Favorite academic thing: [perfectly 200] Dauntra's favorite academic activity would be English class. She has an exceptionally good teacher this year and really enjoys his class. They read lots of good books that are interesting, and at a pace that she can keep up with. Although not an avid reader, Dauntra does enjoy a good fantasy. All of the tests are open book, open note, but unlike others she doesn’t think that this means there is less learning going on. She has found that her learning actually increases because she isn’t cramming or panicking. Her class is reading about Romeo and Juliet and is acting out the characters’ parts in class. Yesterday she got to play Paris and had a sword fight with Romeo. She died tragically and made many woe-full sounds. Those weren’t giggles. For the written assignments the class is given six different topics to choose from. Three of them are narrative writing and three are argumentive so there is the perfect topic for everyone. Since their class is first block they even get their teacher’s TA’s extra breakfast pastries! Dauntra also takes part in civil discourse. Unlike a debate, everyone listens to everyone else’s opinion. A purposeful activist, she is always heard.

Dauntra is a very futuristic-thinking bean. She believes that it is only right to support the causes that you believe in. Even one person can make a difference, no matter how small they may be or how small a difference they make. She can often be seen at school board meetings talking about making lunches less expensive and healthier. She partakes in the making of surveys at her school so that she can get grade-wide opinions and petitions to help with her many forward causes such as school lunch, the dress code, and solar power. Already her school has switched to wood chip heating. A rather unfortunate habit is that she also enjoys participating in rallies and die-ins, which brings about a whole lot of paperwork for everyone. She also has a rather short fuse when it comes to discriminatory people. One minute she’s sunny smiles, and the next she’s an oncoming storm. A bright point is that it helps her English grade though! All of those characteristic faces earn her big points!
In her other free time Dauntra likes drawing. She has a fascination with hands especially. She likes all types, young and old, but it’s something about the joints that she really enjoys. Human hands are only slightly different from her paws, but are hairless and wrinkle easily. She also enjoys volunteering in her local elderly community and gets many wrinkled hand models, just to her liking. She usually brings her older friends little sweets to nibble on, but rarely cooks or bakes herself.
She only cooks when she is sick, you see. A strange, tiny, bit germy quirk that she loves. When she is home sick she can’t get anything done after makeup work and feels like she hasn’t accomplished anything in the entire day except watching The Emperor’s New Groove 1 and 2 she starts baking. Her mother is gluten free so she uses almond flour and whips up a mix of muffins. She is especially fond of muffins when she is sick and adds any and all fruit in the house into her mix. She isn’t allergic to nuts but doesn’t like them very much so she always takes them out of the recipe.
And cooking just isn’t right without music! Dauntra goes through artist fazes. She decides that she likes one artist for about a month or four and only listens to one or two albums by them over and over and over again! This last summer she listened to only the Unbroken album by Demi Lovato. Now she has been on a Parachute track for about three weeks. She also enjoys listening to movie soundtracks and can sing every song in Anastasia and Tangled and loves evil villain songs. She likes to pretend sometimes that she is an evil villainess and pets her cat in that slow, finger-y way that evil people have. To add to the effect she scowls into the distance like she has been thwarted of her destiny. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious- Dauntra.
