♡ My username is fireflies., it sounds quite pretty does it not? xD I changed my username not very long ago at all, Air just didn't really seem to fit me anymore ; I got bored of it, to be honest and longed for a change. I chose fireflies because I've always been interested in the bugs ; it was almost like magic to me, really. Past usernames have been the most recent, Air, Black caviar, greenchickencurry and a few more that I can't be bothered naming. I guess my nickname could be fire or fly but currently, I have no nickname.

♡ You sometimes here a mother warning her dear child about the dangers of medusa, never look her in the eye is what they say the most. Why should you never look this girl in the eye then? Because you will see such guilt shining in their and self-pity that will rip your very heart out in grief for her. It is still unknown why her parents called her Medusa but her brother when he was still alive ; Titus said it was because her hair looked really wild when she was born ; it was a name which gave her parents a laugh. As you can probably guess by now, Medusa's parents weren't the best ones around and didn't take their job seriously enough, seeing the whole thing as one big joke. If you would like to here a full name, it's Medusa Skull Raven, quite long is it not?
The three Gorgon sisters—Medusa, Stheno, and Euryale—were all children of the ancient marine deities Phorcys (or "Phorkys") and his sister Ceto (or "Keto"), chthonic monsters from an archaic world. Their genealogy is shared with other sisters, the Graeae, as in Aeschylus's Prometheus Bound, which places both trinities of sisters far off "on Kisthene's dreadful plain":

Near them their sisters three, the Gorgons, winged
With snakes for hair— hated of mortal man—

While ancient Greek vase-painters and relief carvers imagined Medusa and her sisters as beings born of monstrous form, sculptors and vase-painters of the fifth century began to envisage her as being beautiful as well as terrifying. In an ode written in 490 BC Pindar already speaks of "fair-cheeked Medusa".[5]

In a late version of the Medusa myth, related by the Roman poet Ovid (Metamorphoses 4.770), Medusa was originally a ravishingly beautiful maiden, "the jealous aspiration of many suitors," but when she was caught in the company of the "Lord of the Sea" Poseidon in Athena's temple, the enraged Athena transformed Medusa's beautiful hair to serpents and made her face so terrible to behold that the mere sight of it would turn onlookers to stone. In Ovid's telling, Perseus describes Medusa's punishment by Minerva (Athena) as just and well earned.

♡ Medusa wouldn't be able to not feel very insulted if you asked her such a question like this. Alright, a first glance you could easily see her as a male with a dark glint in her eyes and a very musclar build despite her gender, not to mention a harsh yet emotionless voice. All these things lead up to her being a guy but she is not, so if you did ask her about it she'll just shoot one hurt look your way before walking away withnot another word. After that, Medusa would probably be sour to you for the rest of the year - no, in fact she would be sour to you for the rest of your life. Yet this girl's used to such careless comments this at the moment, still doesn't stop her from feeling offended.

♡ Medusa's life started out years ago, born to two reckless young parents who barely knew each other. Balrog [ the father ] and Eos [ the mother ] never meant to have kids and when the female did fall pregnant soon after, they saw raising their children as a big joke. When Titus, their cheery and firstborn son was born they pretty much let him do whatever he wants, their little boy always used to get hurt due to their lack of concern, eventually he twisted his paw behond repair. Medusa was their second born child, only born a year after Titus but to be honest, they were a little nervous when they first layed eyes on her. They told everyone they named their daughter because of their wild hair, yes, but what is the real reason she is now called Medusa? The truth is, Medusa's markings were nothing like the ones of her parents and the reason behind that is still unknown, but anyway, the couple felt that their daughter would grow into something evil.
Their small and foolish minds by hoping to give their baby the name of Medusa, she would feel so hurt and forgotten that now darkness could grow withen her, stupid right? She would've got into the same trouble as her older brother did, but luckily Titus took care of her and made sure his little sister didn't get a scratch on her. Pain filled his heart every time he looked at his twisted paw, of course he didn't ever wan the same fate coming to Medusa. Titus told her everything about their parents, how they were carless and didn't care about their children, how he had to find the food every night and they demanded the best serving. Slowly. Due to Titus bitter comments, Medusa herself began to grow a burning hatred towards her parents, snapping at them at every turn and making sure they knew they weren't welcome in the house where they did no work. People are right when they say young ones are easily convinced, Medusa was know exception to that rule.
A couple of years after her birth, another litle boy was born into the family, a male with the name of Landers. He was given the same treatment as Medusa and Titus though both took him under their wing when their parents failed to provide care.
