For his name....I couldn't really decide. I didn't want to use a name that was common, but I also didn't want to use a name that was way too exotic. I wanted to find a name that no one has used, but sometimes that task can be hard. I just couldn't figure out what I would name him. So, after a while (2 days to be exact), I decided on what his name would be... His name would be Angel. Yes, Angel may seem like a feminine name, but it will all be explained in a story later on.
Angel is 14, but he acts as if he is much older.
Angel's favorite place...is long gone. Many, many years ago, mother nature had decided to take everything away from him. That included his favorite place, his homeland, and his loved ones. But he can still remember that spot. Even though it is fuzzy, Angel can still feel the soft breeze blow through his fur, the feel of the sun kissing him, and the glorious sights from below. His favorite spot was a place right under a Jacaranda tree. It provided more than enough shade, but still had those bare spots that let in the perfect amount of sunlight. It was the perfect place for a quiet bean like him to go to. He enjoyed the view of a small lake and even more enjoyed the little purple flowers. When it came time for the flowers to fall, he would try to catch them all before they hit the ground. That was impossible, but he still tried. When he caught all that he could, he would shove them in his pouch as memories of his glorious tree friend.
Angel is a person that many believe, has a heart of pure gold. He is innocent, never harming anyone or causing mayhem. He is a peace bringer and will interrupt a fight, even if he gets hurt while doing so. If another chooses to fight or provoke him, he calmly says, "Go ahead, I will not give you the pleasure by fighting back..."They usually leave after that, but others will continue. Angel endures the pain, though. He helps any and everyone in need, and only attacks when he forces himself to.
Besides being a gentle giant, Angel is quite protective of his "family". This "family" involves a small maned wolf cub, he named Atiya. He is extremely close to her, and acts like a mother towards her. If he feels she is threatened, Angel will make himself attack the threat.
Angel is quick to learn from his miatakes. He ecen makes mistakes to learn from. One of his best ablilities is to pick up the small things people dont know. He uses that ability for future use or for quick practises he has with Atiya.
Who isn't? Angel is especially gullible for the coniving tricks Atiya plays on him. He just can't say no to her. He is also gullible to people that use him to do their work. Of course, he happily obliges, only to smack himself in the face afterwards.
The accident that happened years ago still gets to Angel. Even though he may seem fine, he really isn't. Whenever someone mentions it, he sometimes just becomes a walking zombie. He wont eat, he'll sleep all day, and basically shut everything out. He will also begin to blame himself for what happened.
Angel is homosexual. Its not that he doesn't like girls, he can tell when he sees a pretty girl, its just...he doesn't feel anything for them. When he spots a cute male or one is close to him, his heart begins to beat and he blushes. Angel also feels that he can't get what he would like from a female. Usually, the female is the "mother" in a straight relationship. He acts like a mother towards Atiya, and he loves the bond he shares with her. Someday, Angel would love to be able to share the motherly bond he feels, except not only with Atiya, but a baby bean as well.
He isn't afraid to mention that his true, blood-related family is dead, but it still gets to him sometimes. His new "family" is a small maned wolf cub named Atiya (which means "present; gift). Angel believes this name fits her because she was a gift to him.
Fire engulfed most of the savanna, and smoke clouded the skies. The only thing he could hear was the soft cry of an animal. Angel immediately reacted, charging through the flames towards the sound. The trail led to a den, but it was far too small for Angel to fit through. He began to dig, making the entrance somewhat bigger. Minutes later, he had enough room to move, so he pushed onward. Deep within the den, the cry grew louder. Angel tried his best to get further in, but it was dark. Suddenly, he came nose to nose with something. This "something" was alive, and it softly whimpered as it stared at Angel. Angel only stared back before quickly grabbing the animal by its scruff. He then crawled backwards out of the demolished den. After shaking himself off he raced away, still holding the animal by his mouth. He zigzagged and sidestepped his way through the flames. The smoke curled into his eyes and nose, making hard to focus. Angel felt as if he would die, when, he spotted a clearing. His mind told him to hurry as he felt his cargo squirming and yipping. The clearing made a fast approach and Angel was able to breathe. Even though his legs begged for a rest, he couldn't stop. He ran for another four miles before stopping, well collapsing, to the ground. The small bundle let out an angry bark as it roughly hit the ground. Panting, Angel murmured a soft "Sorry..." as he looked over the stranger. By the dark, dull coat, Angel instantly knew it was a maned wolf cub. The cub growled at him, but she wasn't a threat. Chuckling, Angel brushed his paw against her, knocking the cub over. The cub barked before jumping up, daring Angel to touch her again. Angel just shook his head, amused with the young girl. The cub yawned, but still stared hard at Angel. "You can go to sleep you know?" Angel smiled. Huffing, the cub walked away a couple paces before plopping down. Angel twitched his ear as he watched the cub softly fall asleep. Once he knew she was out, he got up and trotted over to her. He nestled down beside her and used his tail to draw her in close to him. Angel wondered where her family was, but then considered their fate. He gazed down at her as she slept, and thought how coincidental this situation was. Perhaps mother nature wanted this to happen. Maybe this small cub was an apology gift for what had happened to his family. No matter what, this cub needed someone, and he would be that someone. Angel winced and tightened the cub to his chest when she began to whimper. "Don't worry little one, I will watch over you." He then thought of something. He nuzzled her cheek and added, "I wont let anyone hurt you my little Atiya..." And to that he kept his word.
