Name: This bean's name is Kalak - the local name for the maned wolf species in Toba. Kalak is often called 'Kal' for short, but only by friends.

Age: 18

Favorite place: As simple as this seems, Kalak enjoys spending time in long grass. Any field will do, any length, just as long as it comes past his elbows. Kal will spend hours lounging in the grass, watching the clouds sail by, maybe finding some insects to munch on as well. He's prone to eating insects more than anything else; he loves the thrill of a hunt, no matter how short or small.

Favorite food: Kal isn't exactly your average sweet-loving bean. He has a taste for creepy-crawlies. Honeypot ants, grasshoppers, and cicadas are his favourites. Crickets are also good, as well as lemon ants, and Kunga cake [a solid block of midge flies]. One of the few insects he won't eat are bees. He considers them much too important to the environment, and won't include them in his diet. Kalak often says they are all fuzz, no meat.

Hobbies:
Cloud-watching - as explained earlier, Kal loves laying down in long grass and watching the sky. Sure, he falls asleep half the time, but it's the thought that counts. He often uses his paws to 'frame' particularly pretty or unusual clouds. If you're unaware of what he's doing, this can look pretty odd... Kalak doesn't seem to care that much about other's opinions though. He's doing what he loves, and that's what counts.

Reading - yes, that's right, this bean is a bookworm. He likes reading a wide range of literature focusing on two genres in specific; Historic Fiction, and Fantasy. They seem like kind of odd choices when placed side by side, but Kal likes to think they balance each other out. He loves to nestle down in his chair on a rainy day with a bag of meal-worms and a book on the Great Bean War of 1812 ["Who knew food-fights could be taken to such an epic scale!"]. Aside from history, he likes to take a break from the real world and get his thoughts lost in a fantasy world filled with flying dragons, pixies, or wizards. He hasn't read the Harry Potter series yet, but that's up there on his never-ending list of books to read.

Graskop Gorge
Standing on the edge of a rock, fresh water spraying over my rusty fur. It felt amazing,
it felt free. I stood halfway up, on one of the dryer rocks to ensure my safety. I felt
freer than could be. I was out from my mother's wings, well hypothetically of course.
Long legs straights, red eyes bright and excited, I leaned over the edge, crouching down.
Below, into a swirling, foaming pool, the water poured, a few drops splashing into the
plants on either side. It was gorgeous. However, this show was just about to begin. The
Graskop Gorge, known for its straight plummet and gorgeous mist induced rainbows, it
was one of the most gorgeous places in the world. Or atleast in my mind. But nothing
beat the gorge, at sundown.
And here it came now.
The dusky red, bright dandelion, persimmon orange, even the soft baby blues... They
glistened in the moving wall of crystal water. Oh... It was too breathtaking. The colors
danced, swirled, mingled with each other. The symphony of nature's true beauty, in
front of my very eyes. This was one moment, no one could take away.
Permanent, burned into, my mind. My one true love, and my only love, would always be
this wonderful place.

