silky or poof?
i see this adorable
lil' boy as a silky.
extra
beneath the velvet blanket a pale pink nose appeared. it
twitched once, twice and then sneezed. the owner of said
nose bolted upright with a huff, as though offended by the
noise. one too-large paw lifted to paw at it's muzzle for a
moment before the pup decided he had scared off the cause
of the noise ; unaware that it was he himself who had made it.
the handsome blue merle pup yawned quietly before he shook
out his coat and trotted out onto the cold floorboards with
keen interest. ears flicking and nose twitching he wandered
about on his own for a moment, trying to place where on earth
his littermates were hiding when it hit home again.
they were gone.
sold off to their homes while he was left here all alone. his
mother was gone too, to some fancy show somewhere far
away. walking sullenly back to his bed he collapsed down
with a sigh. for the first times in his short life he was
completely alone, and it was quite crushing. resting his
nose of the large, fluffy teddy-dog the boy had left him
after his last sister was sold. looking across at the door
with hope the children would come in and fuss over him,
he huffed again when they didn't come rushing in and
settled down to sleep.
"he's just in here -" the woman's voice disturbed
him from his sleep, and he blinked himself awake as
the door opened. the woman stood back, letting a
younger woman enter the room. maybe she'd fuss
about him. she did. getting down on her hands and
knees she scratched his sweet spot behind his left
ear and called him a good boy. his breeder
returned, and as the new girl stood up to speak to
her he sat on her foot, determined to make her
play with him again. money exchanged hands and
before long the little blue pup found himself in
the passenger seat on the new girl's car on the
way to his new home. "merle," she said
out of the blue. "'m gonna call you merle."
