Whiskey Lullaby, but feel free to just call me Whiskey. ^^

            Name
Michael Christopher. Heheh. Believe it or not, there's no true name meaning. I just thought it fir him rather nicely, and it isn't taken. vwv

            S H O R T - P E R S O N A L I T Y
Michael Christopher, the one who's always been different from the rest of the children his age. Michael is calm, and collected, though he loves to talk, and needs attention. He's smart for his age, and actually uses logic. He sits down and assess the situation, finds a logical solution, and puts it to use. He loves puzzles and toys that challenge him, though he enjoys sports as well, and needs to be stimulated- working- moving at all times. He also feels the want for praise when he's done something right. Michael is all for an intellectual or Physical challenge, sometimes both at the same time, but he doesn't like fear. He doesn't like danger or anything that could put him at risk like it. Though as scared as he may get sometimes, he doesn't run to anyone with his problems or fears. He keeps them to himself, and prefers it to remain that way. He likes his secretive lifestyle. He's also patient at times, and knows when to let others have their space and what not. He does try to go back and comfort them when they truly need it though, he would never leave someone on their own. He's not stubborn, but if you can't give him a valid reason as to why he should believe something, chances are, he's not going to believe you. He's very sentimental when it comes to materials. If you give him something, he's going to believe it. Though he has to admit, he loves those 'fuzzy shocks of electricity' hugs that Puffle gives. They don't bother him at all actually.

I really do apologize, I tried to keep it short, but I just kept writing, and writing, and writing, Gosh I love this little guy. I wanted to write more, but I was afraid you'd get mad because you said 'short personality'; I can shorten it if it's too long? ^^'

Favorite item(s);; A Cardboard box, and Paper Airplane. Art- x
        Image

Art Explanation;; Art © Whiskey Lullaby
I hope you don't mind, but my main goal in this one was to show the box and paper airplane in this one more so than Michael. For some reason I felt like the design on the box was important. I'm not sure why, aha ^^''

Favorite Item Explanation;; Michael's carboard box provides a 'safe haven' for him when he gets scared. The walls being close together provide him with a safe place when scared, and a playhouse for when he's playful. No one really remembers exactly how he got his box, but everyone knows he loves it. Michael's sibling helped him create an paper airplane once, and ever since then he's treasured it so. <3

Favorite food;; Ants on a log. Art- x
        Image

Art Explanation;; Art © Whiskey Lullaby
I tried to show the celery and the apple with peanut butter and raisins. Hopefully you can understand the 'Ants on a dead leaf' joke better now cx

Favorite Food Explanation;; "Ants on a log." No, not actual ants on a log, silly. Ants on a log is celery smothered in Peanut utter with raisins on top. He developed this idea after his mother told him he couldn't eat anymore peanut-butter smothered raisins unless he ate something healthy, so he decided to try his attempt with celery, though he finds that it worked well with apples too. Ants on a dead leaf anyone?

Favorite activity;; Hide an go seek, and head pressed against the floor. Art- x & x

        Image and Linked for size

        Art Explanation;; Art © Anima
First Picture; I was having trouble with this particular pose, so I had someone help me. ^^' This piece features Michael resting his head against the cool cave floor with a headache.
Second Picture picture; Art © Whiskey Lullaby
During a game of hide an go seek, Michael found a small crevices in which to crawl in, finding it a great hiding spot- testing his strategy. Uh-oh! Michael slipped down the crevices and is now surrounded by a glowing worm pool!

Favorite Food Explanation;; He loves hide an go seek best, a little because he loves to laugh, though most is because he uses it as an opportunity to challenge his logic skills. Cramming into the smallest place possible, calculating a spot where his shadow wouldn't show. Also, it's not so much as an activity as it is a relief, but when he get headaches Michael likes to lie on the cave floor with his head pressed against it.

M Y - E X T R A S ?

I'm not sure if this is allowed, but uh, I'd like to expand on his personality a bit here; if that's allowed? ^^' Also, beware! Some of this is written like an instruction guide. (Just to make it a little more interesting. Also, I try to reference to 'you' a lot to make it a little interactive, if that makes sense?)

