Username: Aeolus
Pacaling name: Midas
Gender: Male
Why is he/she so lucky?: Although born in Egypt, anyling could tell that he had some Greek blood in him given his name Midas. For those who weren't familiar with the curse of the golden touch, have no fear, for you would soon find out just exactly what the golden touch is when the pacaling prodded you. No need to be afraid though. Unlike his namesake, he had no craving for power and would sooner turn himself to gold than turn a pacaling to metal. Having the ability to turn things he touched into gold wasn't a curse so far as the young pacaling knew. He hadn't turned anybody he liked into gold yet, [s]only the pacalings he disliked[/s], so that was a stroke of luck from his point of view. All he had used his power for was the good of his family. Turning sand into gold and then allowing his friends, parents, and siblings to take it to sell were among the list of things that he did. It was easy for the small slave-like family to rise out of poverty and somehow become no-name nobles in Eygpt. A large feat to do. Midas' power was kept under wraps and he rarely exited the house except for formal matters (in which then he would briefly stick his head in, smile, and then retreat), yet despite the pressure that was upon him to stay undercover, he wasn't taken for granted by his family, as some may think. In fact, when the night was upon then, visiting hours were over, and business was done, he would often play in the Nile. As he waded into the water each day, the sediment beneath his hoofs would turn to gold. Perhaps this was why the Nile River was so bountiful with this precious metal. If that were true, then Midas' power had brought not only wealth to his family, but wealth to the nation, and, well, should young Midas know, he no doubt would've considered himself very lucky indeed.
