What is this JBD's Profession?: Sapphires Profession is...diving! Yes diving and not sky diving. Diving as in the big blue deep. She loves to explore the blue world underneath. Swimming with the sharks especially tiger sharks. She sometimes thinks the fish and her have this weird connection. Ever since she was little she has always had a soft spot for them never daring to eat fish. She also thought that she grew up in the water. Her parents loving it just as much as she did. She can't even remember a time where she was out of the water. She loves the feel of the water hitting her as she jumps in. Feeling embraced in a cool hug, by the swarming water. Like she was always meant to be in the water and not on land. So she made it a profession to dive. Explore more species of marine life and the dark secrets the water beholds, still waiting to be found.

Many parts of this story have an underlying meaning in what I think of this bean. For example, when I saw this JBD at first, the meaning of the first paragraph in this story came to mind. That's why I found the need to include it in my story. Or the paragraph somewhere in there where he mentions his insecurities, or how important his friends are to him and how what other people think of him actually does affect him. I tried to add some quirks in here too, and a bit of his personality so you'd get an idea of who he really is. I know it's long, but I hope you can forgive me, or at least come back to it later when you're done judging everything else.

"I don't want to sing though," I wrinkled my nose in distaste. Singing required far too much thinking. I didn't want to have to remember all the lyrics or write them myself. It would be too much work to go out and find a band or a producer and stuff. Besides, this world is a pathetically judgmental place, nearly run completely off of physical appearances. Some great singers aren't even recognized because they're 'unattractive'. Honestly, who the heck are we to judge the different between beauty and ugliness?

"Well Aaron, you have to find something," my best friend, Shuiro, sighed. "Working part-time jobs aren't going to support you forever. I think you need to find something you enjoy, and settle down or something."

"Hn," Matatabi grunted in agreement. Traitor. Buuuut, I guess they were right. Even though they wouldn't say it aloud, I could tell they cared about me. "It's annoying how you keep quitting good-paying jobs simply because you've 'lost interest'." Again, amazing friends who obviously care about me. I probably would have glared at the half-dragon hybrid if it wasn't for the fact that I was still in awe. I seriously don't believe I've ever even heard him speak that much in over 2 years.

"So what?" I asked slowly. They were the ones who had suddenly called the 'meeting' with suggestions for new jobs. And honestly, I didn't believe it was simply for me to wallow in self pity and feel regret for "annoying" them. They actually had suggested a few nice jobs though. I just... I knew they wouldn't really keep me interested.

"So, start trying harder, dude! There are thousands of jobless people out there who would kill to have as much job luck as you! It isn't an 'Oh, I quit 'cuz I was bored' situation!" Shuiro groaned. Jeesh, he's so dramatic. "And no, I'm not being dramatic," raspberry eyes sent me a stern look. Okay, now I was just scared.

"O-... Okay...?" 2 curt nods and an advertisement being shoved in my face later, I was alone. Damn them and their ninja skills. Ignoring the sudden emptiness of my soul room, I peered down at the advertisement in my hand. Raising an elegant eyebrow, I offhandedly wondered what this even was. I'd never heard of such a thing before...

      Perfect.

      ###

"Un, yeah. I'm here for the voice acting application?" I asked the front desk of the building. I was honestly surprised at how many others (humans and hybrids alike) had shown up for the same job. It was this popular yet I had never even heard of it before that very day? Gee.

The human lady at the front desk eyed my twitching turquoise-and-deep-brown ear warily, honesy colored pools narrowing on my stock-still, nervous tail. I shifted to try and drag her attention back to my more humanly parts, but apparently she seemed content with scrutinizing my jellybean dragon limbs. Jerk. So what I had a tail and two animalistic ears? So what if my fangs were a bit sharper and my nails never seemed to dull? It wasn't as if I was dangerous or anything... Breathing fire or not.

It isn't common knowledge since I nearly always have up my confidence façade, but... Yeah. Those strange looks and whispers do get to me. When people call me a freak or monster, it does hurt. When they don't even have the nerve to hide their accusations, it only twists the dagger in deeper. Yeah, maybe I liked to blame my constant quitting of jobs on the fact that I 'lost interest'. Well, most of the time it was because I honestly wasn't confident in my skills. I mean, I was at first. But after the insults and messages and name-calling began...

exotic. wrote:"If someone insults you once, it's alright. Take it as a way to improve. But if they keep repeating it all the time, then something's wrong. It will get stuck in that person's mind and they'll think that they are really [insert insult here]."

