Hello there, my name Is L O K I, Captain Cj on the Fan Forum. You may have seen me around before as I try to be as active as possible In the Kiamara community. I am currently the proud owner of Pilot (#134), and recently have generously been gifted Jax (#239)! I hope to add this gorgeous girl to my twosome!
name ;;
I have chosen to name this girl Tora. I came across this name while looking at names meaning Tiger, and thought it fitted her perfectly. It flows nicely and suits her appearance as well, as like I said before,Tora means "Tiger" in Japanese.
This story is under 600 words.
Rage bubbled inside Tora as she ran through the forest. Her running was aimless. She had no idea where she was, but it didn’t matter. As long as it was away from her mother, she didn’t care.
Running from her mother after a fight was something she did often, but this time was different.
She had asked her mother again about her feathers.
“All the other Kia’s my age have them!” she had whined, but her mother replied with but a shake of her head. “We have talked about this before Tora, no”.
“But why?!” Tora had asked, frustrated. “They wouldn’t have to be special or anything, any would do!”.
“No.” her mother had said simply, indicating the end of the conversation. But Tora wasn’t giving up.
“Why mother, why? You never tell me! Father would have given them to me...”.
At this, her mother snapped. “You want to know why Tora?! You really want to know why!?”. Tora backed down, tears clouding her eyes.
“Mother, I’m so-“.
“No!” she said, cutting Tora off, “I’ll tell you why! You’re too immature! Too naive! While the other Kia’s your age are building a life for themselves you’re idly prancing in the forest playing silly games like a child! Your father didn’t deserve the honour of his feathers and neither do you!”.
Tora was stunned. Her mother could be brutal, but never was she like this.
“Is that right” Tora said, trying to hold back the tears.
“Well in that case, I’ll relive you of you burden” Tora snapped bitterly.
And now as she ran, her rage burned out and was replaced by cold, wretched, sorrow. She started to cry and her vision blurred. Tripping on a stick she fell hard into the dirt, scraping her sides. Instead of getting back up she just lay there in a pitiful heap, hoping that she would fall asleep and never wake up. She couldn’t understand why her mother had said those nasty things. Maybe she was right; maybe she was too childish.
As the Kiamara lay there, she thought about what her father would do. “He would not do this” she said, raising her head from the ground. “He would get back up, dust himself off and keep on going with life!” she said enthusiastically. “But I’m not father” she said sadly, resting her head down and closing her eyes. After some time, she opened her eyes to find that she was being watched. A white and grey striped bird stood not far from Tora, cocking its head to the side in confusion.
“Oh hey” Tora said flatly. “Don’t mind me, just mourning over the fact I have no feathers”. The bird jumped forward, coming right up to her nose, and then turned around, ruffling its feathers. Tora frowned, not knowing what it was doing, and then she realised. It wanted her to take one its feathers. “Are you sure?” she said, not really knowing if the bird understood her. The bird turned its head and came closer. “Alright!” she said excitedly, giggling as she wiped the tears from her eyes. She leant over and carefully pulled out one of its feathers with her teeth. The bird winced at the pain, but seemed not to mind. Standing up she dropped the feather into her paw. She stared at it in awe, and then looked up at the bird with a wide grin on her face.
“THANK YOU!” she exclaimed, running off to find a piece of string to tie the feather on her tail.
Tora never did go back to her mother.

- This interview is under 300 words.
- Morning Tora, how are you?
Tremendously well! Actually, I’m super-dooper-immensely-tootly-bobbity well! And yourself?
I'm well!
Well? Not super-dooper-immensely-tootly-bobbity well?
*Chuckles* So Tora, tell me about yourself!
*Laughs* Gosh, why waste your time! I’m nothing but a girl who craves exploration!
Exploration? Where have you explored?
I’ve been all over, from Zimbabwe to Azerbaijan to Puerto Rico!
Sounds exotic! Where do you love most?
Wow - tough question! All have something super-dooper-immensely-tootly-bobbity swell about them!
Of course! Do you travel alone?
travel with my friend Von! He’s good as he doesn’t need to pay for his flights!
Is Von a pilot?
Don’t be ridiculous! How could a pilot swoop a couple of Aussies in the middle of the outback?
He swoops people!?!?!?!?
Come on! Birds swoop all the time!
Von’s a bird!?
Yeah, who did you think he was? The Prime Minister of Peru?
Okay… So how did you meet Von?
Von’s such a darling! He gave me a precious gift, right in a time of need!
He gave you a gift? Riiight, I suppose he talks then?
Don’t be silly, birds can’t talk! People these days… next we’ll be trying to fly to Mars…
Err, we are trying to fly to Mars…
Oh really. That’s just perfect, and look, over there a flying pig!
Where?
*Face palms*
Okay, let’s talk about… your past?
Errm, it’s not a particularly delightful subject.
Oh come on, let’s hear it!
*Bites lip* I’d rather not… so, Flying pigs? Moving to Mars?
Your past Tora, come on it can’t be that bad!
Um, look I have to fly out tomorrow so I should be going now! Have a super-dooper-immensely-
tootly-bobbity day!
Tora?
Adios Amigo! *strolls out the door*
