Story: well tawny was walking along a trail in the forest. But then she heard some leaves rustle and she saw a shadow. So she started running away. The thing followed her. aND sjhe tripped and twisted her ankle. It turns out the shadow was only a tree sawying in th wind, that was also making the leaves rustle.

Before her current handler and owner purchased her,
She was living on a small ranch out in the country. Her
owner then was a drunken fool half the time. Loud,
rude, rough. Over the few years she'd been there, he
had grown cold towards the animals. One day, when he
was getting her tack up and ready to take her for a quick
ride out into town to buy some things, he startled her,
which caused her to rear and lash out. He struck her leg
with a riding crop,

One fine, summer morning, April and I were practising on the jumps as we normally do. We were preparing for the local competitions, which we had come second and third in many years before. This year, I wanted to aim for first and I could tell, by the way she lunged at each jump, April wanted to do so too. This was our year!

But, as we were going around the course for the fourth time, my pet cat, Brutus, ran in front of April and I. This caused me to pull sharply on the reigns to stop us from colliding with the cat. April was not ready for this command, so we ended up doing a half-jump over one of the fences. Brutus ran away unscathed whist April and I scrambled to our feet. I had a small lump on my forehead where my head smacked down onto the woodchip surface. Luckily I was wearing my helmet, so I didn't have anything more serious wrong with me! However, as I looked at April, I noticed her leg was bleeding. She had scraped he leg against one of the poles as we had come down.

Worried for my mare, I led her back to her stall slowly and rushed into the tack room to get my emergency first aid kit. I applied antiseptic to the wound, much to April's annoyance, and bandaged it up tightly to prevent anymore blood flow. Hopefully her leg will heal soon, though I don't think we'll make it to the competition. I care more about April's welfare anyway!!!
