Misa's boa was a gift from a long ago friend, Hakko, who had gone missing from the life of Misa. Misa cherishes the boa as for it is the only link back to the time she shared with her colorful friend.

Paola once did a heroic action,

But from that action she was going to
be presented with a medal but she refused
to accept it. She commented that she
wouldn't be seen dead in it so instead
someone rushed off to the fanciest
store in town and discovered the boa.
That she accepted with great glee and
her attitude switched suddenly.

strode out with her boa, a signal of her
heroism. And a reminder that if she didn't
