Smaug is a greedy dragon who likes others but dislikes sharing!
He is demanding but appreciative of what he receives, and also
can be rather friendly though is not the best at doing good deeds.
Smaug is very creative, and enjoys arts and crafts, and is rather
social although it is harder to make friends for Smaug as he doesn't
like to do much for his friends but maybe some chatting.
Being very brave, and protective Smaug barely allows anything to
slip. And being loud and talkative many will hear about your mistake
very soon.
Smaug is unpredictable, and can form protective loving bonds with
others, or suddenly hate you with all he's got.
Although when your trying to be one thing or the other, it is harder to
encourage your friendship or hint your disliking to Smaug as he makes
these decisions himself and it is hard for you to get the reaction you
wish from him unless he already wanted to do the same thing you wanted
him to do.
Romance is the last thing on Smaugs mind, which is a little strange as he
is in his late teen years.
Even if he does catch the hint you like him a romantic way he is skilled in
just not caring.
Smaug has the ability to be generous but he feels like he has little to no
reason to, he's managed so far hasn't he? Maybe one day he'll show a little
mercy and share something if he feels it is necessary for the fellow being's
health and survival.
Smaug is a rather confusing character because of his personality and
this might not surprise some because he is not simple minded either,
he is very intelligent and reads body language well too.
Self control is a plus in Smaug's personalities, he has very good self-control,
not that it doesn't stop him from allowing himself to lash out.

story: Father was sitting near the entrance of our cave, on the inside. Me, my siblings, and mother were further back, socializing in our cave home.
I peeked outside past my father from inside the cave, golden light from the sunrise, making me blink.
Multiple times I was told I was not allowed outside except for on special occasions, we lived in a dangerous area.
I still longed to go outside, all day long theories of how to make my way out ran through my mind, I love to imagine running on flat ground through the open air.
The solution was simple patience, soon enough my father was deep in the cave, taking care of lunch. I had eaten snacks and kept myself full throughout the day so I wouldn't, and didn't have to worry about food when the time came.
As soon as I was completely outside, I took off, running quickly to the right, so it would be hard to see me without stepping outside of the cave, and soon I reached a forest. The complete open wasn't as comfortable as expected, as I didn't spend lots of time there in the past, so the forest was much more comfortable as it felt a little more enclosed.
Distracted by the forest and the many new unfamiliar things I didn't hear anything coming until it was too late, I tried to run but there wasn't enough distance, a cruel sort of unbreakable string was thrown over my neck my a stick, which the human held in a front paw.
I whipped myself around to try and break the incredibly strong human's grip, but the human held strong. I attempted to breath out fire, which I did manage a wispy breath of it, that seemed to frighten the human a bit, but the leash contraption made breathing, especially fire breathing very difficult.
I was put into a metal cage I could not burn, so I did not try to hopelessly strain my already sore throat. I also wouldn't try to light the objects around me on fire with chance the whole place went up and I would die in my own flames.
My cage was inside a larger enclosure that seemed to be moving.
My suspicions that the larger enclosure was moving were conformed. My cage was removed and set beside another cage, which had a large dog inside.
In another attempt to escape, I shoved my fingers through my cage bars, pulling on the latch, which opened my door easily, I felt foolish for not doing that already.
Feeling the need to help the dog, a currently helpless creature with useless toes. I let it out, and we both ran.
We managed to navigate home, and somehow didn't get in trouble.
Being through enough with the dog, I thought a companion could be useful, I realized I might be unlikely to have a close companion of my own kinda in the future so I took him in as "Scraps."

"Scraps"

Scraps is a blue nosed American Pit Bull, he is very friendly and about six years old.
The dog isn't the best with other animals, as they were prey, enemies, etc. in his four years of wild like.
He isn't able to snuggle up with them but he is well behaved and can control himself at a distance.

