, and lion, all Koras have spots almost covering their bodies. Occasionally they may be more sparse, but they will always have them for the purpose of camouflage in their harsh wild habitat.

All Koras are given a necklace with a large pendant when they reach the age of two years. This pendant fits their looks and usually says something about their personality as well. The necklaces are custom colored to match or accent the fur color of the particular Kora wearing it.

Story: Sky was born in a war and his parents died after birth. Then he was raised by a 2 headed dragon. The 2 headed dragon brought him to the heavens where he was made immortal. The heavens asked if he could free the sky from darkness and bring daylight once again. Sky agreed he would do that and now he roams through the heavens, protecting the place from evil.

Why, you may ask?
Terezi is a character from the webcomic Homestuck, and she's my favorite!

I honestly can't see this Kora as a male, I'm terribly sorry.

Story:
Smashing the keyboard, young Terezi scolded her nuisance computer.
"AAAARGH!" She moaned, staring at the blank screen.
The cold weather was destroying everything -- the only thing great about this horrid storm was that school was cancelled. What Terezi, the dark blue female Kora, was doing, was she was reading her favorite webcomic, Homestuck. The protagonist, John Egbert, was finally rising up to the god tiers of Sburb. The Kora was buzzing with excitement, and she couldn't wait until more characters arose.
KOOOOOSH!
What, wha--?, Terezi questioned, looking around.
A huge mound of snow came crashing through the ceiling.
Oh no, Terezi thought, dashing towards her mother's room.
"Mom, mom, mom!" The frightened Kora weeped. "Are you there!?"
Dashing into the room, Terezi found her mother lying on the floor, not moving.
In Terezi's head, All she could hear was 'the night sky, the night sky, that's who you are... The amulet will show the way {her necklace c:}...'
Sobbing by her mother, the poor dear wondered what the verse meant...

Cel Nocturn is Catalan for 'Night sky"; for his obvious resemblance in color, and the pendant that he wears.
His nickname is 'Cel'

Story
Cel grew up a being of the night. He was never attracted to the harsh light of day, and never would be. His family was extremely solitary; though he lived with his parents they didn't show him much attention further than keeping him alive.
He instead found company in the stars themselves.

Hes a passionate astronomer who creates his own shapes and visions in the night sky, pointing out constellations most would never dream of. His fur was originally speckled with black, and he despised the dark spots. He wanted beauty that stood out in the darkness of his deep blue fur; just like the stars in the sky.


He left his family in search of stars that would forever be within his fur; the family that had neglected him anyways. He met many companions along the way; from the quirky to the intimidating, and faced many threats on his journey. He faced starvation, dehydration, and homelessness, all for the simply hope of bearing the stars himself.

Like many before him, he was a dreamer, and too like many before him; he failed.
He lived to watch his dreams be destroyed; shot down by the cruel family he'd once called home. They insisted it wasn't possible; that he was a lunatic, crazed by the moon and the stars. He gave up hope.
He set out on a journey one last time; and this time he didn't return.


His passion killed him; led him listlessly into the sunset and into destruction by night;
but it was his true devotion that gave him another chance.

The spirits of nature took pity on this strange young creature; hardly into juvenile years; and admired his dedication to as something as trivial as idolizing the night sky. They applauded his work, his journey. They brought his torn and weakened body into the stars, and spot by spot they wove the night itself into his dark fur; and placed him back upon the world.

He returned to his family, glistening with the stars of the dusk and colors of the evening. Proving that indeed any dream could come true with enough love. Despite his trials he prevailed and proved himself to them, and to himself. He set a goal for himself and managed to reach it, no matter how far.

He is the humble ruler of the night; by title but not power. He isn't incredibly powerful; or strong; or magical. He's shy; and accompanied by his friends; owls and bats who also call the night their home. He's thought to be an illusion by most; a drifter in the wind and saint of nature itself.

He will always serve the beautiful evening; and teach others of the stars. Some fear the dark; but he leads them into the darkness with a kind hand and loving words to understand that night is truly gorgeous in an entirely different way than the daytime.

He dreams that when one day he passes on; he'll be placed in the stars as a constellation, like Greek heroes of old; and that he will forever watch the evening sky. Whether his dream becomes true or not is left to be discovered. His journey is one of a dream, and he'll inspire as many as he can; in his lifetime or in the sky he loved so dearly.
