How she got her scars:
Krista always had a passion for water, she enjoyed sitting by streams and listening to their soft bubbling as the water went right by her. She loved the loud roars of waterfalls, and admiring their beauty and the mist that usually surrounded the base. She also enjoyed lakes, as many waterfowl would honk and make all different kinds of sounds, and the soft splishes that fish would make. As she was trekking to her usually spot, alone as she preferred considering she felt company wouldn't make it as calm as she liked. The sun shone on her cherry bay coat and she wondered if she should go to the waterfall on a day like this instead of the stream, quickly she made a sharp turn onto a path she doesn't often go on because of the sheer drops it has. Krista secretly fears high heights, and avoids direct and steep paths and places as much as possible, but if she is with company she'll act like its nothing. Her tail swayed back and forth as she followed up the rocky path.
As she neared the top, she could hear weak cries and saw a duck on an old fallen tree that had been stuck on the top of the waterfall for a few days. She perked her ears, curious to see why the duck wasn't moving, but she realized that its wing must be broken or such. She trotted over, not being careful by the slippery parts and hopped onto the tree branch. The duck turns out didn't have a hurt wing, but its foot was stuck in the tree, she hurriedly tried to break the duck out of its prison knowing the tree wouldn't last much longer. Most of the branches were already broken anyway and her extra weight sure didn't help. After a few tries she eventually freed the duck who flapped away as fast a possible, the tree fell and Krista was almost crushed under it as she fell down the falls. She had hit her nose hard against the branch as it suddenly bumped and she slipped, her nose was bleeding. She tried to figure out how to stop herself from hitting the water, but realized there was no way. She reached the bottom and slashed her shoulder on the rocks as she tumbled from the current. Eventually she weakly broke free from it and collapsed by the shore.