Scraps is Smaug's adopted pet, and is probably the closest creature to Smaug that isn't blood related.
They both are very tough and adventurous,
Scraps is more adaptive to different situations, but Smaug is much more intelligent, being a dragon.

The whole family seems to accept Scraps but it is a known fact he is Smaug's dog, not a family pet.
Scraps will give some kisses and accept lots of pets from the other family member but he doesn't follow them around or seem in general to like them as much as he likes Smaug.

Scraps seems to have already known a few tricks such as sit as come, hinting that he had a home as a puppy, but he was very rusty and because of his condition the family guessed he was feral before he reached the age or two, whether abandoned, lost, or a runaway, he definitely seemed to have no intent on finding his past owners.
Smaug has taught Scrap a few more tricks, but nothing like roll over, shake, or other silly show tricks.
Scrap knows hold it and drop it, and as well as some practice with come, he has learned sit again but in a different way. It is sit stay, without the word stay, he is just expected to stay sitting until he is called off it.
Though no one has been able to catch an official word, different phrases, usually with the word "run" in them mean run like your fleeing the apocalypse.
Scrap gets very excited and though if Smaug isn't doing anything himself he'll run off, nearly out of sight in one direction, he'll head along the same path Smaug is using if Smaug runs too.

What is in Smaugs pouch?
Well that is a very good question, what would this dragon possible be keeping?!
First off I'd like to start by saying Smaug doesn't like accessories... if he is anthro you'd just find him wearing some simple clothes like a T-Shirt, Jeans, and sneakers to cover up. Because of this many things you'd expect to see on his body will be found in his pouch.p

• Wrist watch ~ again, Smaug doesn't really like accessories so usually he keep this in his pouch.
• Compass ~ The "shell" of Smaug's compass is made of real gold. It also has a chain so if he wanted to he could keep it around his neck.
• Gold Nuggets ~ He gets and hoard these when he can.
• A Diamond ~ Large, shiny, and super expensive.
• Money ~ Smaug really likes coins of all sorts but he still has some normal money.
• Gloves ~ Smaug rarely wears them but he has two gloves for his front paws, as well as two modified "gloves" for his paw feet. He can put them on for feet protection or knuckle protection for journeys and fights.
• Dagger ~ Smaug bought a small Dagger a while ago. It has a thick leather cover so it won't cut him when it is in his pouch.
• Washout Hair Dye ~ Smaug has really cheap hair dye, it is dark green. He was on ever used it once on his front left paw to see if it really washed out right away. He has it for emergency disguises, though his large, unique ears usually give himself away anyway it can still help a little bit, especially for camouflage.

Family Relationships

Father:
Though Smaug trusts his father, he doesn't like being held back in any way by a figure of authority.
I wouldn't want to assume anything, so instead I'll write several things to get a bit deeper into this.
If the owner of JBD #600 makes the father, carefree, forgiving, tolerant, etc. Smaug would like his father, being a bit protective of him when around others but taking advantage over the allowance.
If the father is more grumpy, rude, mean, abusive, etc. Smaug's personality would be modified to reflect this more, Smaug would quickly grow away from his father but likely still develop into a good mature adult away from his father.

Mother:
Smaug would be annoyed like almost any other teenage boy if his mother were to baby him, hold him back, etc.
If the mother were to be abusive, short-tempered, etc. Smaug would reflect that differently then he would with that kind of father, he would stand up to and challenge her, and if the situation were to not be handled right it could have a negative effect on his future.

Varien (JBD 601):
Smaug is not too fond of his brother, though he can relate to him. Smaug finds it easiest to interact and bond with Varien through common hate. "..Make fun of the deserving ones together..."

Rook (JBD 602):
Smaug is slightly annoyed by Rook's inability to adjust because he has trouble understanding. Smaug himself adjusts to light and dark and different situations too very easily but Smaug does take a bit of pity on Rook.
Rook is the only one of Smaug's siblings that has ever been allowed in Smaug's pouch, with all of his precious possessions, not that Smaug now trusts him or any other children in his family enough to let them in again.

