Serenity

Serenity is the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled. I found this name fitting, although I'll let the rest of my form explain why I chose it.

Serenity is very quiet. Although, not because she wants to be, necessarily. In fact, this girl is deaf. She was born deaf, and had never heard a word in her life. Because of this, she never learned to speak. And so while Serenity may seem cut off from the rest of the world, separated from it in her own little universe, she can still communicate. Her parents taught her to read lips, although she isn't very good at it, only able to catch some of the things you are trying to say. But Serenity is able to take care of herself quite well, and usually won't have to try and decipher what someone is trying to tell her. A lot of the time, if you do try and talk to her, she'll ignore you.
Despite knowing that others seem to communicate better than her, Serenity actually has no idea that others can talk. She has no idea what sound is, or that it exists. She believes that everyone else hears nothing but silence, like her, and she just has bad social skills.
Of course, she is wrong, but will likely never find out that others can hear. That others are connected in a way that she can't understand. No, she will always remain blissfully unaware of the problem she has, peaceful and untroubled in the quiet. Serenity will remain quite serene.
