Explanation:
Snowflakes lightly fell from the pitch black sky, landing on the surroundings of the mansion's grounds, and all that is around it. The only light that is visible from distance would be the small, Japanese lanterns that dimly lit the stone path that ran from the edge of the woods, towards the entrance of the quiet mansion that stood within the sacred grounds. Along the walls were ivy which creeped up the sides of the walls, curling outwards as each vine swerved over one another, it's leaves seemingly darker than normal from the eternal night. The wood that kept the walls together seemed to be nice and sturdy from the outside, yet had some signs of age, including some slight mold, and some broken boards that lay on the ground beside the large mansion. Not a small creature disturbed the peace, strangely, not even a small bug revealed itself. The strange, heavy feeling grew more noticeable as the large doors slowly creaked open, revealing a large corridor dimly lit with white candles, only lighting to where you could see where each step would take you. The doors close, and reveal two large lanterns against the wall, lit and giving off a strangely blue glow, lighting the entire doors in a light, welcoming glow in a shade of light blue. As you proceed further into the mansion, wallpapers along the walls rotted with age, slowly ripping apart and hanging off the side of the wall; the wood revealed beneath seemed to rot as well, some wood planks against the wall broken, or ever so slightly bending against the age it suffers. Only few dressers pressed against each side of the walls, themselves rusted, or rotting with age as well as the walls are. As for other rooms you may explore, furniture looks destroyed, signs of neglect and no sign of use. Dust collected on objects, and signs of age seemed obvious with color change and as well as rotting and rusting. Cobwebs collected in ceiling corners of the rooms, yet, no signs of any living creature were visible. Only candles lit the rooms throughout the mansion, dimly lighting up only a certain amount of the room, and casting suspicious shadows along walls, or even outlining faint figures of what used to inhabit the mansion centuries before. For all many would know, these creatures may be a threat, or even something that would want nothing more than to have companions. But who knows, not many beans have ever tried finding out. Only little rooms may contain comfort; small, soft beds covered with a thick blanket, surrounded by small screenings to protect from the outer areas, a single lantern beside where a bean's pretty little head would lay, lighting the area of the room with a dim shine, and with a sense of safety from the spirits that roam the corridors and rooms.