JBD 603:
Smaug is very disrespectful to his older sibling, it may just be because he doesn't like being younger then them.
Their relationship wouldn't change much through his/her personality, though there is a small chance that if 603 was very pushy, kind, tolerant, etc. and shared common interests they could be close.

Alan (JBD 605):
Smaug like most others calls Alan Duff.
Smaug isn't very tolerant of his younger brother but he is very protective and if he is feeling up to it he will take the boy out on little walks or "adventures".

JBD 606:
Their relationship will be heavily based off 606's personality.
If the young one is adventerous, obedient, and respectful enough Smaug will have a great relationship with him/her and enjoy sharing some secrets with them.
If not Smaug will just kinda of ignore them in most situations.

Puffle (JBD 607):
Smaug has very little tolerance for Puffle, he despises the happy little furball.
Puffle has spooked Smaug before, though Smaug refuses to admit it and reacts harshly.
Smaug shares some of Puffle's climbing skills, and has gone after him in anger before.

History of Smaug

Why would you want to hear a story without an ending?
Smaug is very much alive, every day new events pass, every day more of his life is being written, but I guess if you want to know his past we can do that.

The best place to start?
Day one
I've been around the 600 beans a lot, and many forms refer to him as "different", "odd", etc. because of his four large ears.
Now let me tell you the truth, when this little guy hatched from dark grey egg, he had four ears, as always, two rather large, but such a strange family, who barely represented each other, took little notice of the difference, and didn't think of him based off his ears.

Going somewhere?
One Year Old
By one year of age Smaug could walk fine being a four legged animal.
He showed emotions, quit a bit and reacted to certain words, though he did not speak yet.

When things start to happen
Year Two
When Smaug turned two years old, he could already run around, playing chase and tag with his siblings and parents, understanding more language, and developing some of his own vocabulary.

What did you say?
Three birthdays past
Smaug can now talk a lot, he has a basic language base with some pronunciation issues.
He now knows some insults and gets into a few fights with his siblings now and then.

Lost your voice?
Four through five years old
Less social behavior as the young Smaug grows more independent leads to a near complete stop in his vocabulary progress. he spends a lot less time talking, listening, or hanging around his siblings.

Welcome back lil' guy!
Turning seven
When Smaug is six, through into his seventh year of life, he slowly starts to realize how much he needs and loves his family.
He doesn't share much of his own thoughts verbally but is a lot more willing to listen to and hang around his relatives.

Developing character
Eight, Nine, and Ten
Smaug's life is affected by new siblings that he has to learn to deal with, he grows away from some of them by taking of his confusion on them but is more accepting at times with certain, later ones.

Tween troubles
Eleven and Twelve years of life
What could be worse then a tween Smaug? It actually wasn't that bad.
His wonderful parents realized he was diving headfirst into two difficult years of life, and already being a bit of an antisocial rude problem payed extra attention to him.
Smaug really learned some more respect, and became much more approachable, friendly, and willing to share in these years.
Much more doesn't mean completely, but he was not very approachable or friendly at all so anything is progress.

Teenager
Thirteen and fourteen
Smaug is starting to mature, though he shows no expected romantic feelings toward either gender he is more mature, but seperating himself from his family again.
Though he isn't much for fights or anything through these years he shows little to no affection toward anyone through these years.

Fifteen
This is last year, yesterday's story
Smaug is about what you think of him today, maybe still on the bridge between fourteen year old Smaug present day Smaug.
He seems to be kinda normal, friendly citizen of JBDland ....with the added greedyness... and the accusing loud behavior...

His parents were very proud of Smaug for gaining good self control, though he might not be the "best character in the book", he is an important addition.

Name:

Sparrow - short, simple, yet unique. It seems to suit him for his 'tender' charaistics. As this name has no real meaning of it, it does form the meaning of "sparrow, a bird".

