"Hi, my name is Devon! I'm really glad I could meet you! So you want to know more about me? Alright, I can tell you all about me myself. I'm sure I can do a better job of telling you all about who am I than anybody else could!"
"I'm generally really fun to be around! Oh and i also love messing with others and playing pranks. I don't really do anything harmful, though sometimes I still get in trouble anyways. I just like to mess around with people and make them laugh. doesn't that sound like a lot of fun?"I've also got loads of energy. I've been told I could probably run forever and never get tired. I just can't help that I'm overly hyper. I just can't go without activity for too long or I pretty much explode! I love to move around and play a lot.""I'm also...I guess i'm a bit too loud for my own good sometimes. I just love to talk to people and laugh and generally have a lot of fun. Though, I know sometimes I can really annoy people by being too loud, but I know when to back off usually. I don't like to make people mad at me, because that's no fun at all"
"Well, I really love colors, especially when they're all together to form a rainbow! I also love painting as well because I use all sorts of amazing colors. I'm not really good at painting, but it is still a lot of fun."
"I also love running! Running is a really great way to be active and it uses up a lot of my large amount of energy. I'm actually quite fast since I run around so much. Because of this, I can get out of bad situations pretty easily, especially if one of my pranks didn't go exactly as I planned"
"I also love friends and other people. I'm a really social guy and can't stand not talking with others. I mean, its not fun being by yourself after all. when you have a lot of friends around to play with, everything is fun! Even studying or listening to some boring speech is better with friends around"
"I really don't like when its too sunny. As much as I like the sun, when it's too bright I can barely see! Its not fun doing anything with a blinding light hindering your every move!""I also dislike sitting still for way too long. I just can't sit still when there are so many opportunities to have a lot of fun or play an awesome prank! I also like to keep my stamina up, so sitting around all day wouldn't help"
"I hate when pranks go wrong or people misunderstand me. Sometimes I'll set up a prank, but something won't work right and people think I would be trying to hurt people! I never really try to hurt people, but I guess my reputation as a prankster precedes me. Luckily I never mess up on my pranks a lot or I would get in even more trouble whenever something messed up!"
"Adding on to what I just said, I hate hurting people or acting terribly mean. I don't mess up like that a lot, but sometimes I do and I feel so terrible about it. I always try to make up for mistakes like that, though usually I have to stay away for a little. I once had something thrown at me while trying to apologize!"

Best Friend
"I have a lot of friends, but I would have to say my best friend is King! He's another Simara just like me, except he doesn't have as many accessories as I do. He does have this pretty cool tiara though, but he refuses to call it anything but a crown. Anyways, King and I met when we were really young and hit it off really well. We've been playing together ever since we met and have had loads of fun. He is basically my wingman when it comes to pranks. He leads the unsuspecting simaras in to all the pranks. Of course, if something goes wrong, he is the first to save them. He goes along with all of my plans and is never quick to judge, though sometimes he does try to convince me to not do certain things. King is a loyal friend who, despite all the pranks and mistakes I've made, sticks by me like a true wingman. I have a lot of friends, but I think King would have to be the best of them all"

Good Friends
"I also have two other friends who aren't as close as King, but they're still pretty awesome. One of my friends is named Patriot! He is really loud and loves to play around with me. He isn't as in to pranks like I am though and is constantly trying to talk me out of them. Of course he never succeeds, but he really shows determination haha!"
"My other good friend is called Lance! I only met him just recently and he wears these really cool goggles. I keep trying to get him to let me try them on, but he seems pretty protective of them. Then again, King is the same way about his "crown" so I guess they think I'm going to break them? Anyways, Lance is really fun and just as hyperactive as I am. I think once I get to know him better we'll become the best of friends!"

