INCENDIE TAMISE, THE SUBDUED FLAME
|Candle on the hearth-Bring me warmth and light-Remember me when I am dying-As I remember you as your wax runs low|
USERNAME: The only and only
Keplyn, at your service!
I love this species, and have been trying to get one for, oh, I don't know... Nine months now, I believe. Nine months since I started trying out, and I'm still hopeful!
Proud member on the Fanclub, I don't post as often, but I do frequent the chat room all the time.
Sweet as flames
As rigid as the sky
Sweet little child
I’ll sing a lullaby
Rock you to sleep
Humming a song
Remember my face
Whenever I am gone
---
Quasi parturiens dolebunt: O
Sicut in caelo, asperrimos
Curabitur infans,
Ego autem cantabo a lullaby
Petram dormire
Fremunt canticum
Memento faciem meam
Cum ego egrederer
NAME: Incendie
Amise.
Translated from
Latin, it means '
Subdued
Flame'.
She usually goes by Tami, or Flame. Among her small group of friends, she also can be known as 'Cello'
PERSONALITY: Flame is always eager to learn, eager to teach, and eager to show others what
she knows. Always attentive, and always listening, Flame is an excellent pupil, and an excellent friend. However, be cautious, for if she thinks that she is superior in any way, this little bean becomes a smug little genius. Flame is arrogant, and loves to show off, despite her angelic outward personality.
When she is among those she considers her equals, Flame is completely at ease, and very pleasant. To those few individuals, she is reverent and actually heedful of what they had to say.
RELATIONSHIP WITH FAMILY: Flame has always been very attached to her family, and feels she can trust them entirely.
Her parents are, of course, her parents, she loves them both dearly.
Around them, she feels that she doesn't need to put on a front, and flaunt her intelligence, because, well, they love her no matter how many phrases in
Latin she can recite.
Flame can be a child in the presence of her parents, not
Flame the
Brain, or
Flame the professor, just...
Flame.
Or, as her parents more often call her,
Tami.
So,
I would say that little
Tami has a beautiful relationship with her family.
Emery and
Strudel don't lie to their daughter, and in turn, she doesn't lie to them.
There are no secrets, no "
Wait until you're older, dear"'s, just straightforward, honest conversations.
It's a healthy family, and they love each other very much.
ART MUSEUM: As a part of our exhibit today, you will find the art on display, scattered among the entire set up, so
I hope you
enjoy it as you walk through. As a general guide, however, the art being considered is always italicized, to make it easier to spot. Anything not immediately recognizable as English is in Latin, and it will be near an English version of the same piece.
LIKES:✶ Cello music.
In general.
Flame has never tried playing one herself, being sadly quadrupedal, but she could sit and listen to cello music all day.
Sometimes, in fact, she does.
If she were a cello, she'd look like this:
✶ Latin.
To
Flame,
Latin is a beautiful language, and, although considered dead, she use's it as often as
English
✶ Fire.
A substance that cannot be truly explained, but can be enjoyed and celebrated for its warmth and light.
✶ Proper grammar and speaking.
Flame considers herself very well spoken, and tries to be correct in her speaking, despite her young age.
✶ Knowledge.
In her mind, to learn is to understand, and to understand is to be in control.
Plus, she enjoys learning, because it takes away boredom, and adds an element of superiority when she speaks to other beans and knows more than they do.
✶ Flame wrote:Keplyn outlined them very well, but she forgot one very important thing that I like: I like talking. It often makes me seem loquacious, but to be completely honest, I talk to show everyone who I truly am. When older beans first see me, they think, "Oh, she's just a child, she doesn't understand the world" and act upon that. So, instead of letting them undermine my intelligence with baby talk, or "You're too young"'s, I begin to speak. I talk of world matters, and quote famous poets and writings, I question their opinion on Liszt, and ask whether they prefer Chopin or Tchaikovsky (I honestly prefer Tchaikovsky). Talking makes me feel like my knowledge won't go to waste.
DISLIKES:✶ Being treated as a child.
If
Flame feels as if her intelligence is being unappreciated, well...
She loves to lecture, and she'll likely talk your ear off, and try to make you change your mind about how smart she is.
✶ Tacos.
Apparently, she loathes the things...
Flame wrote:Those things are NOT what everyone makes them out to be! Nasty, nasty, no matter how many times I try them...
✶ Ignorant beans.
They disgust her, judging things that they don't understand.
O praeclarum cello
aurei fulua
Nitens
Sed non est micans
Argentum tangite
perfecte jubilantionibus
abyssus
sonabilis
clamare e ad alterum saeculum
Omni petenti te ferire eos
Aut trahunt super in arcum placidam cepisse quietem eorum
dives tonis
Socolate et melle
Holoserica, tamen rubigo
Speciosa, et tamen aspera
Sonitus, qui miscet
At quod non possit esse ipsius Sonitus
Ullus Sonus potest quod similis cello
quod est
O praeclarum cello
An excellent Cello
Golden-tawny
Shining
But not shiny
Silver strings
Perfectly tuned
Deep
Resonant
Calling out to another world
Every time you pluck them
Or drag the bow over their peaceful rest
Rich tones
Chocolate and honey
Velvet, yet rust
Beautiful, yet rough
A sound that blends
A sound that can never be anything but itself
Any Cello that can sound like that
That is
An excellent Cello
Full body lying down art of Flame done by me. All poems written by me.
Sitting up art done by Dave Egbert. ^.^
I do not own the art of the cello, that credit goes to its original owner.