Gender:

Male - As much as I would of liked to piture Sparrow as a female, I can't picture him as one. But, if Sparrow was to be called a girl, he would be pretty offended by it and go weep in a corner.

Personality:

If you ever met Sparrow, you would barely think he was even there! Sparrow can be one of the quitest beans when it comes to socialising, pretty much like a nervous wreck. His ablility to speak up would be impossible to grab attention. Being quite timid can be a big effect on Sparrow as he doesn't show any lack of courage or confidence, making him easily scared around large crowds. As you might of guessed it, Sparrow can be overlly shy when meetingnew beans. He does tend to stutter and is easly distracted when talking. The ony time Sparrow is 'not-so-weak', is when he is annoyed with the teasment from his brothers and sisters about his ears. He doesn't like the fact that they playfully pull on them to get his attention. But, if other beans judge and compare ear difference... he does get nervous and quiet, while trying to laugh it out from his embarrasment. Overall, Sparrow can be a real sweetheart and very gentle considerate of others around him through his unselfish and discreet ways.

I had always been in love with this song for years now, ever since it came out. Made by an Australian artist and musician, I knew it had been the right song that lender towards Sparrow and his characteristics.

Fears and Quirks/Habbits:

Fears
Fears is something that has always been apart of his life, ever since he was born. Sparrow is it the most 'bravest' thin when it comes to facing them, and they usually tend to affect the ways he sees things from these. He tends to fear most things, but some in particular that just lift a little bit higher then the rest. Sadly, after being names after a bird, Sparrow has a large fear of birds and it is something no normal bean is so scared of. Birds seem to frighten the living daylights of him, which know to be called Ornithophobia. Yes, that is a real phobia. Also, you might have noticed already that Sparrow has developed the phobia of Phonophobia, the fear of loud noises. Since his ears are very sensitive, he jumps at any loud sound and hides somewhere compacted and quiet. It takes awhile for him to come out, but it is a fear that is most common around him. One more small fear that should be mentioned is that he does have a tiny fear of illness and getting sick, called Hypochondria, as you will usually finding him cleaning himself regularly everyday.

Quirks
Sparrow does do a few things anyone normal bean wounldn't do. From a 'bat cultured' family, he is pround of the different ways his family may be. Sucking juice out of fruit is one thing that ruins in the family. Instead of eating it, he likes to since his teeth into any fruit he can find and sip up the delicious flavous, and as much as he can drink. Sparrow sorta refers this t=like drinking out of a fruit box. Another thing Sparrow does is that his ears seem to twitch when somthing's wrong or going to be a diaster. It doesn't happen on a regularly, but you can surely tell whe something's about to happen when Spartow's ears stands up straight and starts jittering.

Relationship with Family:

Father
The biggest bean of the family, he is kinda refered to big bear - a real 'toughy' on the outside but is also a soft, cuddly bear on the outside. even though he may be frightening at first, we all love him for who he is. Our father is the proctector of all of us, having a big heart to care for our needs and safety. Every night, we gather round to listen to his stories, inspiring us to follow our souls.

Oldest Sibling
She may be the oldest, but she has strong spirit full of fun and laughter. The reltionhip between us is very awkward, since we both are the complete oppisite from each other; but we still get along well. She loves to mess around with all of us, espcially with father as he always tells her to be mature and responsible with herself. Excitable as she is, she is one of the family members that loves playin with my ears - pulling hiding behind them. Basically anything she finds amusing will carry her interest.

Older Silbing
Again, we don't share a strong relationship between us. It's pretty much silence between us as we only exchange a few glances and nods... maybe a couple of words. He seems to be a bit 'distant' form the family as he lkes to be alone. He still loves his family, but sometime he can be very sly and quiet. He has a great interest for music, which bothers me as I can hear the beat from his headphones all the time.

