Since grade-school. I used to draw stories of what I thought my pet dog did while I was at school. XD I haven't stopped drawing canines since~.
2. What do you like about making art?
I like that there's always something new to learn. It's never static!
3. What inspired you to do this artwork?
I was actually hugely inspired by Apache's Love Life drawing. Not only her message, but also her use of bright, exciting colors really spoke to me.
4. What do you want to improve on - if anything?
I really want to explore shading. I feel like I've gotten lazy with my shading style right now, so I think it's time to try something new. C:
5. What advice would you give to a beginning artist?
Never give up. Keep trying, keep exploring techniques, keep trying to get better! DeviantART and other sites have a huge amount of reference materials, including videos and step-by-step procedures for drawing literally anything you could want to try. Don't get discouraged, go out there and give it a shot!
I hope those answers are detailed enough! <3 Let me know if you need anything else~.
Raven Feather wrote:1) What inspired you to make this artshop/line-arts?
Well I do event lines every year. I did lines for the summer event and I decided I'd do lines for the Halloween event too. I find doing the color ins fun and kinda a way to get my mind off stuff. As well as a way to get things I miss from the event.
2) How many art do you think you'll sell this Halloween? And why?
I'm not too sure how many i'll sell. It Varies really. sometimes i do alot and others i dont do many at all. So far I haven't done many. Im not sure why maybe it's my prices or maybe it's just my lines.
3) Which of the lines is your favorite? And which would you recommend to people?
My favorite lines would be my "Chibi Candies" Lines! I just love the way they came out. I'm rather proud of them. I would defiantly recommend them to people who were interested!
(Edits are available for free on these)
4) Any plans on new line-arts this halloween? Or saving more for next year?
I may do more lines but I may not. The 3 lines I have up now came from random doodles i did! I liked the way they came out so i lined them and made them fit the Halloween theme! I'll be doing more next year and for the other up coming events!
5) Do you have any more comments, things you want people to know about your shop or something you wanted to have said?
I don't think my prices are too bad, at the moment all the payment options get you 2 color-ins! The harder to get pets can get you up to 5 color-ins when they are a payment option. Edits are available for free on 2 out of 3 of my lines. And the one that doesn't have edits has multiple costumes to choose from. I am always open for suggestions on new lines of different ways to go about doing things! So if anyone has any suggestions feel free to pm me or post on the artshop!

My inspiration for pups first halloween was kind of sad lol. I did the typical artist thing and knew I wanted an event shop but didn't have a template... and my canine skills are really lacking so I was kind of stuck xD. Despite my terrible understanding of canine anatomy I decided it would be a good idea to try and do it completely by myself. The first template was terrible. I revamped and drew a normal wolf, but decided to add a puppy modification option. That modification was a hit but I didn't like it much, so I simplified it and shrunk it down to what I've got now; this one has gone over much better than the other version :3
I think I'm at like 60 pups sold right now? That's probably where things are going to drop off, because Halloween is coming soon. I could have never hoped for a reception like this though, it went much better than I was expecting and honestly if I had worked harder and been open more this season I think I could have hit 100.
If I had to pick my favorite costume, I would pick the monster. I mean isn't it the cutest? XD If I had to make a recomendation, I would suggest the mummy with a treat bucket added on because that looks good with every character :3
No new costumes. No time to add them, but I've got a very original idea for a set of christmas templates that I'm sure will go over well but I don't know if I will have the time to run another shop :c.
That's all, thanks for including me in the Gazette <3

They clearly showed growth with the plants on their bodies, which made it easy to identify which growth was which. While I do think that the idea could have been brought about a bit differently in manner, I do believe these ponies were quite a refreshing change from the normal ponies that we get.
Reason wrote:October's grown cats are very nice. Their colors are bright and vibrant, while the designs themselves are simple and clean. I particularly like the well matched eyes; they pop out with the fire and blend nicely with the water cat. I call them like so because I assume that is what they are based off of. Personally I think elemental pets are overdone, but these are lovely nonetheless.

