Alastor. Defender. And that's supposed to do what no name can: Describe him, the no-man's-land of his heart. Alastor's name is man's defender, and yet that's a lie. He defends himself, his secrets. No-key is the name he has earned, because he's always locked up inside.
And yet the name fits.

Alastor "No-key's" deepest secret, as some put it, is that he left his family. His father was practically insane after the death of Alastor and his sister's aunt, and his sister was often the victim of his fits of rage. Alastor knew the family needed him, and yet ...
He left.
The fact torments him, ruining his freedom. He tried to push it away, but he's ended up locked in. He would be more out there, only he has to stay inside to guard his secret. He feels he is a coward, a traitor, and even wonders if his sister and father are alive ...
He's too scared to find out.

Caragdur Ethos

This lovely boy's name is Caragdur Ethos. Ethos comes from the Greek language, meaning 'dark'. The dark colors of this boy seems to create the name itself and also came to him as he loves the dark. He is one of the only that feels peaceful in dark places.
The part Caragdur is elvish, meaning 'dark spike'. I think it goes well with Ethos and the theme, so I picked it. He prefers Ethos though.

Considering I live mostly in the night, this makes sense.

His darkest secret is something he would tell no one. Not his family, nor friends, nor even a lover if he had one. He's afraid of what they might do. He is a spy for a dark organization of assassins. It seems simple, but it's really not. His village despises assassins. They would kill one on site, that is if they knew who they were. Every other night he sneaks away to the organization, scouting around. His job is to be sneaky, and find out rumors around the town. It's also to try and find the next victom, whether from gossip, or someone orders it. He isn't proud of this, he just needed money. But he's stuck for life. He could manage with a secret in example was if he hated bugs, or did something he wasn't suppose to, but this surpasses them all. The only thing he likes now is he can work at night. He struggles to keep this a secret, as he's up all night. When he wakes, his family always asks why he's up so late, and he has to lie. It truly is the darkest secret. If anyone found out this, he'd be dead.

I'm not proud of myself for keeping this in, but I'm stuck with it, no matter how much I hate it.

This JMD's name is simply Liam, an Irish name meaning 'determined warrior'. He is also named after one of my best friends named Liam who absolutely loves Skrillex. <3

It dated back, back to the days when Liam was still little. Liam was kind, fun and very outgoing back then, until it happened. Until Liam's parents hired a new housekeeper at their mansion. It was an old, dark looking Jewel, but it was all normal. At least at first it was. Then when Liam's parents suddenly disappeared, the housekeeper became Liam's guardian. But they didn't do normal things like play with toys together or draw with bright crayons together, the housekeeper taught Liam how to play Strip Poker. Of course it wasn't the normal kind... it was about secrets. Every time you lost a hand, you had to tell a secret. Not just any normal secrets like "I took some candy from your pocket while you weren't looking.", it had to be one of your deepest, darkest secrets. Liam hated it. He hated the housekeeper and his little tricks. So he ran. Never stopping, never staying in one place for too long, escaping from the horrible place he once called his home.
Now, many years later, Liam has seemed to have lost his voice. The dark secrets had haunted him for too long. He still talks, but he is just quiet most of the time now. On the inside, he is still a real sweetheart but the reason he takes this facade, is just because he is afraid.
Afraid of the past. Afraid that the secrets will come back to haunt him again.

Even though it was a total accident,I kicked her so hard,I killed her. As the thunder rolled louder,I wrote a note and tied it to my sister's unmoving leg. Then I grabbed my sister's feathers and ran very far away from home. I'm only bitter to repel other JMDs so I don't hurt or kill them,too.}