"Hmm. Okay, just head over there and fill out this sheet. We'll call you in shortly." Shortly? She was honestly going to use the relief-causing word 'shortly' when there were at least 70 other creatures ahead of me?... Meh, I guess beggers can't be choosers. Not that I was begging or anything, of course.

Shrugging casually and making sure to flick my tail sassily just to scare her even more, I wandered over to a seat near the back. I ended up sitting near a human with raven black hair and tan skin, followed by bright blue eyes and a charming smile. Goodness, why the hell was he here when he could be out there putting fake models to shame?

"You new here?" he asked in a friendly manner. I nodded with my own grin and he chuckled lightly. He seemed to have an Australian/British accent of some sort. Damn, he just keeps getting better and better! Again, what was he doing down here?

"Yep, my friends suggested it, so I thought I'd give it a try," I shrugged. This didn't seem to please the male.

"So, you're only here because your friends asked you to?" A nod. He furrowed his dark eyebrows and sent me a deep, meaningful look. If only I knew what he was trying to tell me.

"Aaron Midorikage?" A strong voice boomed. My head snapped towards the voice and I swiftly stood. Somehow I managed to fill the sheet in the short amount of time I was sitting. Looks like the stare-and-scowl lady was right after all. "Please follow me," the tall male asked in a much quieter, calmer voice. I obeyed and we entered a back room with about 3 other people who supposedly were also judges/employees. I sat on the fluffy chair before them, but the cushioned backrest did nothing to calm my sparking jitters. It felt as though every breath I took was extra deep, and I was worried that they could ear the sound of my heart banging violently in my chest. It was as if the organ was attempting to escape and leave me here to suffer in my own nervousness. Traitor.

"Name," a straight-to-the-point business woman asked me. I don't think she likes hybrids much. Especially since she was literally reading the sheet at the moment yet still asked me the question. "Look brat," piercing green eyes suddenly began stabbing me. "There are hundreds if people out there, willing to try their absolute hardest for this job. It isn't a 'Oh, I'll just try out and see the results' job. It's a 'I'm going to do my absolute best so the results will be absolute' job. Clear? So when I ask you your name, you answer." she growled.

"Y-yes sir! Ugh-boss! Err-Ma'am!" I stuttered pathetically. Hey, you would too if she was literally leaning forwards in her desk simply so she could stare me even deeper into my eyes. Simply that little speech had me worried that she was actually peering into my soul and reading my thoughts. Suddenly, displeased blue eyes flashed in my head and I remembered the boy from the lobby area. Was that what the meaningful look he sent me meant? That he didn't believe in my 'Oh, I'm just doing it 'cuz my friends suggested it' attitude? That he was trying to telepathically tell me exactly what this blunt woman had said directly to my face? Stupid kid. Telepathy gear hasn't been invented yet...

But, I got it. I understood what she meant and understood the underlying meaning in the look. Like what Shuiro and Matatabi had been trying to say. Some jobs actually required energy. They required will and effort and an actual passion. Some jobs, you honestly needed to try for...

And I was willing to give this my all.

Even now I don't really know why I decided to do my best in the interview. Maybe it was because I felt stubborn. Maybe it was simply because I wanted to spite everyone who thought I wouldn't be able to do it. Maybe it's because I wanted to make the blue-eyed stranger model guy proud, and maybe I wanted to do the same with my friends. Maybe it was simply because I wanted to shove it in the blunt woman's face and have the smile-and-scowl desk woman scowl even more. Either way, I decided that today, I was going to finally wake up. Today, I was going to give it my all, and continue doing so until my built-up passion and effort honestly burned out. I am going to get the job, and I am going to like it.

"Aaron Midorikage," I answered get first question. All the people in the room nodded.

      "Current occupation?"

      "None."

      "Age?"

      "21"

      "Experience?"

      "None."

"Well, it seems as though you really aren't prepared much for this," Ms. Blunt scoffed. I glared at her. "I believe that's all."

