Say hello to Donner everybody!
Phew, there was one point I was beginning to doubt that I'd get the tack done, but I managed to get my head together and work on it. XD
So, to talk about the concept... well, I wasn't sure what to do exactly for 'Donner'. I Googled it and found several things to base it on (including the Donner party or Thor), but I chose something rather simple. You see the plant in his horns? It's Luzula subcongesta, also known 'Donner woodrush'. That's about as much relation to the meaning behind the word 'Donner' I went, I'm afraid. ^^'
The horse is a Clydesdale (not as heavy as a Shire), with typical cart/sleigh pulling tack. The antlers are caribou antlers.

Show Name: Sir Lord Woodrush
Barn Name: Donner
Age: 18 years
Gender: Gelding (5 breedings max.)
Breed: Clydesdale
Height: 17.3hh
Colouration: Dark Bay Minimal Splash
Personality: The classic "gentle giant", Donner is as sweet as a kitten while being as bulky as a rhino. Sometimes he doesn't know his own strength, and might accidentally knock down a child petting him by nuzzling them too hard. Of course he always makes up for it by giving them a wet, fat lick on the nose. A slight goofball, he likes to romp around the field, running and kicking like a young foal.
Extra No.1: Poem:
Is that thunder? Is that fire?
Only one beast can aspire
Strong is he, a brave one too
running down the hill to you.
He may look fierce, he may look strong
But if that's all you think, I'm afraid you are wrong
For he is sweet and soft, inside and out;
Kindest beast you'll meet, without a doubt.
Extra No.2: Hand-sewed a stuffed animal of him: (got the closest colors I could. I didn't have any dark brown fabric :-/)
Extra No.3: Digital art:
Other: Clydesdales are my absolute favorite horse breed. Especially when they're bay sabino. And dappled. And fuzzy-fluffy feathered. And, just, everything.
