Hello, Apple and other people, I'm Narwhals. Go ahead and call me Nar, or N. I am a non-owner, and I am active on the JBDFC. Not much to it, really, but, yup.

name;;

It took me a while to find a name that fit this girl here, but after some thinking, I decided on the name, Maia. Pronounced [Ma-ya]. Maia means brave warrior, and fits her very well :3
" Why hello there, the name's Maia, but call me Mai. The nickname has a totally different meaning, but who the duck cares?"

gender;;

I decided to make this lovely little bean a female. I always decide on name before gender, but this time it was a bit different ^^ she calls herself a dudette ..." I am a dudette, and don't question. nuff' said."

story of her beads;;

" My beads, there is no sob story to them, there not my mothers. They are not that special, anyways. They're pretty cheapy, too. Well, here is that story.
One day, I woke up, normal. Walked out of bed, blah blah had some pancakes. It was a boring day, so my parents told me to get out of the house and walk around. I was walking down the street, just, window shoppin' I guess. Couple beans passed, dogs barked, cats meowed. I tripped. I looked down, expecting a rock, or a stupid crack, but there was a string with the beads. Back then, they seemed so beautiful, and like, I could not stop myself. I grabbed it greedily, looking around just in case somebody was looking at me. I tied it around my tail. They jingled and jangled as I walked now, which ticked me off, but, I never took them off. They just, I dunno. I just found them one day, and I wear them. They're pretty darn beautiful, though. They used to be translucent, but they turned opaque over time. They never get dirty, and they feel like pearls. I dunno what they are, where they came from. They are just pretty :3 Well, I got home, soon after that. My mom asked me where I got them, because she wanted to be "matching". I rolled my eyes at her and she smiled. Soon, I wore them out since I was a baby bean when I found them. Now, they're all delicate and cheap-looking. The string is wearing out, it's some type of special leather. The next day, after I found the beads, they turned slightly darker. The string turned slightly lighter, too. They're strange those crazy beads."
I used way under the word limit, but I fully expressed what I wanted to.

Hello, I'm Cobweb. I seriously hope this bean will be my first JBD, and I hope you'll enjoy reading through my form. C:

Morelle Noire - nightshade in French. This lovely bean's dark colors was the main inspiration for the name, as well the poisonous plant Deadly Nightshade, which her personality relates to. People call her Ellie - she doesn't mind.

Ellie is a female.

It was one of those dreams when you feel slow and numb and stupid.

I was running at full speed. My paws ached terribly and my breaths came in short, fearful gasps. Shadows slithered up from the alley walls and grabbed at me. My scream sounded harsh and guttural when crimson eyes peered and glared at me from the inky black shapes.

I knew my pursuer was one with wings; I knew it was swift and deadly and elusive. It gave a loud screech - one filled with triumph and eagerness.

Talons, sharp as razors, raked my tail. I snarled harshly. Rage quenched fear as I pulled myself free from the claws of death and spun around, teeth bared.

Finally, after weeks of consecutive nightmares, I saw my pursuer.

The Ancient One - a shadowed, shapeless mist.

Morelle, it crooned. Hand me the thread on your tail - I promise you that you will have the power of the storms in your paws.

I stiffened as the tight alley walls melted away, and the scene morphed into that of a thunderstorm. I now stood on a thick gray cloud. Scorching heat sizzled up my paws as lightning seared from it with a blinding flash.

"No!" I growled, resisting the urge to scream in pain as lightning cleaved the skies again. "It's treasure - a silken string from the Drake. I cannot let it go."

The Drake is long dead. That is nothing but a mere strand of worthless material. He gave a heaving sigh and the cloud I was on quivered violently.

"It is his spirit that I've met."

Then I am left with no choice.

"Shut up, O Wonderful Weirdo!" I snapped, all the fear suddenly draining from my body. It halted mid-swoop, and white fire streaked from his colorless eyes. I beg your pardon.

"Get out of my dreams! Oh gosh, what is that smell? What, did you eat rotten banana peels for supper? Goodness, that stinks!" The words tumbled out of my mouth in a rush, and I tried to stop them, but I couldn't.

Failing another attempt to shut my mouth, I continued, barely looking at the supernatural being in front of me. "Ugh. Someone get me a snout-clip. You know what? You're revolting, disgusting and monstrous. So you want the string? I'd hate to burst your bubble - "

Finally my jaws closed with a snap, and I watched with wide eyes as he blurred into a normal owl. "Morelle - Ellie. Look," a rumbly voice said.

A clump of three berries - Deadly Nightshade - appeared and shrunk into three perfect beads. I watched, mouth agape, as they strung themselves onto the thread on my tail.

"What I am just now is the echo of your personality, Morelle Noire. Remember that, and the beads - Anger, Hope and Poison - will lead you through life."

The Ancient One nodded in farewell, fading away along with my dream.

It was a beautiful terror to wake up.