      What?

      ...

      What?

      Image

"No." I surprised everyone in the room, even myself with that statement.

      "Excuse me?" Another guy asked.

"...No," I repeated myself. "Just let me try. Once."

"That's not standard procedure my boy. We can't just give you any special treatment simply because-"

"Let me try," I repeated again. Except firmer this time.

      "Look, boy, we can't-"

"Let him try," Ms. Blunt commanded. The room went silent. Sighing and running a pale hand through her dark hair, she said it again. The tone left no room for argument as the old man, who had been arguing with me earlier, pulled out a script and an image.

The image was of a dorky guy drawn in an anime style. His hair was a dark green that chopped off so abruptly at the end it nearly made me jump. Honestly, he looked like the type for long hair, so the way his deep pine hair just stopped... Well, it was surprising. Anyway, the guy had a soft peach skin color and large gray glasses covering nearly half of his face. The picture was only a bust shot though, so that was all I could really decipher before the short monolog was shoved in my face. I looked at the text, and furrowed my ebony eyebrows in thought. What voice would fit this guy? A dorky voice? I scoffed. That would be the obvious choice. I needed to stand out, darn it!

A memory suddenly blossomed in my head from back in high school, and I remembered the dorky guy who I talked with a few times. I remembered how his voice was surprisingly deep for a guy of his size, but the baritone suited him. After listening to him speak for a bit, honestly his deep-ish voice was perfect for his personality. So that was the voice I decided to base my 'copy' on. Suddenly my bivocal [can do both a male voice and a female voice] voice pleased me. It gave me the ability to even reach high enough tones that I could even mock a girly voice. This large variety of tones also have me the ability to make several different voices. Thousands.

Copying the voice from my memory was surprisingly easy. "Run, stupid! The dogs will catch us if you don't!" the image of two young boys running down a sunset-shadowed alleyway appeared in my head. One was sacrificing himself for the other, as the large monstrous dogs began to catch up. Of course, 'my character' wasn't actually as brave as he was attempting to be though, and slight fear was leaking into his voice. The fear was doubling since the second boy decided then was the time to be stubborn, instead of saving himself.

"Hurry or they'll catch you!... What do you mean 'no'?!" slight aggravation. "You don't have a choice! Run- NOW!" Horror. The dogs are here. The dogs run straight past my character, and immediately begin eating... "NO-" the distressed howl is cut off my a sob which wracked my character's body, shaky breaths being released from his small lungs.

The end. That was surprisingly... Fun though. Not that I would ever admit it, but it was actually very interesting. I enjoyed how I got to call the shots on the voice which I thought suited the character best, and how I got to use my imagination and try my hardest to even make the listeners understand the scene which was playing out in my head. Difficult, but definitely amusing.

A clap sound suddenly erupted from ahead of me, swiftly followed by others. I looked up with a surprised expression, having forgotten they were even in the room. They had been so silent too. As of they were hanging onto every single word I was saying. "Okay, that will be all." My brows furrowed. That's it?

"But-" I began only to be cut off my Ms. Blunt yet again. Dang, I really needed to find out what her name was.

"That will be all, Mr. Midorikage." The superior voice again. Meanie. I sighed forlornly after finally standing up and leaving the room. I sauntered back over to my seat next to the model wannabe, only to uncharacteristically plop down and sigh yet again. That was... Draining.

"Did you do well?" The friendly teen asked. "That was the longest interview yet," he nudged me playfully.

"I... I don't know," I ran a hand through my dark brown and pale sandy hair. "I honestly think I blew it." I began to twirl a strang of brown hair around my long, pale finger out of habit while biting my bottom lip. Model guy laughed and I watched in silent amusement as his azure eyes twinkled and his giggles were filled with odd snorts here and there. His laugh itself made me want to laugh.

"Nah man, I can tell you did well. Simply by the way Mr. Foster-" the tall man who called me in, supposedly. "-brought you out with this knowing smile on his face. You just have to have more confidence." I paused when he gave me that soul-searching look again. Again, how could all these people read me so easily? How did he know that I just needed some encouragement. This guy was too kind for his own good. Kind of like an old friend, though I didn't even know his name.

