i would call this most beautiful bean 'perrie'
perrie means 'pear tree', and her golden spots remind me of those on an asian pear. ❀

perrie's the name! it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance! ❀






perrie's accessories are simple. from her tail and right front paw, are some hangings.
golden beads, the color of the spots on her fur, and matching her eyes,
and old treasure; chinese coins. they hang from silver strings wrapped gracefully around her wrist and tail,
they jingle slightly when she moves. this has a couple of meanings to it. the coins are decorative and for good luck,
but the sound they make is that of a bell. the bell sound is representative of beauty, something that perrie is not lacking. ❀

while perrie's designs remind me of a chinese fish kite,
the one thing that really came to mind was turquoise.
the patterns on the mineral loosely flow like her own fur
and the bronze-y color that appears in turquoise resembles her spots. ❀

"Well just the other day, when I was here, Anita came too me with the most stunning jewelry I have ever seen. It is the tikka that a lot of women from India wear. A gift from the lovely Indian dancer Anita herself when this little bean attended one of her shows. She told me that lots of women wear them while dancing and, since dancing is her passion, she wears them when she performs, and sometimes even when she isn't. She has other pieces as well, such as bangles, but by far her headdress and necklace are her favorites, and I agree with her on that, ho ho!"

Name; Genevieve - Genevieve is a French name (which is her origin) and means "white wave". This relates to Genevieve in that her family were avid fishermen and women, and they always told Gen (pronounced 'Jen') that she had been born of the foaming waves. Gen knows that tall tale isn't true, but the sea had been such a sacred place to her that when she moved to her new home, she built it by the ocean.
