She is based on a Mandolin.
I listened to several Mandolin songs, including What child is this. The mandolin seemed to me a more peppy and sunny instrument than a violin, hence the spots sprinkled in the design, to bring out a playful beat. Well, even though oekaki decided to delete her halfway through and I had to do it over again, I think I like it better this way. Hope you enjoy her rabbit!
