DAM's name: Acinonyx, call her Onyx (based off of the latin genus name for cheetah: acinonyx jubatus. Because she looks like she has a feline face)

personality: Acinonyx is a proud sort. She holds her honor and reputation above all else. Despite the old saying "pride cometh before a fall", she will stick to her own despite appearing unorthodox or wrong. Onyx is very loyal to those she deems worthy which can lead to a conflict between her loyalty and her pride. That is one of the main reasons she stays aloof, to avoid complications regarding other DAMs.
quirks: Her own form of hubris can be seen as a quirk in itself but she also has an odd fascination with birds. Particularly birds of prey since that's all she really sees in the desert. She'll intently watch a buzzard scour a carcass for hours with focus and interest.

personality:Voyager, traveler, nomad, pilgrim, all these are terms for beings like her. Sailor is a particularly strange mare. She constantly moves around and explores while making note of where things are in her head. At night, she always looks up at the stars for guidance before going to sleep. She is also intelligent and makes a fine philosopher. And Sailor knows that there's strength in numbers, but she prefers to be alone, unless she feels unsafe for some reason. This mare is very curious as well, for when she finds something strange, she wishes to check it out; with humans, however, she is much more careful and does her best to contain her curiosity.
When Sailor rests, sometimes she'll pause and listen to the world around her and gather her thoughts as she does though. This occurs once or twice a week. She is also very friendly and kind around others, but when she talks to fellow Desert Appaloosa Mustangs, she tends to sound very sophisticated. If you ever insult her, she will seem very calm until she spews insults in a dangerously tranquil voice. And in a fight, she is very fierce and harsh.
quirks: Sailor has borborosophobia: the fear of mud and mud puddles. Whenever Sailor encounters mud, she'll do everything she can to avoid it. No one knows why she does this, but she claims that she hates the feeling of mud clinging to her hooves and her coat. If there is ever a time where it is not possible for her to avoid mud, she'll either backtrack and search for a different route or force herself to go through it with as few steps as possible (in other words, she'll make herself go through it at a fast pace and step in it as little as possible). Whenever she happens to have mud on her, she will always try to find a body of water to wash it off (if she can).

gender: Filly
height: 15.1hh
personality: Khepri can be shy at first when meeting new DAMs, though once she gets to know someone she is fun-loving and adventurous by nature. She is very loyal to her friends and those close to her and is always up for a good time. She can be quite the trouble maker, pulling pranks and getting herself into sticky situations. She has learned to be a smooth talker, able to talk her way out of any situation with help from her good looks and intriguing eyes. Khepri is a follower and doesn't like giving orders or making decisions for herself. She prefers to just "go with the flow", making her very easy to please.
quirks: She has this strange quirk in the fact that she always sleeps on her back. It all started when she was a foal, when playing she fell down a hill and rolled down over the rocks that covered it, leaving her sides and belly bruised and sore for several days. Because foals don't often sleep standing up, she instead improvised by lying on her back to ease the pain. She has slept in this strange manner ever since.

quirks: Desert Rose has Ombrophobia, or the Fear of Rain or being rained on.. She lived in the Desert as a young foal.. Always liking the heat, and everything about the desert, but when it rained she worried and did everything she could to get away from it
