The cubs do count as your 5 total. You have a few options after breeding:
-Both owners can keep one or one can keep both.
-You can gift one to a friend. Both owners must agree with this and the user must be a member of the fanforum.
-You can have the artist put one or both up for public adoption. You will help judge and arrange the contest. ;3

You can not:
-Give the cub away without notifying the artist before.
-Have people bid/pay you for the cub or bribe you into breeding the Emyriches for them.
-Decide gender, traits, or designs if you are not an artist.
-Bother an artist that has their slots closed.
