Fact no.1: Félix was born and raised on a specialised breeding farm neighbouring the Huisne river. This particular river is said to be the birthplace of the first Percheron horses, which has made the area central to the conservation of these beautiful drafts.

Fact no.2: When he was first imported into the UK at the age of two years, Félix was intended to be trained as a demonstration horse, ploughing fields on display farms to educate people on life before machinery. However, he didn't quite make the grade, so was sold off as a riding/show horse, since his conformation was very good.

Fact no.3: During his first winter back on my farm, Félix spent most of the day playing in the snow with his favourite blue jolly ball. Snow splattered everywhere as he kicked it up with his huge, heavy feet. Some of this snow splattered onto my cat, Brutus, turning him into a snow cat! He recovered, though I still laugh about it to this day.

Other: You did a wonderful job yet again, Teresa! I also wanted to provide three facts about the breed, if that's alright:

> There are many theories to the origins of the Percheron horse, though no one can see which of these is true. It is certainly believed that some Oriental blood is involved (mainly Arabians), but there is also speculation to the influences of Breton (a breed of French draft) and Spanish blood (Andalusians, etc.)
> In the 19th century, more Arabian blood was added to the Percheron to make the breed suitable for military purposes, hence they are lighter and less stocky than other draft breeds.
> By the 1930s, Percherons accounted for around 70% of the USA's pure draft population, with a population of over 30,000 Percherons alone. The Belgian was second to the Percheron, with a population of about 10,000.

Every horse put up for adoption is to be some variety of grey.
Horses that look white but have dark skin are actually gray
EVERY grey horse put up for adoption must have at least two trinkets/line edits/tack
If you are ordering a custom, it does NOT have to be grey
If you do order a grey custom, you may choose 2-3 trinkets/line edits/tack to go on him/her for FREE

dance for me.
Show Name:
Speckled Beaut
Barn Name:
Speckle
Breed:
Percheron
Color:
Dappled Grey
Age:
3 years
Gender:
Mare
Fact no.1:
Speckle works pulling weights for competition. She is very good at it too. She's won many awards. She was even sent to Germany for championships. Sadly, she lost there to another Perchon pulling horse. Her handler has been working her harder and harder than usual.
Fact no.2:
Speckle used to be just a farm horse. She was going to pull a plow, but when she was sold to another man, he saw her talent, and let her shine. It took her a while to get used to the idea about pulling heavy things, but soon her muscles grew to gargantuan sizes, making quite a hard horse to beat when competing.
Fact no.3:
She may seem big and strong, and she is, but Speckle is actually quite a softy. She's sweet, caring, kind, and quite good with children. Most pulling horses aren't good to ride, but Speckle is okay. You can ride her a little, and even ride her bareback. The children after competitions climb all over her, and she is perfectly fine with that.
Other:
Nope. :3

{{ i am swooning over all the grays!