"Why are you being so kind to me?" I asked slowly. The stared at me for a second before shrugging and easing back into his seat. He reminded me of myself, all slouched and such. Like a bean-bag, or a potato who had become 'one with the couch'.

"I... I dunno. I guess I kind of feel like you deserve it more than I do. When you're there, I feel like it's sort of my duty to make you feel better... Like an older brother or soemthing. Which is weird, because I'm an only child. You just... Sort of had this insecure air to you." I raised an eyebrow at his explanation, which he seemed to catch. "Woah! Do that again!" He commanded with a grin. I raised my eyebrow again and sniggered at the look of childish wonder displayed on his face. He tried to also, though it seemed his eyebrows preferred to stick together.

"Azure Blake?" Mr. Foster's voice boomed again. The guy next to my sprang up and hurriedly grabbed his papers. I snorted at him and he sent me a half-hearted glare. The lopsided grin sort of ruined it though.

"Goodluck, Azure." I called to him when he turned. So that was his name... God, this guy really needed to become famous or something.

"Same to you, Aaron." He flashed me a real, true smile before scampering off. When I went home that day, waiting for the results to appear in my email didn't even seem to be the worst of my problems. It was more the fact that suddenly everything came rushing back.

The stupid stare-and-scowl woman, my lack of experience, my stubbornness, my 'test', Azure, and then the encouraging call I received shortly after my arrival home from Shuiro and his boyfriend Xenon. Matatabi didn't call, but I knew it was because he knew I would call him with the results anyway. I could swear all of my friends had the ability to read minds. Maybe that's why Azure had just assumed I would understand his telepathy? Because everyone else in the world seemed to have it... Well now I just felt left out, since I didn't receive the gift too.

      ###

After about a week since the try-outs, my laptop dinged and I leisurely walked over to the device and flipped it open. I nearly dropped it altogether when I realized it was the results. Hesitantly opening the email, my eyes fluently swiveled across the screen until I came down to the results section. I read it slowly, about 3 times actually, then grinned stupidly for the next 5 hours while doing everything and anything. Apparently I wasn't the only winner either. Three people had gotten the job in all, but I only knew the second winner.

Aaron Midorikage, Azure Blake, and Cordelia Hauk

Looks like I would meet the boy again after all. Looks like I would be seeing Ms. Blunt again and Ms. stare-and-scowl again too, along with the other guys. Looks like I would be seeing the whole building again, and looks like I'd get to live the thrill of voice acting again. Looks like I was lucky enough to win, have such amazing, encouraging friends, and even make a few new ones. I'm really a lucky guy.

Suddenly a bright, blinking, blaring and siren-included add popped on my computer screen causing me to scream and have a hand-spasm moment at the same time. This caused my laptop to fly from my hands and sail to the floor as if in slow-motion. I must say, it exploded quite dramatically too.

Ah, the perks of being lucky one moment, and a loser the next.

You've seen me all over the chat ovo. I currently only own one bean, Geko. You can see him in puff form in my signature. ^^
Image
Adelaide {AD - duh - LAID}
It means nobility in French but sweet or noble in German. I chose this name because I wanted her to have something that flowed easily and something sweet. I think it fits her perfectly.
Image
Female
I couldn't see her as anything else. Those markings under her eyes look like eyelashes to me, I just couldn't see a male having those type of markings.
Image
Image
Adelaide's a painter.
More specifically a shoe painter. And no, not like drawing on them, more like painting them line less. She does it for free only to her friends and sells them greatly in the human world. People really like them and sometimes she'll even give some drawing lessons to kids for free. She loves her job and doesn't want anything more than it. It calms her when she's angry or makes her happy when she's sad. Sometimes she'll get overwhelmed by orders when doing the shoes that she'll put it aside for a few moment before continuing. More examples of what I'm talking about 1 2 3 4 5
Image
I decided to try my literacy of poems, which I haven't done in so long. I was doing art and finished it but I didnt like it so I removed it and made my extra a poem. ^^ If you do not understand what is happening, someone broke into Adelaide's studio and destroyed all of her art work.

My Sweet
My sweet little flower, why must you hide?
My sweet little flower, you shouldn't have cried.
Tears stream softly from your eyes.
You fall into my arms, oh so wise.