Necklace"The first of my accessories is a simple necklace with blue beads attached to it. Well I think they are called beads. Anyways, these were a gift from my grandmother when I was younger. She said this necklace belonged to her own mother and was passed down to her. My own mother...well...she was incapable of inheriting it so my grandmother passed it down to me for her. It has been in our family for a very long time and means a lot to me. I may be playful and carefree, but I would never do anything to endanger this necklace."Medallion"This medallion was actually a gift from my best friend King! Its actually made of gold with a blue crystal in the middle. King gave it to me when we were exploring him family's treasure trove. Unlike my family, King's family is very prosperous. They have all these cool trinkets they've found from all over. This medallion came from a jungle very far from here and was brought to their family by King's father! He decided to give it to me because we had become great friends. I have not been able to pay back King for this awesome gift, but I know one day I will!" Ankle Wraps"Actually, there's no real fun story or touching moment behind this wraps of mine. I was digging around one day and I managed to find these scraps of some kind of cloth. I brought them back to my dad and he helped me make them in to these awesome wraps. They're not really special and easily replaceable, but i found them all by myself! Isn't that awesome?"Tail Bracelets"Oh those, I keep forgetting about them! Maybe its because I don't look back at my tail too much? anyways, these are actually a family tradition! Anyone born in my family earns one every time they pass through a rite of passage. the most we can have is three and once we have all three, we are recognized as a full member of the family! I only just recently earned my third bracelet and it was very difficult! Luckily I've built up a lot of endurance and stamina through all my running and playing around or I might have never earned it! I don't think my family recognizes me as mature yet, but I guess its understandable. Mature simaras don't seem to do anything fun at all!"Halo"I was actually born with this halo. I know, I know, it sounds too far fetched to be true. But I'm serious! My mother says when I was born, they noticed this glint of gold on my head. eventually they recognized it as a halo! My mother and father decided I was a gift from the gods and meant to do a lot of good. I figure it was just random luck that I was born with this halo. If I were some kind of angelic creation, I'd probably not prank other simaras all the time!"Ring"This little gold ring of mine was found by yours truly! It was my first ever real treasure I ever discovered! I was running around with King one day digging holes for our next prank when I noticed something shiny! I tried to pull it out myself, but I couldn't! King ended up having to come over and show me how his family retrieves treasure from the ground. I was lucky to have my best friend along or I would have never been able to get it out! King got it out for me and showed me that it was this really old ring. When we found it, there was rust all over it! We managed to get it all cleaned up though thanks to King. I was going to give it to him as a thanks, but King refused to take it! So I've kept it on me ever since. King is such a good friend....I really hope I can pay him back one day!"
"You want to know about my past? Well okay, I'll try my best to remember. most of what I'm going to say is actually what my father told me since I was too young to remember myself. It's too bad I can't remember because I don't even know if my dad is telling the truth!"
"Anyways, I was born in the jungle on a really rainy day. My dad told me that I was crying up my own little storm and the rainwater hitting us was not helping a thing! Apparently they did not expect me to be born when I was during a storm. My mother and father ended up having to crawl under a rather large leaf and wait out the storm after I was born, doing their best to keep the rain from hitting me. I've been told I was crying the whole time and hiccuping every time the sound of thunder rang through the forest. My parents sat there wi me for hours and hours until the storm finally passed. By then I had fallen asleep with my mother, which meant I had finally quieted down. Once the storm was over, my parents traveled back to the family's area of the forest. Everybody was so worried since we had been out longer than we had planned to. they found out why though when they saw my mother carrying me carefully back with my father."
"My mother had died that very night. Apparently she had always been weak and giving birth during a storm had not helped. My father had tried to help her by carrying me, but apparently she refused his help. she wanted to carry her son all by herself, and in the end, was unable to survive the bout of sickness she received from all the stress. I don't really remember her at all, but my father always told me that she was amazingly kind and gorgeous. I wish she was still around, but I guess I wouldn't be here if it had not been for her strength. My father tells me she's always watching me from heaven. sometimes I wonder if that's why I was born with this tiny wings, so one day I could fly up there and reunite with her once again. Or at the very least see her again!"
"Anyways, most of my life after that was pretty uneventful. My father took care of me with the help of my grandparents. My father collected berries while my grandparents watched over me and taught me all sorts of things! My grandfather taught me how to be kind to others and how to talk properly to others as well. she even taught me not to use certain words that I picked up from other adult Simaras. My grandfather, on the other hand, taught me the importance of excercise and how to build my endurance and stamina. when he was younger, my grandfather was big on exploring the jungle! He would run around looking through everything, bringing home trinkets that he managed to find to my grandmother. By that point in time, many of our trinkets were gone because we didn't know where to store them properly. We still had important ones though, like my necklace and the family bracelets!"
