Name: Hikaru ("radiance")
How he got his name: Hikaru obtained his name from the great god, Tsukuyomi (the moon god). After aiding Tsukuyomi in putting out a gigantic fire near a small town near Mount Takao, the god deemed him "Hikaru" after the radiant spirit he showed saving so many lives. Because of Hikaru's valiant act, Tsukuyomi blessed his fan with the kanji "heaven" and "messenger", since he had been the messenger to Tsukuyomi and he was deemed the angel of the village.