Younger Sibling
He is one of the few energentic beans that run in the family. His outgoing personality has caused him to have endless energy. Though, he can be a little bit clumsy, causing him to trip over tails or fall over tiny rocks. Father is always worried about his 'tripping', even I can get worried about it. He also has a thing for his hair, hating it when it gets messy or someone bothers with it. He sure is alot to handle.

Younger Sibling
I get along with this bean a bit better than the others. He is a day-dreamer, always looking for he best things in life to look forward to. His dream of flying is something laugh about in the family, but I think it's rather cool to see such a samll bean dream so big. His ways of being a little shy only bother him a bit, but he can turn out to be a real sweetheart in the end.

Youngest Sibling
He's quite the unique brother. His personality is always mixed with different emotions, but he's still great to get along with. Sleeping is one thing he just loves to do, especially on father's back. Sleeping in the darkest parts of the cave is the best places you can find him, even when playing 'hide and seek'.

Youngest of Them All
If I ever told you about a bean like him, you would think I was crazy. He is one of the hyperest of hyper I could possibly find in a bean. He is just a big, huge ball of energy; laughing at everything, bouncing from wall-to-wall, even hanging upside down from everything he can possibly grab onto. Sometimes I even wonder how he can hang upside-down for such long periods of times. His crazy personality has caused him to become so energetic that he often squeals and is running around the cave. His fuzzy fur is not what you would call normal - as he has occured some sort of eletric 'zap', testing it out on beans. It usually frightens me with such a big shock, also seeming to scare me quite a few times too. He worries the whole family, but everyone still loves him for who he is.


↖↖ ｓｔｏｒｙ \ ｈｉｓｔｏｒｙ

Faint noises filled my ears with soft mumbles and humming of soothing words that formed a lullaby. My eyes opened slowly to find dark figures crouched close beside me, filling in a bright light that glowed behind… almost looking like a dark sun, as I remember. It took a few good blinks to focus on the new world that I had been brought to, only realizing that this new world is something that awaits my new adventures and memories that will forever be in my heart. A soft, gentle voice interrupted my thinking. “Oh my love, he is beautiful,” the loving voice told him as it continued, “…just as beautiful as the rest of the family.” My eyes seemed to have cleared up with more focus. With curiosity and interest, I looked up and ended up staring back at another creature’s huge eyes. The larger creature laughs softly and licked the top of my head. Another figure came into focus as it bent its head down slightly to nuzzle the side of my upper body. “Just as gorgeous as his mother”, the creature laughed, giving the other one a lick, then putting it’s attention back down at me. I had come to realize that these were my parents, something that I would treasure forever. “Try and stand up, little one,” my father gestured as his head nodded up in a way to help me. I obeyed him, and attempted to stand up. My weak legs unfolded out from the comfortable position I was in as I lifted my body up.

Past the few minutes of stumbling and falling around, I had managed to stand on my own four legs and in no time, I was beginning to slowly pad around. My mother and father both smiled at me with wide grins as I walked around the small area. Suddenly without warning, I had not notice a small bump poking out of the ground and accidentally tripped, causing me to fall on the ground. I had heard my parents gasp. Wait, I heard theme gasp? Both of them padded quickly to me as my father lifted me up from the ground… but it was pitch-black. Why was it suddenly all dark?, I thought. That was when I realized something else had come along when I was born.

I remember getting put firmly on the ground as my new pair of ears had flopped in front of my eyes. They fell down for quite awhile when I was younger. When my other brothers and sister’s were born, they had come to realize that I was a little bit different from them. My ears where the biggest out of the whole family… but they didn’t seem to mind. Usually the younger ones like to playfully pull on them, just to tease me to get me in a game of ‘Tag the Bat’ or ‘Strongest bean’ or even the game ‘Longest to hang’. I had grown quite nervous about my ears, as I was very quiet about things. But I loved my family, and they didn’t care if I was a little different because they loved me no matter what.
