Breeding Reference for Artists: Despite her brindled appearance, this female is actually a normal tortoiseshell. Remember that the tortoiseshell gene is Gender-Linked and only female kittens in the litter will be tortoiseshell. Any male kittens (a roughly 0.01% chance of it happening) will have an extra Gender Chromosome and will be rendered sterile (unable to produce offspring) as a result.
