Meaning;;
Valtameri is ocean in finnish, I thought
it was very intricate, just like her design.
Gender;;
Female. I tried to picture this beauty
as a female; it didn't work
Story;;
I grew up with the ocean around me.
I never had any experience on the mainland, as I was
always out in the blue. I grew up alone, I had
parents, but one day, they just left me. I was
left to fend for myself, as I was also a single pup.
I never really new the power of the ocean, no big
storms had come my way, no winds blew to us, always
into the sea. Then I learned. It was a sunny day, not
a single cloud in the sky, but no birds either.
I didn't know what was wrong. But then I saw.
Over in the distance, a dark cloud, a misty sheet beneath.
I had no idea about what to do. I freaked out, shouting
into the seaminglessly empty skies. Then the air grew
damp, raindrops peppered the ground, the waves
crept higher on the beach. My paws guided me to
a palm, rather tall and rough, a spray of leaves at
the top. I mindlessly scrambled to the top.
Then the waves came
I closed my eyes, gritting my teeth. Sand and wind
blew into my fur, waves rocked the palm. I didn't
know what happened next, I probably lost consciousness.
I found myself down on the beach again, calm waves
lapping at my paws. But was it a beach? I couldn't tell.
I could feel myself thinking.
It's okay, Valtameri. It's alright.
Because when I looked around, I could tell, it wasn't a beach.
It was an underwater cave. Not very big either; I was running
out of air.
In all my life, I had only dreamed of coming down to one
of these caves. But it's only now that I come down.
And when I o reach this place, I'm in danger.
Well, it's a quite bittersweet gift.
Come on, Valta, theres no time to derp around.
I need to get out.
So I went 'yolo' and jumped right in, letting out a gasp.
The water was ice cold, but I couldn't do anything about it.
I saw light above me, and I took the first stroke up.
And that first movement, it let me know. The sea
stole me, and she was never gonna give me back.

the jewel of the ocean
How I became the sea; owl city wrote:June was the lobster shell
I dug by hand
A haven that hid me well
Beneath the sand
The wide windy waves washed in
But I stayed dry
The great breakers broke again
As I nodded off inside
And then
When the Empress ran aground
And my eyes turned blue and green
I heard a gorgeous sound
And that's when it became a dream
When the sky fell in
When the hurricanes came for me
I could finally crash again
And that's how I became the sea
I wrenched the engines off
And drank them down
The depths turned the iron soft
As they swiftly drowned
And I brought the ocean side
To its rusty knees
As I felt the even tide
Deep in my shallow dreams
And then
When the Empress ran aground
And my eyes turned blue and green
I heard a gorgeous sound
And that's when it became a dream
When the sky fell in
When the hurricanes came for me
I could finally crash again
And that's how I became the sea
When the sky fell in
When the hurricanes came for me
I could finally crash again
And that's how I became the sea
That's how I became the sea
That's how I became the sea