Michael Christopher, the one who's always been different from the rest of the children his age. Michael is calm, and collected, though he loves to talk, and needs attention. If you give him something, he's going to believe it. Though he has to admit, he loves those 'fuzzy shocks of electricity' hugs that Puffle gives. They don't bother him at all actually. Michael is a young, playful, charismatic JBD who never fails to make you laugh. Michael will fuss and squirm when you hold them up to your shoulder and is just fine when you turn him away from you so he can watch the world around him. He's the kid who grab your attention the minute they come home from school or child care by shoving their papers into your face. He needs to talk and he needs to talk now! Too much time alone can leave Michael drained and irritable. He'll clamor to bring a friend home from school or complain he's bored when there's no one to play with. You may worry about his self-esteem time to time because he rarely chooses to play by himself unless he has a cardboard box. But even then he would prefer company- he's just really playful. When he's upset, he don't want to be alone. He'll follow you around, touch you, and move right into your space. If you want him to take a break, he will – but only if you go with him, which often isn't what you need at all. Ask them how he feels, and he'll have an immediate answer, which may change the more he talks and "thinks" about it. Basic sports equipment, such as footballs, jump ropes, and pogo sticks, are ideal for Michael- who craves physical stimulation. Michael's parents swear that a big garden trampoline is a worthwhile investment for such purposes, though he prefers games from time to time. Don't forget that novelty is also stimulating for Michael. His mother put together a filing box of special projects for such times—this could contain recipes of things her and Michael could cook together, instructions for a treasure hunt, or even a challenge to make three musical instruments out of household objects. Many books are available as well, but again- Michael prefers games. While convalescing, Michael is given access to a special box of treasures assembled by his mother specifically to keep him entertains. The box contains a series of intriguing but everyday items: a beautiful shell, a paper fan, a miniature doll. Each treasure is individually wrapped and packed in a compartment of a special chest. The reason why the box keeps the passing times heroine so happily occupied is because it comes out only on rare occasions. Consequently, its contents retain an aura of special fascination. The principle of holding back a selection of toys or games that are brought out only on selective occasions is a good one. It can provide a really useful resource for Michael when bored or in need of stimulation. Many of today's children are completely deluged with gifts at Christmas and birthdays. Whereas Michael's enjoyment impact by staggering access to him through the year? Michael is intensely curious about the world around him and is wants to understand how you see things both great and small and what is important to you. Whether the topic is animals, trucks, the color of the sky, or the attributes of God, he will be all ears (even though his mouth may seem to be in perpetual motion) and deeply concerned about what you think. Michael often decides to charge ahead of you wherever you may be going. His enthusiasm and the desire for independence are far more abundant than are wisdom and judgment. Keep your eyes peeled and a good grip on his hand or he'll slip away from you! Something his mother learned a little late. Michael, who normally is cautious about taking risks may suddenly decide he wants to climb on, jump off, or crawl under something that is off-limits — in response to the tempting, teasing, encouragement, or example of other children. It is likely that he will push you a little or even wear you out with "Why . . . ?" questions. This isn't necessarily an attempt to start an argument but more likely a sign of growth and simple curiosity about the "whys" in his world — including your limits and ground rules. He tends to understand and is capable of appreciating the reasons for your rules. Take advantage of his openness by explaining them whenever you can, or he'll be up and running around searching for attention. Michael's delight in using brushes, clay, paste, and finger paints are high. He enjoys such things, and will love you forever if you present them to him. Warning;; Kid-safe, blunt-ended scissors are also a big hit, but be sure everyone is clear on what is to be cut and what is to be left alone. He will cut your hair. (Whatever arts and crafts he works with, be sure to relax, enjoy, and most of all show interest in what he is producing. Groaning over the messy hands and clothes, trying to "correct" what he creates, or plunging headlong into lessons for the genius-in-the-making are less worthwhile at this age than asking some open-ended questions ("What's happening in the house you drew?"). You'll have plenty of time to get him involved in formal training in later years if he really has a knack for a particular craft.) If you are working in the garden, he'll want to dig and rake along with you. If you're sorting laundry, he may be surprisingly good at finding the matching socks. If you're setting the table, he is quite capable of learning what goes where and eventually can carry out this everyday task on his own. Try not to look at his efforts to participate as a hassle that will bog you down. Rather, see them as giving you an opportunity to chat with him during everyday activities and giving him practice in some basic skills in the process. Don't forget that imitation can include negative behaviors as well. If you use harsh or unkind words when there's a disagreement, guess who is learning a nonproductive way to solve problems. Michael is taking in the flavor of your habits and conversations at home. They form the foundation of his expectations and assumptions about life: what he is used to, what he considers normal, what he will carry with him throughout his life. Believe it or not, your attitudes are being caught. Therefore, you need to not only demonstrate virtues but teach them as well, including "lab exercises" when appropriate. Saying please and thank you (and later understanding a depth of meaning in these words), waiting one's turn, and telling the truth need to not only be observed but also talked about and practiced on an ongoing basis. Whether it's Puffle or one of Michael's other siblings, at a play group, or among other children in the neighborhood, you can bet the children will play variations on "let's pretend" with great fervor. Michael will undoubtedly try everything from copying domestic roles to trying out occupations, setting up play situations, or assuming the roles of characters he has seen in books or videos. He attempts to place logic to everything, yes, but he's a sucker for cartoon characters! Some children enter a bossy phase, which can make things unpleasant for younger or less assertive children in their vicinity. Thus including Michael. He's a talker, but tries not to dip into negative things, and is easily hurt when put down. He, surprisingly, needs a lot of praise when he plays well with other children, "I like the way you let Puffle have the ball so nicely when she asked for it." (He feels the need/want for praise no matter what it is really. It's not just strictly conversation-acting type of things, it's performing things and tasks as well.)

