Hey there pretty girl. Name’s Kai. It means "sea" in Hawaiian. True, I don't live in Hawaii, but it's still in my name. As you probably already know, I was named for my coat. The vivid shades of blue, like a sea. And, I don't mean to brag, but the orange make the blue all worth it. Some call me a "pretty boy," but I'm glad I was born like a sunset on the Caribbean. If you need to know anything else, I'm straight, I'm a Pisces, I'm a guy, and most importantly, I like food. I believe that would be all for now.

Hometown? I live on an island in the Caribbean! It's a cool place, really... The ocean so blue, and the sun so bright. Any kia who's never been there would say it's paradise! And, honestly, it is. I love living in this heaven! And my house... Well I'd say it's a simple beach house, just to be humble... But it's not that simple! It's a nice house; made of wood and stone. A lot of the floor apace is actually made of mosaics! Don't tell anyone, but I did a few of the mosaics myself... It's a pretty fair-sized house too! Location is wonderful as well. Stationed nicely on a hill, semi-surrounded my a thin jungle! A lot of times my mother will come and stay for a few days. And, to be honest, it's much more than a house. It's a real home.

I don't know if I can tell you my secrets yet... They're pretty personal! Ugh... Fine, I guess... What do I have to loose anyway? I'm afraid of the Ocean! There! Happy now, princess!? Did I tell you I can snap when I get annoyed? Well, I can. Now that you know, could you back off? Or will you keep bugging me? Oh, no you'll keep questioning me, of course... Well, I'm afraid of the ocean for a lot of reasons. One of them being that there could be stuff in there. Stuff that could attack and kill me! Drown me, eat, tear me to shreds and bite my limbs off... Like sharks... Yeah, it's a pretty long story... I'll tell you about that later. Now, I've got another secret. If you're willing to keep it. I kind of love art. But I have to love it in secret! Everyone's always calling me "pretty boy" already! They don't need to know that I make things pretty, too. Plus, art isn't really what any of the kias here do. They surf, but I can't do that because I'm afraid of the ocean! Sometimes I feel like I can't really do anything....

Well I guess I'm willing to tell you my history now... Heck, I've already told you my damn deepest secrets! When I was younger, I had a lot of other guy friends who liked to try to surf and swim. I never did, though, as my mother was very protective. But, when I was about one and a half, she finally let me go out! I decided to go out with some friends down at the beach. There were some young girls there and, being the kids we were, we decided to try to impress them. So, of course, we swam out pretty far. Now, this was the first time being in the ocean without my mother! And I didn't like it at all! It just seemed so deep and dark; like I could sink forever if I didn't swim right! But my friends seemed jut fine. It was a grey-skied day. Clouds blotting out the sun with their thick greyness. We stayed in the water, our arms crossed on our surf boards and our legs kicking in the water. We stayed like that and chatted, occasionally looking over at the girls on the beach, as we waited for a wave. But... There were none... We tried swimming around; that was a big mistake. With my nervousness, I tried to impress them, and swam ahead of them, following the coast line. Before I knew it, I was being swept away from sure at what seemed like a mile a minute! No waves, no nothing! Just the speeding water pulling my away from my friends and away from the shore! I know now what that swift terror is called; a Rip Current. Before I knew it, the rain started coming down. I wasn't terrified. Not at all. I was mortified. I couldn't even move! I was lost in the ocean, in the pouring rain! I cried and cried for what seemed like forever! And then... And then it got worse. The Rip Current seemed to disappear. I wasn't in the swift-moving stream any more. I was in the water of the vacant ocean. And then it got worse! I felt something nudge my tail. I held my surfboard as tight as I could! It was... It was all I had left. By now, I knew I was going to die. With tears in my eyes, I looked down. The water was violently rippling and splashing rom the harsh, cold rain. But, through the splashes and ripples, I could see a shadow. I was too scared to scream. I just lifted my entire body onto the surf board, and hoped help would come. Soon enough, there was a current. It pushed me towards the shore. But it was just too slow! The shadow drew closer to the surface. I just closed my eyes, clung to the board, and hoped I survived... When I opened my eyes, I was inches from the shore. My friends called it "awesome surfing" believe it or not! I looked at them like they were crazy! But... I guess from their perspective it might look like that. I hid my fear and agreed with them. I lied to them. I told them I'd purposefully swam out that far. And now I'm living with these secrets...
My mom decided that, until I'm two, I have to stay inside. I picked up a love for art in the half of a year I was locked inside. Eventually people forgot about my "surfing" and acted as usual. I tried to act as usual as well. And, whenever my mom let me go out, I would try to hang out with my friends. Sometimes I'd draw a girl's attention. Eventually I picked up the nick name "pretty boy." I was okay when my good friends called me that, but when others did... It wasn't right! Some of my enemies, including one mean, sassy girl, started calling me it. Teasingly. Back at home, my mom called me Kai. But, she called my art "pretty." And, from there I knew I'd have to hide my love for art.

Just those little things! Finally we can get out of the deep waters! Well, my likes would include of food, of course. I also like art, especially mosaics and painting. And... I like sunsets. Okay? I admit, sometimes I will go out and watch the sunset over the sea. And charming girls is also my thing! My dislikes would include, of course, of the ocean. That would mean I don't like surfing or swimming. Although, smaller bodies of water are okay. I also hate it when kias that I don't like, or maybe don't even know, call me "Pretty Boy!" It's only okay when my friends call me that! A few of my quirks are, well, quite obviously my fear of the ocean and love of art. I also... Well, flip my hair sometimes. Hey, it almost always impresses all the ladies.
