Short Story
Fiyero and Raiden had been friends since they were kits. The two were always running off and getting into trouble. One day the duo was laying boredly in the grass looking up at the clouds as they drifted by. Fiyero turned his head a bright light caught his eye as it gleamed on the mountain side. "What's that?" Fiyero asked aloud as he nudged Raiden with his paw. Raiden turned his head and his red eyes searched the distant landscape until they eventually caught sight of the gleam in the distance. "I don't know" Raiden replied with a yawn. Fiyero let out a huff and jumped to his paws. "Well lets go see!" he said excitedly and nipped at Raiden. Raiden groaned before finally standing up. "Race ya there!" Fiyero said and started sprinting towards the mountainside. Raiden rolled his eyes but followed behind his friend "Hey no fair! Wait up!" Raiden whined. Fiyero looked back at his friend and smiled but kept running. Fiyero skidded to a halt once he reached the mountainside, Raiden right behind him. The firey blue sima looked across the mountainside for an easy way up, until Raiden skidded to a halt and collided right into him. The two tumbled to the ground a mess of fur, tails, and legs. "Watch where you're going!" Fiyero grumbled and wiggled out from under Raiden. Fiyero shook his head and began to scale the mountaintop. "Come on" he said looking down at Raiden. Raiden eventually got to his paws and followed behind Fiyero up the mountain. After what seemed like forever the two finally reached the area where the gleam had come from. "What now?" Raiden asked looking around. "We look for it" Fiyero replied simply and stuck his nose to the ground and walked around sniffing and looking around. The two searched for a good five minutes before Fiyero's nose finally bumped into something. The object had that same shiny gleam to it as before. "Hey I think I found it!" Fiyero said excitedly his tail swaying behind him. Raiden ran over and stood beside his friend looking at the object. "What is it?" Raiden asked. "I don't know.." Fiyero replied and gently stuck his paw out. The object followed his paw around as he pulled on it. "Is that one of those necklace things that some of the other simas where?" Raiden suggested eyeing the object. On Raiden's suggestion Fiyero realized it was a claw necklace. Gently he pulled it on over his head and the object hung loosely around his neck. "Well that was fun" Fiyero replied with a smile looking back at his friend. "What next?" Raiden asked with a playful grin.