My key to my past.
It holds my only true possession.
A tiny picture of my family.
Or what was once my family.
I don't even know the meaning of that word anymore.
All it is to me is a bunch of syllables, hollow, with no meaning.
Worst of all, he took it.
The thief.
He's a mysterious, dark figure.
He prowls the cobblestone streets of our city.
Stealing valuables.
Prized possessions.
But I don't know why he would steal my locket.
Especially on such a stormy day.
The dark clouds erupt in a clap of thunder.
Torrents of rain beat the roof.
Drum, drum, drum.
I shiver.
It's so cold.
Especially since my family is gone.
Why did they lock me in the house?
On the day of the big storm?
With a criminal scouring the streets?
What does it mean?
All I can ask,
is what sort of family would abandon their daughter?
The rain is falling harder now.
It leaks in from the roof.
It drips down the walls.
The walls I helped paint with Father.
I grab my backpack,
full of some of my things.
I know that this thief has it out for me.
And that my family abandoned me,
trapped me in my own home, possibly to die.
This storm will be brutal,
fatal,
But I'll survive.
And then they'll see.
They'll all see.
1. Is there more to the story/do you plan to continue it?
You know, I haven't thought too much about the continuation of it, but it's certainly a possibility once I work up the drive to do it. Reading it over again, I can see potential for a part two. c: I have a few ideas stored in the back of my mind.
2. What was your inspiration for the story/theme?
I was in the mood to write something mysterious and with a hint of darkness, so this was the outcome of my current feelings. cx Often, my writing mood varies by quite a bit, so this was just what came up. As for inspiration, I had been looking at some old, black and white pictures that day, and to me, they seemed to portray an almost eerie feeling. I wanted to write something eerie as well. <3
3. Why did you choose these two pets in particular?
I chose the first one, the female, simply because she is one of my favorite dogs on the site. I love her color scheme, and she just seemed very feminine to me, so she was my choice female model.
For the other, the male, as you know, his design depicts him wearing clothes, so I had no need to dress him up as the thief. cx He's also very slick and handsome looking, and I just thought that he would make the perfect character for the story.
4. Can you briefly describe the two characters' personalities?
The female is very crafty and strong-willed. She's almost always up for a challenge, be it a life-or-death situation, or helping out a friend with some project. Even though she's sporty and sly though, she does have a love for pretty bangles, particularly ones that clip into her hair, as you can see. Even with all these good points though, she does tend to let her temper flare once and awhile.
Now, the male is very quiet, always slinking around in the shadows. He doesn't talk much, but once he sets his mind on something, you can be sure he'll get it done. He can be cunning and vicious, though not to the ones he loves; he'll care for them deeply and whole-heartedly.
5. How do you feel about the pairings chemistry as a whole? Is there a specific relationship genre you feel they fall under?
At the point in the story I've written so far, they don't know each other very well. The girl merely knows him as a thief, but the male knows her far better than she thinks. Mysterious ouo So, they don't really have a personal relationship yet, but if I write more, they will get to know each other.
6. Do you have any other pet pairings of yours that you are particularly fond of? (please link to these if so)
I have this one pairing that I am very fond and proud of <33
Click here; it's the one involving the glowing green cat and the brown and green cat.
Part one is in the quote box, and part two is below for anyone who's interested. ;B
Also, part three is on page 187 I believe. c:
*~.imagination.~* interviewing Princess Celestia
1. What was your inspiration for your fursona?
I actually didn't design her. Sona Lua was given to me by my friend, Princess Luna, years ago. Another friend, Shinkei-Shinto, gave her a small revamp and I've been head over heels for her design ever since!
2. Is there any special symbolism or meaning for his/her coloring, or props?
Since she wasn't specifically designed for me not really, but at the same time some of her markings have important symbolism to me anyways (such as stripes, spots, and the freckle-ish markings around her face). There's much more symbolism and meaning in her personality and story, like how she interacts with her mate and kids.
3. What is your fursona's personality?
The word that sums Sona Lua up best is definitely 'goofy'! She's a big cuddly sweetheart who loves to have fun and joke around. She loves every holiday, no matter how small, and celebrates them all in ridiculous over-the-top ways. Halloween is her favorite holiday since she absolutely loves sweets, but Valentine's Day is a close second because her favorite candy is candy hearts. She's also got a huge love for silly puns and will take every opportunity to make others cringe over them. Her mate and kids mean more to her than anything.
4. Do you have a favorite aspect of your Sona Lua?
Personality-wise, I love how much fun she is. Most of my other characters are a lot more serious than she is, but Sona Lua is 100% goofy all the time. My favorite parts of her design are her striped front legs and the markings on her tail.
5. In what ways are aspects of your own personality reflected through your charrie?
I love puns, being silly, candy, and family just like she does, but if you compared those aspects of our personalities her's is a huge exaggeration of mine.
6. Is your character special to you in any way, or simply a fun OC?
She's one of my most special and beloved characters by far. One of my favorite things to do is drown her in art, especially color-ins of event linearts here on CS. Her family (Sona Lua, her mate Riley, and their three kids Lei, Mint, and Pasta) should reach 100 individual pieces before the Halloween event ends! I'm hoping to hit 200 before the end of 2014. :) None of my other characters even come close; Sona is spoiled!
