History: Acacia and Rin were, or so it seemed, perfect sisters. They did everything together, even occasionally shared a bed. So you can just imagine Rin's disappointment when Acacia started going out with a young JMD and turned their world upside down. He a purple jewel, and she admired his powers, but anyone could be wowed by his talent. One evening, he suggested taking Acacia up a cliff to look at the water. Before the end of their 'date' however, He and another JMD had both thrown ropes around Acacia's neck and were dragging her toward a building. It was raining heavily, and her powers were no good. Her "Boyfriend's" jewel was changing color. The purple spraypaint that had hidden it ran down his face, revealing all the jewel colors there were. Both of her captors shoved her through the building's door, where a human thanked them briskly and led her into the next room. He heaved her onto a table and rang a small bell, which brought others. They held her down while the main one gave her a vaccination that rendered her motionless, except for the motion of her eyes. The humans filed out except for two, one of whom stood by Acacia's head, the other by her tail. Several small pots were lined up beside the table, and she gasped as one human took a blood sample from her shoulder, trickling a little into each one. They both filed over to Acacia's tail, locking it needlessly into a metal brace and then placing it inside a device resembling a misshapen hole puncher. She heard a sharp click, and saw that there was a hole in her jewel's outer casing. One of them took a syringe of the white liquid and added it to her original red jewel. The two took a clear glue-like substance from the counter and filled the hole, bandaging her tail tightly before moving on to her forehead. They made the hole with a small metal hammer, repeating the process, bandaging her jewels upon finishing. They then attached a leash to her neck, and led her to a cage beside more cages, with other Jewelies in them. She collapsed on the pillows in the back noticing a schedule for the operations. She found her name. But how do they . . .? Oh, yeah, that slimy traitor. So I have two weeks. Two weeks . . . She fell into a deep, painful sleep.

Upon waking, Acacia felt less pain from her jewels. She looked around her cell. There were the pillows she had been sleeping on, two bowls with food and water, a litter box - yuck - a mirror, and a few toys and books. She walked over to the mirror. Her jewels were still bandaged. She could see a clock outside the cages - 8 o'clock in the morning. Acacia realized there were windows in the cells, too - outside, she could hear birds chirping. She smoothed her fur a little and ate breakfast from the food bowl. Not bad, not bad at all. She thought. And now, I shall plan my escape. Acacia looked at the latch on the door - it was actually pretty flimsy. She looked at the schedule, and found a day when there were no operations. A plan began to form itself in the genius's mind. She gave her neighbors a message to pass on - be ready to run in eleven days.

The day of the escape drew near. Everyone was ready. Night fell, and the humans left. Acacia drew back her tail, took careful aim, and broke the latch. She yelled "FIRE IN THE EQUIPMENT ROOM!!!!!!" at the top of her lungs, banging the button which unlocked all the cages and took off, grabbing the latch as she went. The others followed, and pursuit was hopeless. The group bid each other farewell at the base of the hill, and went their separate ways.

Upon arriving home the next morning, Acacia was greeted by an overjoyed but confused Rin. She swept her sister up with her tail and sat down with her on the couch. "Oh, Rin . . . Let me tell you a story."
And she did.


Personality:
Acacia is a genius. That goes without saying. She can be a bit short-tempered and snappish, but Acacia always has time for her little sister. Well, almost always. She's awkward with strangers, like Rin, but she does her best not to make a total fool of herself. Acacia can be shy, but she's mostly over it. She's also quite confident, probably because she doesn't even hear someone call her "teacher's pet".


Opinion on Rin's laces: "They're interesting. Take some getting used to, though."


Hobbies/interests: Like Rin, Acacia is interested in science. She invents like her younger sister, and she made a machine to help Rin fall asleep when they were younger. SHe also finds biology and bioengineering interesting, and she made an animal that she calls a mini griffin - a housecat or small wildcat crossed with a bird. She is currently trying to create a mini hippogriff - for which she would need a miniature horse.

Aside from that, she adores reading.


Accent: English, like Rin. Very faint, though, sometimes not detectable at all.


Scent: A little like Rin's perfume, but mostly she smells like various animals, and sometimes machinery. Or soap after I make her take a bath when she's been shut in her room with her science for days.

A chocolate lab with unnaturally long fur. Acacia got her as a birthday present three years ago.

A mechanical bunny . . . thing. She and Rin made him.

Why I want/deserve her: The moment I saw her . . . I was addicted. I adored her. I thought about her at random times. I talked to her in my head. I can't really say I deserve her . . . there are better forms, people who will draw her more or give her a better home. But I love her.
