S t o r y :

Hi there! I'm Icing and I'm going to tell you a story about how I came to love Carrot Cake. One day when I was just a young Kia, I was king of shy. I wouldn't go up to talk to any of the Kia's and I certainly wouldn't leave my momma's side. My papa wanted me to be more outgoing and he would try to force me to go play with the others by locking me out of the house. I would cry and huddle near the door until my mama took pity on me and let me in. My life was like that for quite some time when one day I spelled this amazing aroma coming from one of my neighbor's houses. I could taste the carrots, cinnamon, and walnuts. My momma saw how I reacted to this and suddenly came up with, what she would call, a brilliant plan. She ran over to the neighbor's house and asked her what she was cooking up. My neighbor gave my momma the recipe for something called Carrot Cake. At first I was a little wary when I noticed the word Carrot in there, since I wasn't one for vegetables. I just thought of the wonderful smell and I simply couldn't resist telling momma to make it. Momma got me involved by helping her with the ingredients and icing the cake. e I was drooling. Once I tasted the soft layers I was hooked! I became more active in the community and now I often cook loads of scrumptious deserts! I put my heart and soul into every dish that I create. I brings me such joy when I see people marveling at my dishes. I love seeing the other kia's expression when they try my famous Carrot Cake! My papa brought me my carrot charm after seeing how much I loved Carrot Cake and how good I was at cooking. I don't know where I would be if Carrot Cake wasn't around. Thank goodness that someone invented it!
