Nimbus
A nimbus cloud is basically a rain cloud - a cloud that produces precipitation. It is also a word that is used when talking about clouds. As you can see, nimbus has a lot to do with clouds, just like this Mutato, so I thought it was the perfect name for her. I also discovered that a nimbus, or halo, is an amazing optical phenomenon. I don't know much about them, but they look pretty cool and special, like this Mutato. You can go here for info on them.

Why not? Clouds are amazing really. Nimbus loves them for lots of reasons.
Firstly, because of their purpose. The fact that they are the worlds way of recycling water, it just fascinates her. The way the water evaporates, and forms into fluffy funlands. She loves it!
Nimbus also loves the rain, the feeling of the nice fresh water falling on her face, and the fact it comes from the clouds. It feels great, and it's naturally beautiful.
And the way they look. At sunset and sunrise, she just loves they way the clouds capture the wonderful colours. Their shape, too. You can look at them, and see lots and lots of different things, your imagination can go wild! They're so fluffy, and what kid has never dreamed of eating them because they look like cotton candy?
Nimbus loves the clouds for their feel too. Floating through them, the cool water particles all around you. So gentle and soothing. Everything!
Clouds are just extraordinary! And Nimbus loves them, and everything about them!

she thinks they are tasty :3 she loves to fly around and eat them, ever tho the all she really needs to survive is U.V radiation.

++Reason for choosing the name

It's like day and night, so Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi are fitting associtaions for me. They are rivals, but still siblings and are responsible for day and night.
As an addition "ama te" is Latin for the command to love yourself. I think it's important to at least like yourself to be able to create pretty things and love other people as well.

+Why does this Mutato love clouds

Direct light is sort of inspectacular to Amateratsuki, it loves the indirect, diffuse light that only clouds can produce due to their special nature and shape. So as often as possible it dives through clouds at every time of day and night to see as many different light combinations as possible.
During these journeys through the sky it met a lot of winged creatures, not only birds, but also angels and pegasi, who were as surprised as Amateratsuki to meet it. Since all of them have wings it's tail shapes like a wing, too, to look more familiar to them.

Astro

Well you see at first look, it reminded me of space. So, while I'm trying to shake the name my brother (what a concidence) turns on a show about space! Unable to shake the name and unable to not try out for this awesome mutato, I am left with no idea and a cloud mutato named Astro. Either way I still feel even knowing it's a cloud mutato, that the name Astro fits this mutato. I like the name a lot and feel that it should be this little girl's name.

Well, clouds are the color of the sunset, and they are wonderful for passing time and gazing at for hours on end. I like to watch sunsets and play in the clouds. There has never been a day that there were no clouds in the sky. Sometime, somewhere there is a cloud in the sky. Me and my friends like to guess what the shape of the cloud is. I think that clouds are beautiful beyond compare. That nothing could ever replace them. Clouds are unique.
