Carrot Cake
Hey, my name's Carrot! I know, it's a pretty weird name. But my parents; as soon as they saw me; knew that I should be named Carrot. My last name is Cake, of course, so sometimes others will name me Cake.

Well.... really, just carrot. I mean, you can't really find a meaning for Carrot. I'm a vegetable. But, because my last name is Cake, I get called that a lot. I'm a Carrot Cake, I have a carrot instead of feathers, and I love Cake. Do I talk too much? Oh yeah, probably. The sugar makes me a little bit talkative.

The sweet, perfect, magical smell stung and clogged my eager nose, wafting through the air like it was deliberately trying to find me. And with it trying to find me made it so much more easy to seek out that amazing dish.
I pictured it in my mind, which began to make my mouth water and drip with drool. Spongy, stuffed with flakes of carrot and oozing with aromas and carrot sauce, packed full of sugar. The white, creamy icing floating atop the surface, light as a feather. Wedged in the top, sits a sugar-coated whole carrot, decorated with a border of circular chopped slices of the vegetable.
The words my most treasured song, the song I thought of the second I earned my charm, ran through my cake-filled mind.
Sugary magic come beckon my mouth
Sing your flavour to me
Stuffed and packed with carroty love
For breakfast, lunch and tea.
Icing light and creamy white
Topping orange and green
Cake so lush and densely plush
I'll lick its platter clean.
Give me cake and carrot atop
Serve up yummy food
To eat and devour and love forever
I'm always in that mood.
Carrot cake, carrot cake I'll love it as mine
Fill me up with the dish divine
Sugary dessert and soft to the touch
For Carroty Cake I love so much!
Imagining this, my senses in my advanced Kia nose heightened, and I closed my eyes with no use for them.
I followed the trail of wet sweetness through the air, running through my surroundings with my dazed mind focused only on my target. Racing forward, the smell was soon overwhelming. I was so close! I opened my fuzzy eyes and looked around, trying to see where the source of it was coming from. It was Definitely only paces away.
I heard footsteps, and then realised that my mother had left. She what she had left, left behind just for me, was a steaming, juicy, sweet, creamy, magical, beautiful lump of
Carrot Cake.