500 words used.

Oh wow, what a pretty bean. ;o;
Hopefully this little guy will be my first!

    name;;
    I decided to name this majestic bean "Amur" after the beautiful and nearly extinct Amur Leopard. Although his coat is much less vibrant than an actual Amur Leopard's coat, the designs on his back remind me of the spots on an Amur Leopard's back. The name is short and sweet with a good ring to it as well, which is one of the reasons I decided to go with "Amur".

    gender;;
    This bean is male, although he isn't much into very manly things. He just likes doing quiet, peaceful things, like watching the sky and taking naps.

    story of the beads;;
    From the moment Amur was born, he was gifted three bright blue beads from his mother that represented what would be his three greatest qualities; loyalty, peacefulness and sensitivity. The beads were all placed in a tiny leather bag and tucked away in his fur, always kept there to remind him of how gentle he would be when he grew up. As he grew older, however, he didn't possess any of the qualities the beads promised. He was an adventurous, brave little bean that loved to look danger in the face and explore the unknown.
    And so, one dark and bleak day, he sneaked passed his mother's watchful gaze and slipped outside. As soon as he got outside, he realized that the world was a lot scarier than he had expected it to be. The trees were tall and dark, and without his mother next to him, he felt very... Small. Despite the growing fears he felt, he kept moving.
    It wasn't long before the little bean realized that he was truly and absolutely lost in the big scary forest and he suddenly found himself very scared. He sat down and cried out for his mother for a long time, but no one came for him. He began to panic. What if I never get out of here? What if no one ever finds me?
    But Amur was not the type to just sit down and wait for others to find him. No, he would make use of this time while he was stuck in the forest. He took the bag of beads out of his fur for the first time since they were placed there and dumped them on to the ground, trying to decide what to do with them. A piece of abandoned thread drifted past him in the breeze as he thought, which suddenly struck an idea in his mind.
    He caught the string in his teeth and carefully strung the three colorful beads onto the simple black string. It took him a moment to decide where to tie it, but he finally decided to tie the string around his tail where it would always be visible, where it would always remind him to grow into the bean the beads had prophesied him to. Keeping the beads in the little hidden bag made it easy to forget that they were there.
    From that day forward, Amur stopped being reckless. He became the loyal and quiet bean he was destined to become since birth, and he has kept the beads around his tail as a reminder ever since.
    The story is 436 words exactly. c:

    This picture is of Amur attempting to catch the string.
    Art belongs to me.
    I didn't give him a design or horns in this picture because his designs and horns haven't grown in yet. c:

username;; Groudon.

name;; Screech

gender;; Female

story of the beads;;

Story of the beads wrote:Screech limped through the forest; her luminescent eyes round with fear. She’d been chased out of her den by a wild animal and now she had nowhere else to go. To make matters worse, while running she’d taken a nasty tumble down a hill and had injured her foot. The injury was proving to be a problem, as she could no longer put weight on it, leaving her with only three usable legs.

The gentle female panted for breath as she hobbled, exhaustion creeping up her muscles. She’d been searching for somewhere to stop since that morning and now the sun was slowly sliding down the horizon. Soon, she could rest. Even if it was out in the open, she needed to rest her twisted ankle.

Swish

Screech whipped around, wincing at a painful throb from her wounded limb. She stared at the trees intently, turquoise eyes filling with dread. “H-Hello?” She called nervously, her voice tiny.

Swish

Screech faced the other direction, ears pricked. For a moment there was silence. When her tensed muscles relaxed, the swishing started again, but this time behind her. Losing her composure, the female shrieked in fright and ran in the only direction she hadn’t heard the noises, directly ahead. Her injured foot was limp, still unable to hold her weight as she stumbled through the forest. An odd-looking bush came into her path and she made an attempt to jump over it.

Snap!

Her leg still too painful to move, she had taken the jump with her foot held lower than the others. As a result, it connected with something concealed within the pile of leaves. The leaves fell away as three of her paws hit the ground and she tugged a bit to try and get her snagged foot free. A tight string was revealed to her, weighed down by large beads and she realized all too late that it was a tripwire attached to two trees. One of the knots was looser than the other, which was proven when her tugging made it come undone. The string snapped back, coiling tightly around her wounded ankle and holding fast.

Screech, momentarily forgetting about her injury, yanked sharply on her trapped limb. The resulting stab of pain nearly made her collapse and she realized that she couldn’t move without adding further injury to her ankle. She bit her lip and choked down a sob as her foot continued to throb painfully. She looked back at the string before twisting her body in the same direction. The string snapped taut, pulling on her leg and twisting her foot in an awkward position. She bit down on the string, snapping it and pulling her foot free.

Without hesitation, she hobbled from the scene. The beaded string was still tangled around her ankle. She would later grow to wear it around her tail as a symbol of her endurance through the pain.

A symbol of her bravery.