Name;;
• I would name this gorgeous guy, Pumbaa. I had been scrolling through tonnes of names when I thought of The Lion King. I decided to look for Maned Wolf characters from animated shows, but couldn't find any, so I looked around again before settling for Pumbaa, the name of the Warthog, who is pals with a Meerkat called Timon. Pumbaa is a Swahili name, like most of the names from the film, which means 'to be foolish, silly, weak minded, carefree and negligent'. His name is often misspelt as 'Pumba', which is incorrect and is a word used as a silence filler. (Fun fact: Timon isn't a Swahili name, but is actually Hebrew and means 'he who respects or honourable'.)
Age;;
• Pumbaa would be 15. There is still time for him to change a develop into a charming, intelligent young man. However, he may not be the sharpest tool in the box.
Favourite place;;
• There's a lot of places that Pumbaa could call his 'favourite place', it all depends on his mood. One day it might be in from of his Xbox and the next, it could be by the lake. But if Pumbaa has to chose, it would be the farmers field. There is so much going on in it. You have the elbow high crops, which Pumbaa can run and leap in, a pair of dogs - they are very friendly dogs - and there's a stream at the bottom of the field that Pumbaa always cools himself down in. But there's also a truck load of rusty machinery, which looks older than even the farmer. Pumbaa will usually eat his lunch while watching the birds or peering through the trees - and a barbed wire fence - at the deers. Or he'll sit a relive his childhood memories there, like eating his first slimy insect. He also finds alot of them at the farmers field and is welcome to do so as the eat the crops. So that's Pumbaa's favourite place, the farmers field.
Personality;;
• Pumbaa has a very lovable character and is very kind and tough. He deeply cares for his friends and is very protective of them. He loves insects and longs for a friend who won't abandon him. He is awkward in crowds, and sometimes displays childlike naivety which is sometimes confused for stupidity - though at times he is just being plain stupid. Pumbaa in fact comes up with some very intelligent plans and insightful ideas, which someone always seems to rapidly claim as his/her own. Unlike Pumbaa from the Lion King film, he does not have a stomach problem which causes gas, but like the Maned wolf has a stench, so has been dubbed Skunk - thus causing him to lack confidence. He also loves food, so is quite a pig - only his friends may call him pig, anyone else must call him Pumbaa or Mister Pig.
Phobias;;
• Lorries - Pumbaa isn't scared of Lorries themselves, but walking or driving infront, beside or behind them. He doesn't like the concept that they could topple over and crush him. It terrifies him that something like that could happen.
• Heights - He doesn't like heights over 6 foot, it scares him when he stands wih his feet at that height. It makes him far to high up, he doesn't like being high as if her fall, who knows what could happen. He loves being tall, but at that risk? No thanks.
• Spiders - They has long legs too. But they're all icky.
Story - The Stilts;;
"Psst, it's Pumbaa."
"Yeh....HEY PIPSQUEAK!"
"Oih, midget, don't ignore us."
"Fatso! Midget! Stupid!"

The short, tubby Jellybean Dragon scurried past the big park to his left, his tiny legs didn't look as if they should be able to support his large frame, but somehow they managed. He quickly tired and plodded the rest of the way home. From the look on his face, it was clear he was being bullied again so his neighbour decided to speak to him.

"Hey!" Jimmy padded to the young, child bean. "What's wrong, mate?"
"N-nothing Mr. Armstrong, sir." He sniffled.
"Jimmy, Pumbaa, my name is Jimmy." The adult Jellybean Dragon sighed, "Have you been bullied again? Joby has been telling me about this. Come in. Have some green tea. Talk to us about it, ok?"
Little Pumbaa nodded his head and followed Jimmy inside.

Joby scurried down the stairs to see her Dad and Pumbaa, "Hi Pumbaa." She smiled brightly at him as he sat his chubby form on the sofa while Jimmy went to make tea. Joby and Jimmy spoke to Pumbaa about the bullying, Armstrong explained to him that his legs would grow and his puppy fat will work it's way off. "One day you'll be making everyone jealous." He smiled and gave the bean a poke. "Don't poke my fat!" Pumbaa protested, he quickly started laughing, he didn't mind joking about it with his friends.

By the next weekend, Joby and Pumbaa had began their work on a set of stilts for Pumbaa. Soon enough Pumbaa had stilts that allowed him to stand eye to eye with his bullies, this didn't stop the bullying, but it boosted Pumbaa's confidence, that's all that mattered.

A few years later and the stilts are useless, Pumbaa's legs finally caught up with him, and as he got bigger, his fat stretched over his height, he no longer appears chubby - but he isn't the most energetic bean. Despite his boost of confidence with his height, he's now been dubbed Skunk due to his stench. It's natural and he can never wash it off, but at least he has some friends who will stick by him no matter what.
Accessories;;
Pumbaa's accessories would be pretty simple. He'd wear a thick ring around his tail fluff, somewhere around the middle and a cylindrical bracelet on his tail, both of these could be quite heavy, but he's got use to it so the extra tail weight no longer bothers him. He wears two bangles in each of his ankles, one each bangle there is a single tassel, Pumbaa wears these for decoration more than meaning. He doesn't think they make him any less of a man. He also would wear a necklace, each bead is a large square, the biggest with an Aztec symbol on. The necklace holds alot of sentimental value, as it belonged to one of his family members - far too many greats to count. He will also have a couple of peircings in his ears.
