Gunnar Sigurd

Name? He could go by many, and does, it depends on the individual you're asking. He's been called Loki or Vidar and Gerd but never has his name ever been related to Mercy... He has grown a liking to the name Gunnar Sigurd. Which is a combination of the old Norse names Gunnar and Sigurd, the meaning is War Guardian, something he is proud of, because he has won quite a few battles... More by reputation than face-to-face confrontations, but is a fierce and strong brute nonetheless.

He is a male, or brute. However you choose to say it, he is most definitely not female.

Ah, now the interesting part, and my favorite part, his personality...
He is quiet unstable, and finds that most things hold interest in a cynical way. He doesn't find much satisfaction in life, but would not give up his own to end his entirely exhausting existence. He is not that type, he is more of a 'make-everyone-else-feel-the-same-as-me' type. He finds that most things irritate him, or scares him mentally. He is paranoid and often tells himself that the voices are responsible for the things he's done. Gunnar often gets into arguments with himself and cannot make up his mind, he doesn't sleep which is counterproductive for his weak mind. Like anyone with a similar mental problem, he has two different personalities. One that is 'normal', calm and reserved, polite almost, wouldn't hurt a fly. And the other is a bloodthirsty maniac that holds the other silent and hostage in the same space of Gunnar's cranium. Because of this almost constant argument in his head, he suffers severe head pains and delusions. He often stays quiet for fear that his condition is fully realized by others. He doesn't even socialize with anything other than himself, it's lonely, actually. But those voice whisper that he'll be alright and feel better if he destroys something. Attacks someone. Kills some livestock. He's just not right, and fears that no-one can help him.

His history is not pretty, and I would not like to dwell on it for very long because it's very difficult to bring up. He was young and witnessed his father rip apart his mother, he was the same as Gunnar. Hearing voices, seeing things, mixed personalities. He couldn't shake himself of the images, and had to stay with his father until he could fend for himself. One moment he was snapping at him, the next just being sweet and soft to him. He was confused and feared his father tremendously. He was always alert near him and as he aged their relationship was stressed. He said he acted like his mother to much, being quiet and sheltered. He needed to stop being so quiet. So soft. So pathetic. He never got over the day his father attacked him and drove him off...All teeth and blood and gore....It was just too much....

His art is being worked on right now, I'm not the best artist and I only have a mouse, no tablet at this house... I'll do my best...