Your claw raises, pointing to the dark.
I don't see anything, oh wait there's a spark.
This thing I caress, what is it?
What is this slit?

It's awfully torn, awfully worn.
They came out of no where, hands bearing a shear.
The blade tore, scrathed and shredded my beautiful art,
Little by little it fell apart.

I couldnt stop them, could hold them off.
They wouldnt leave, they just scoffed.
I feel so bad now, i worked so hard.
They left so soon, leaving nothing but this shard.

She held up a piece of torn fabric, claws and cuts right on through it.
I gasped, surprised at what I had saw.
Who in their right mind would do this unjust law?

She just shrugged, her head fallig into her paws.
I couldn't help but want my own claws.
I would at least want to talk to these fellows.
To tell them a few or more bellows.

Now my sweet little flower, why must you hide?
It's time to clean up and re-set the time.
My sweet little flower, why must you hide?
You're missing the wonderful world outside.

★------------Name------------★

Leila

Pronounced {LAY-lah} is of Arabic origin.
The meaning of the name is "Night Beauty".

★------------Gender------------★

Female

Image

★------------What is her Profession------------★

Leila's name says it all, She is a Night Beauty meaning her profession has to be something at night and it is, She hosts her own radio show, called 'Leila's Late-night, Nightlight'. She absolutely loves it, It puts her two favorite things together, Music and the Night-Life.
Every time she gets on the mic, she just loses herself into the music and the talk. She has always loved music from when she was little and has tried to incorporate that into every thing she does. And she does, she just couldn't find the right job for her. Considering that she is a night-owl and stays up late, she couldn't find anywhere to work that she could use music in and is late at night.
She had just given up when she was listening to the radio, and heard that they were looking for an intern and that's how she got hooked. She took the job and started to work her way up to radio host, and after alot of hard work and sweat, (And a few tears) She had finally achieved her dream.
And every night, she gets up with a smile on her face, grabs a coffee, and heads to the studio, not worried about what it has in store for her that night, just happy that she has a job that doesn't even feel like a job, because she loves doing it.

★------------Personality------------★

She is thoughtful and sensitive to the needs of others, especially her loved ones. She makes an excellent listener, and her friends rely on her to be their rock in times of trouble. It is rare that she asks them to return the favor, however: she is a private person, and she rarely talks about her feelings. She doesn't like confrontation, and she doesn't usually react when someone hurts her feelings. She tries to give people the benefit of the doubt, and she doesn't want to cause a fuss. She picks her battles, and when someone steps over the line, She surprises them with the vehemence of her emotions.

This girl loves to watch movies. She's simply obsessed! She's watched almost every movie known to man and could win any movie trivia game. She enjoys quoting things from movies, and can't look at a situation without thinking of a movie like it. Her wide knowledge of movies has proved to be handy, as she will sometimes use ideas from movies to get her out of sticky situations.

As a dreamer, Leila often lives with her head in the clouds, but alas, walking with your head to the sky means you tend to trip a lot. Leila is still learning the ways of the world, and as such makes many mistakes. Luckily for her, a few bumps in the road rarely bring her down for very long, and before you know it Leila is soaring through the stars again.

Leila is also extremely intelligent, but sometimes she doesn't think things through all the way, she often jumps head first into a situation and doesn't think about the consequences. She handles pressure adequately, depending on the issue, she can be calm or a bit uneasy and rash. It's hard to say how she would truly react in these kinds of situations since she has never really been put in situations like those.

    Username:
The name's ~Fuzzypeach~ ouo call me Fuzz.
    Name:
"Yo! My name is Kirkland, pleasure to meet 'cha!''
    Gender:
    She is a pretty girly<3
    What is this JBD's Profession?:
    This girl loves to DJ!<3
she is perfect at it, or nearly perfect.
If she couldn't DJ, she'd lose her mind! It's just her passion, and she wouldn't trade it for the world.
    Personality:
    Kirk is spunky!
    She loves people a whole bunch, and is the social butterfly of her jam. { When she gets one. }
She can be some what sassy though, and this makes others want to avoid her. She is obnoxious, and doesn't like to stay quiet.
She likes to help people, it's one of her favourite things to do, that's why she became a DJ. So she could DJ at peoples parties and events.
