Full Name:
Hidden From the World
Nickname:
Heidi
Age:
17 years
Gender:
Mare
Breed:
Kelpie
Height:
14.2 hh
Personality:
Well, Heidi is quite a handful. She's stubborn and very hardheaded on the outside, very demanding and has spunk and attitude. She's rough to handle, and can be quite a fiery one, but once tamed and calmed, is a good horse underneath. Besides the wild side to her, she's a nice horse. Spirited, joyous, and quite kind as well. It may seem like she's all fun and games, but she's mischievous too. She'll sucker you in, thinking everything's okay, and then she makes her move. She's almost escaped twice, and injured a few people in the process. You can't trust a kelpie, even Heidi. She has been tamed for human contact, but her wild spirit has not. So when handling Heidi, be careful, and wise around her.
Story:
I slowly inched into the wooded area behind my house, flashlight in hand. "H-H-Hello?" I stammer, holding the light with both of my shaky hands. I had heard a loud noise coming from outside from my window, so I came out to investigate. The ranch horses where in the stables, and the cattle was out away in the corral. Could it be one of them? She hoped so, knowing they have had a break in before. But yet again it might just be a lost dog, or cat wondering around. A twig snaps behind me, and I whirl around, seeing nothing there. "I know you're there!" I call, then a breath brushes down my neck. I scream, running forward a tad, turning to see a glowing horse, eying me with its beaming eyes. I stand still for a moment, as the horse stands still as well. My hand reaches out, as I touch its forehead. It still stands still, still gazing at me with its majestic eyes. I manage to croak out, "Hello there." And the horse exhales. I pat its head one last time, before going back into the house. I hear a twig snap behind me. That horse is following me! Then I see the blue markings across her pelt. "Are you coming with me?" I ask, as she tosses her head. I chuckle slightly, leading her to the stables, where I put her in a stall for the night. Our adventure together, begins at dawn.