A few of Michael's traits;
-He wants to do everything in a BIG way
-He has LOTS of energy
-He loves the outdoors
-He loves animals
-He loves to participate in sports and other physical activities
-He's extremely aware of his environment
-He has a strong aesthetic appreciation for beauty

-He's usually popular and well-liked by almost everyone
-He picks up on other people's behaviors and attitudes more quickly than any other type
-He gets a great deal of enjoyment out of life, and treats life like a big party
-Very good memory for details
-Extremely observant - the most observant
-Extremely generous
-Like and accept almost everyone

Potential Weaknesses
-General acceptance of everyone may make them poor judges of character
-Tend to be materialistic
-Cannot see the big picture in most situations
-Tends to be thrill-seekers
-May be overly loud and boisterous
-Very impulsive
-Does not have the ability to use his intuition at all, or extrapolate anything from one situation into another
-Frequently does not follow through on tasks or plans

-Lives in the present moment, and have difficulty foreseeing the consequences to their actions

Michael has ESP.
"ESP children require explicit instructions when performing a task. They need to have the expectations for the task clearly defined before they can understand what they are supposed to do. Loosely defined assignments, where the outcome is unclear or extremely individualized, will not sit well with the ESP, and they will not perform these kinds of tasks well unless they get clear instructions on how to do them from some source. ESPs learn best with lots of hands-on experience. When shown how to do something, they are usually able to pick it up quite easily. Physically, ESPs are usually very coordinated and agile. They can learn new physical tasks with great speed and accuracy. ESPs have a short attention span. They are easily distracted by just about anything that occurs in their environment. They are also extremely social, and often get distracted talking and interacting with other children. An ESPs attention will be retained longer if they are allowed to interact with their environment while learning. They do well with team activities, or when allowed to work with other kids. ESP children have a tremendous amount of energy, and are very physically oriented. They can't sit still for more than a few minutes before they start to wiggle around and get very bored. Working with other kids may help combat this problem, or a teacher could try some alternative lesson plans that include combining physical activity with learning. An example of this might be reading a poem and acting it out at the same time. In general, ESP children need to have a lot of new mental and physical stimulation. They are extremely curious and observant, and seek new experiences constantly. They are extremely aware of their immediate environment, and cannot ignore that awareness. They learn best doing activities that combine the mental learning with their physical environment. Activities that do not include a strong physical, tangible, reality become boring very quickly to the ESP. ESP kids need to be constantly moving, and will have a hard time in situations where they are required to sit in one place for any length of time. Teachers and parents should be aware of these needs, and design activities that incorporate physical activity as much as possible. ESPs need to be busy in general. They get easily bored and need a lot of stimulation and new experiences to remain cheerful and to continue to grow. Because ESPs live so much in the present moment, it's important that they receive corrections immediately when a problem occurs. Waiting until later will seriously diminish the effect of the action. Any disciplinary or corrective action should be pointed and swiftly administered. By saying this, we are not referring to physical discipline, and in no way condone any kind of physical abuse of your children. For ESPs, actions speak louder than words. They learn best by example, and should be provided with models of behavior. They will pick something up best if they are shown how to do it, rather than told how to do it. If you want to teach them how to act in a certain situation, they will learn this best if you show them how to act with your own behavior. ESP children are great mimics, and are very likely to pick up on the behaviors of their parents and other important adults in their lives. ESP children routinely test their boundaries. These kids may be the sort to get themselves into trouble frequently. It's very important that clear boundaries be set for them. These boundaries should be very explicitly defined, and should be consistently reinforced. ESP children do not have good use of their Intuition at this age, so it's very important that rules are spelled out for them. If a rule has been made for a certain situation, they will probably not automatically apply that rule to a different similar situation. They require explicit instructions. ESPs are likely to have trouble remembering and following rules - even if they have been clearly defined. Adults should remind ESPs of the rules frequently, spelling them out in their entirety. Expectations for the ESP's behavior should be made explicit, and they will need to be reminded. Adults must be consistent in enforcing these rules."