"I eventually met my best friend King when I was old enough to run around by myself without falling over. I was actually with my father helping him gather berries for the family when I noticed a black figure in the distance. I had asked my father if I could go check it out by myself. I figured he would tell me no and to stay with him, but he actually said yes! So I dashed over to where the figure was to find out that it was another Simara just like me! At first I actually thought King was a girl from the tiara he was wearing. Figured out pretty fast, though, when King got offended when I called him a girl. I apologized really fast thou because I didn't want to make him mad at me! I was lucky that King was easily forgiving! "
"After we got the whole gender mixup straightened out, King and I started talking for a while. ?i had never really met any other Simaras outside my part of the jungle before, so hearing about where he lived was fascinating. I was a bit jealous because apparently his family let him explore ALL the time! My dad never let me really go out too far by myself, but here King was on the other side of the jungle! after a while though my father made me come back, so I had to say goodbye to King. I thought I wasn't ever going to see King again, but the very next day he appeared in our housing area! I'm really happy King made the forget to visit too, because we wouldn't be friends if he hadnt! "
"Anyways, a bit later I had my very first rite of passage! In our family, you have to earn your right to be recognized as an adult. They want to make sure that the adults of the family are strong and brave and can be ready to handle whatever happens!"
"So, my first rite of passage was to travel through our half of the jungle and retrieve specific items that would be helpful to the family. They never told me what I had to get because that would be cheating. So that day, with King by my side, I ran out in to the jungle without any adults. King was there to be a friend and to learn himself since his family didn't do things like this. they just learned from experience. I thought it was pretty silly how Kings family was, but I didn't say it out loud."
"Anyways, we walked around the jungle all day talking and collecting items. We ended up finding berries for food, some leaves to build shelters, and some sticks to makes fires or whatever else they were used for. We had to hurry back home though because we were being timed. King was really slow though since he wasn't always running around and building endurance like I was! He never really had a lot of energy like me. He was practically on the verge of collapsing when we got back, so he ended ou staying the night! that night I even learned my first bracelet. I was so excited when they out it on, even more when I found out King was staying! We had a blast that night, bouncing around and playing games with my other relative kids. we all eventually had to go to sleep though because my grandmother was tired of hearing our loud squealing. I thought she would be used to loud noises since I apparently snore, but I guess not!"
"My next rite of passage was a few years later and it was much different. This time King actually couldn't be there with me, so I ended up going with my friend Patriot! I had met Patriot a few weeks earlier while playing hide and seek with King. I ran around this tree and right in to Patriot! Apparently he was running just as fast as I was, so it really hurt when we collided. his family had moved in to the jungle only recently, so he didn't have any friends yet. He was playing all by himself! So I invited him to play with me and King. We had a lot of fun and became good friends in no time!"
"Anyways, Patriot and I took off to run around the island as fast as we could. We had to run around the whole island and bring back certain things my family had buried around. It was basically like a bit treasure hunt! Patriot was a bit better than I was, because he has even more energy than I do! He dugout treasures in no time flat! we managed to get all the trinkets and treasure and return back to my family just in time. If we had taken any longer, I probably wouldn't have earned my second bracelet."
"A lot of my life passed by without anything really eventful, though along the way I learned about pranks and how to create some pretty amazing ones! King and Patriot didn't seem to be as adept at pranks as I was, and still am, but they helped out whenever they could. They even helped clean up the mess if anything went wrong or the prank made a big mess!"
"My final rite of passage was actually a couple of weeks ago. For this one neither King or Patriot could come with me because the final one is the most important! For this one, its all about strength and endurance! I had to run this really difficult obstacle course and get it done within a certain time! It was really difficult and I almost failed, but luckily I had been training for it my whole life! I passed barely and managed to come back to my friends and family with only a few cuts. That day was really important for me, because I had finally become a grown and recognized Simara. i still did my pranks and acted like I normally would, but i finally had all three of my tail bracelets!"
"Now, this is more recent, but a couple of days ago I met my final good friend Lance! Apparently his family had been traveling for almost his whole life! He said they used to be nomads, but finally decided to settle down because it was becoming too difficult to travel all the time. He was a bit strange at first because of his different history, but we ended up becoming good friends. He and King seemed to hit it off really well, though Patriot didn't like him all that much. I guess my friends can't all by friends together, but Patriot tolerates him at least! So we can all still play around and have fun even if we're not all friends!"
