Equid's Name: Copernicus, a famous scientist who discovered the world spins around the sun
Height: 13 hh
Gender: Stallion
Age: Five
Short Personality: Copernicus is seen by many as having a sort of "grumpy old man" personality, but that is simply not the case. While other Equids enjoy blathering about and running free in the mountains with their manes in the wind, this stallion is much more practical. He is a thinker, a do-er, and not one for silliness, nonsense, or anything that could be perceived as not part of reaching his current goal, whatever it may be. Copernicus is very intelligent, he loves to know
why things work and
how they do. Biology and astronomy and meteorology, basically, how the world functions, are his interests, his obsessions, and his life. They fascinate him, and are his only love. Sometimes, he can come off as arrogant or self-centered, but to himself, he just acts like he knows a whole more than most of the Equids around him, which is true. It frustrates him when others are content with their low level of knowledge. This bright Equid is always seeking to learn more and more! He can spend hours, watching birds in flight, fish in a stream, gazing at the stars, anything, really, that catches his fancy. All he needs is a little time by himself, without anyone else to disrupt his studies. Other Equids just don't understand his eternal need for peace and quiet. Horus can't stand it when there is too much noise around him, it makes him feel claustrophobic and unable to think. That's why he spends most of his time by himself, studying the world. His favorite thing to do is to climb as high as the mountains will take him, then watch the stars come out at night. That feeling of vastness, of otherness, makes him so full of curiosity he just might burst. One scheme or another is always brewing his mind for how to satisfy his ultimate curiosity: the human world. He has not yet ventured into the humans' nearby town, but is currently devising plans so he can learn even more about their strange way of life, and possibly absorb some of their knowledge about the universe. They fascinate him; with their whirring noises, little black boxes, and monsters on wheels. Surely they are all-knowing, in terms of the galaxy? It seems impossible to learn everything about them, but Horus is determined. If there is information to be gained, he will get it.
Art: So, my art is bad quality, but I put a lot of thought into it, I hope that's good ^^ Basically, it's Copernicus inside a little thought bubble, alone with all of his questions and curiosities, and there is an Equid outside shouting, but Copernicus can't hear him (just the way he likes it! )
