Domestic or Wild and why? Domesticated and helps teach others how to interact with WMEs. Chevy was found abandoned as a foal in a farmer's field and raised by a family who works with therapy horses. The family noticed how docile he was around children and decided to use his sweet nature to aid others in learning about the rare species. He prides himself in being able to tolerate almost anything that the young children do to him. He loves how they bring him little bits of apple and scratch him gently in all the right spots. He is a forerunner for his kind and well-known because of all the positive attention he brings to the WMEs.

Wild. Nanook was born on a day when a bear attacked his herd and killed his mother. He promised to his mother that he would one day defend the herd against the bear if it ever came back. He escaped captivity for years, set on keeping his promise, and one day he did! He defeated a bear and from that moment on decided that he would protect all WMEs from any threat in the mountains, and so he roams the mountains seen as a guardian by all.

Domestic or Wild and why? Skip is wild, he has a bold wild heart that can't be tamed. Why? You ask, because he can't stand the feeling of being trapped. Every time he is caught, he'll give a warning snort, before dancing.away. His pelt is littered with scars, but as he says, they add character to the fur. Skip cannot even stand to be in the same place longer than needed. He's always shifting his weight or trotting in circles. To be owned would cut off that freedom; the pure bliss of being able to travel absolutely anywhere. Birds have wings, they travel far, Skip has hooves, who says he can't go further? Skip can't be tamed, he won't be tamed, and if ya want to try, good luck.

Domestic or Wild and why? Wild. He enjoys being free and smelling the fresh air and running through the wide open fields and the mountains. He loves prancing through streams and rushing past lovely scented pine trees. He likes the freedom of doing what he wants and not being truly involved in humans. He doesn't like how they've contaminated parts of his free space and their tiny living quarters.

Domestic or Wild and why? Magnus is 100% wild without a doubt. He has seen humans before but the thought of one of those 'two-leggeds'touching him disgusts him immensely. His opinion on how humans look aren't very nice either, he believes anything walking on less than four legs is unnatural.He believes that all humans just want to capture and corral him in a small fenced pen near where they live. Magnus just loves his freedom and the lack of rules- he needs to follow no one's direction, and that's the way he likes to live his life. Magnus has been feral from the day he was born, and will be till the day he dies.

Domestic or Wild and why? Although Jiv was born a wild colt, he is truly a domesticated equid. Unlike the more bolder and free-spirited brutes who call the mountaintops their home, Jiv prefers the setting of long open pastures, yet safe, and the endless super of sugar cubes provided by humans.

Domestic or Wild and why? Domesticated- he was born and bred on a ranch that specialized in miniature horses. The owner began to branch out into WME's, and Zoot is the result of a few generations of strict breeding! He's a big softie and has no fear of humans, and would rather spend his time getting groomed and having his tail braided than fight a puma and travel for days to find a source of water!