Tag"One of my favorite games to play happens to be tag! Its actually really challenging to play in the jungle because of all the trees you have to run around. I can't even tell you how many times I've ran in to something, somebody, or pretty much tripped over my own paws! When we're playing, we have a rule where you can't stop at all! You have to constantly keep moving in some way because the game would be hide-and-seek if you just hid in the trees! We also have a rule that the person who is "it" can yell out something and everyone HAS to answer. It's because we ca get lost easily in the trees, making it a game of hide-and-seek again!"
"You also can't tackle someone else to the ground because the way we run could really hurt somebody. Patriot doesn't seem to get this concept yet, so he isn't really asked to play much. He's just so determined he practically tramples over the poor person he catches. He once got me and I couldn't walk right for days! Anyways, its a pretty simple game and a ton of fun. We get a lot of exercise from it, though King doesn't seem to be really accustomed to all the running yet. He can run a lot like me and Lance, but he doesn't run as much and doesn't have a high endurance"Racing"I think racing is probably my favorite game of all time! I just love to run around, so its not surprise I love it so much! King doesn't like it as much as me though, so he doesn't usually race me at all! Patriot and Lance, though, love to race with me. Have you ever seen three overly excited simara's racing through a thick forest trying to to run in to a tree? Well, its pretty awesome. I think I've hit a tree a few times, but I'm lucky compared to Lance. He seems to hit every single tree there is! Somehow he still beats Patriot though, which is kind of funny. Patriot gets all mad when Lance beats him, so we usually have to go calm him down."
"When it comes to music, I actually really don't like any of that weird stuff I've heard people listen to. I really like the traditional music my family plays in the jungle. We made our own instruments out of all the surrounding plants and trees around us. King, Lance, Patriot and I even have our own handmade drums! MY dad helped us make them by scouring the jungle for the needed materials and showing us how to build them. We even got to smear berries on them to make really cool designs! King wasn't to happy with how his came out, but he still plays with us! All we do is either beat on the drums with our paws or put them all together and bounce on top of them one at a time. We try and stay in tune with the rest of my family's music, but sometimes we just get lost in the fun!"
"Our music is really catchy and sounds pretty rustic. We've got all sorts of weird sounds and constant drums beating in the background. Sometimes we even have Simaras come and sing! Patriot just loves to sing, but he's really no that good. We don't say anything to him though because nobody wants to offend him. "
"My family is really strict about our traditions. I don't really like strict people or following the rules too much, but I always follow out family traditions. It's an insult to our ancestors and deceased not following tradition and I'd never want to dishonor my mother."
"For starters, we never stay out late past a certain time. My family is really superstitious and thinks that staying out too late can lead to bad things or omens or whatever they called it. Its a bit of a mood killer, especially when I see King and the others running around as late as they want. I really wish I could run around with them too, but I have to respect my family and stay in our den."
"Another one of our traditions is for us males to be the ones to collect food and leave the family den area. Its because we're the strong ones in the family. The girls are supposed to stay by the dens unless they're with one of us males. I kinda disagree with this tradition though, because one of my female cousins can pin me to the ground faster than I can blink! She's even faster than I am and better at tracking down trinkets! But she and I both respect the traditions, so she's stuck here unless we go out together. I like to have her tag along with me, but only when Patriot isn't around. Those two are always getting in to loud arguments!"
"Another one of our traditions is the rite of passages. If yo don't complete them all, you're treated like a little kid until you do. The bracelets of mine are actually one of a kind really. Our family goes out and looks for three similar trinkets, so they're actually different with each of us! My father has three piercings in one of his ears. I thought ti was pretty cool, but they gave me these tail bracelets instead. Anyways, each of the rites determines your ability to survive and take care of others in time of need. It's actually a lot of fun, but takes a lot of preparation. We pretty much start training when we're old enough to walk without falling over! I think the only really old one of us who hasn't completed it is my Uncle. People don't treat him with a lot of respect, but he's still pretty cool. He was injured when he was younger, so he could never complete his final rite and has been babied ever since. He says its annoying and is always yelling at people who try to treat him like a kid. that might be why he doesn't get a lot of respect though"
I know i don't have too many amazing pictures or that cool gif like Agana has, but I really wanted to focus more on developing his past, personality, family relations, habits, etc. I'm hoping I win this boy despite my lack of a lot of amazing pictures. Even if i don't, whoever wins can use all of the images I did for Devon. I can remove King from the other image because I did them on seperate layers, so that's a usable image too. Thank you for the opportunity to try out for such a lovely simara and may the best form win <3
